Concerning Ebait's name....
 by Articman

Ignoring for the moment the utter tastelessness of Theresa naming Julian's son after the man that Theresa believed had murdered Julian, with the evidence that he did, too boot. Or the fact that Theresa is desperately trying to use the child to win Ethan back to her side, so they can raise Julian's son together as one big happy family.
I can't help but wonder how big of an Ogre the writers are going to make Julian out to be when he asks that Ebait's name be changed. (Personally, I think that he is perfectly justified in doing this, but that he should do this.) Not that the name be changed to Julian Jr. or Alistair or anything like that. But the simple changing of the order of Ebait's name. From Ethan Martin Crane to Martin Ethan Crane.

As I understand it, Ebait hasn't been Christianed yet and that that would be the perfect time for Julian to ask that Ebait's name be changed. Personally, I don't know why Julian hasn't asked for this just yet. I would think that Ebait's name would be like a constant and deliberate slap in Julian's face. To have a son named after the son that he loved and raised, only to be torn from him by the revelation of Ivy's cruel deception. A child whose name would remind him of this and the bitter pain this revelation had brought him.

Besides, Julian was denied the opportunity to name his child, to have a say in the childs name. Which he should have had. If it wasn't for the fact that Julian was in hiding, in fear for his life, recoving from a murder attempt, that for all he knew Theresa may have committed, if not Ethan himself. Julian would have had a say in naming his child.

I think that Julian should be asking that Ebait's name be changed. If nothing else, just the order of his name. Unfortunately, JERk will only use this to make Julian look like some sort of Ogre while promoting and advancing his princess.

What do you think?
