Subj: Trust- the fundamental problem of Passions Couples
Date: 9/29/2002

TC said something very interesting on Friday.

He was talking with Simone about her being with Chad. Simonethinks that she’s going to be with Chad. Eve said that there would be plenty ofother boys. TC said that Simone would gain Chad’s trust, and that over time, itwould be their foundation.

“ Just like I trust your mother.”, TC said. Ah, what irony.

But, thinking about it, TRUST is a constant problem withPassions couples.

Let’s look and see.

Ethan/Theresa

Edumb has said it himself – the reason he’s not with Theresais because he can’t trust her. It’s because every other word out of her mouthis a lie.

Ethan/Gwen

Gwen doesn’t trust Edumb. She says that she doesn’t trustTheresa – trying to blame her for everything. But, honestly, she doesn’t trustEdumb. Why should she, if she REALLY thought about it. She’d never trust a manwho did what Edumb did to her.

Chad/Whitney

I don’t know why Chad remotely trusts Whitney. Since the daythat they met, she’s never stood up for him, let alone their relationship. Whenpush comes to shove, Whitney has three million excuses as to why she can’t behonest to the world about them.

Charity/Miguel

Charity trusts Miguel, though Miguel is lying to Charityabout sleeping with Kay. So, there is a breach of trust.

TC/Eve

Eve is lying to TC about, well, everything. Eve hasn’t toldTC because she doesn’t TRUST him. TC doesn’t know what he shouldn’t trust hiswife.

Julian/Eve

Eve tells Grace that she will never trust Julian again. Theirony is that Eve trusts Julian more than she does TC on several levels.

Sam/Grace

Sam basically trusts Grace, but doesn’t trust David. Gracetrusts Sam, but doesn’t trust Ivy. They are both right in their suspicions.

Sheridan/Luis

Out of all the couples in Harmony, Shuis’ problems aren’t caused by a lack of trust. These two arecompletely open with one another.
