A Brand New Twist - Chapter 2 (Evian, TC)

This is a story that took on a mind of its own after a little prodding for some friends. You know who you are. *g*
A little set-up for you. Eve and Julian reconnected in her office, and this brand new story is what happens afterward.

Chapter 2

Eve made a futile attempt to button her blouse while Julian's busy hands continued to thwart her at every turn. She knew she would be having a lot more success if his touch didn’t feel so incredibly good. "Julian, stop," she purred.

He pressed his rugged chest against her back. Even through their clothing, the evidence of his need throbbed against her backside. She sighed when his fingertips grazed the sensitive tip of her left breast through the lace of her bra.

"My love, that's not quite the way you said it on the desk, or when we went back to the couch, or in the shower just now. Mmm," he groaned, swirling his tongue around the shell of her ear, before pulling the lobe into his mouth and suckling it like his favorite candy. "You left off the 'don't' this time."

"That was not by chance, Julian.” Feeling her resolve weakening from the tenderness of his touch, she faced him and took a couple of steps back. “We have to stop,” she said with as much conviction as she could muster, fastening her blouse the rest of the way. “I forgot how insatiable you are."

"Are you complaining?"

She shook her head. "Uh-uh. I can't tell you how much I've missed being with you."

"And I, you, Eve. It’s no secret I’ve been with my share of women, but you were the first, last, and only woman I've ever made love to. And you're right, I can't get enough of you." Julian’s lips trailed against her neck and his hands up and down her sides, before finding her mouth and engaging in a deep, sensual kiss.

His probing tongue stirred the embers of passion that burned deep in her being. "Julian, please, we have to stop," she murmured against his lips, before finally pulling back again.

"Eve, I need to be with you.” Taking her hand, he returned her to circle of his arms. “Once more," he whispered in her ear. "Let me love you one more time."

"That's what you said when we went back to the couch. You, yourself, just mentioned the encore in the shower."

"Yes, but we were standing up."

She laughed. "It doesn't matter. I promise, we'll be together again soon, but I have to make my final rounds, and I really think you should go home. We were lucky no one found us. We took a real chance in here. Several of them.”

"Not that we need any help in spicing things up, but be truthful, Eve, didn't you find it thrilling? Even daring? It was spontaneous, and so, so good.” His eyes raked up and down her body, stripping her dressed form completely bare. “Mmm, you are so incredible."

Tingles ran up and down her spine. His sexy voice, his unbuttoned shirt, and the way he looked at her was her undoing, and he was all too aware of that fact. She frowned. "Damn it, Julian, you stop that."

He laughed. "You know all my tricks now, huh?"

"I know you, okay. My office is no longer our love shack. We have to be more careful from now on."

Julian nodded in agreement. "You're absolutely right. We do need to be careful. From now on, nothing but satin sheets and down pillows for you.”

"Sounds heavenly, but in the interim, there's still some things we need to deal with. Or should I say, some people."

"TC and Rebecca?"

"Yes. You know, I never imagined I would cheat on TC.” She closed her eyes, shaking her head in disbelief. “That I would commit adultery."

"Don't think of what we did as adultery.” He lifted her downcast chin. “I mean it, Eve, it wasn't. Like I said before, we're married to each other in our hearts. I belong to you and you belong to me. TC is going to be hurt, but he'll have to understand. I am never going to let you go again. Not ever." Julian lips gave hers a soft caress. “I can talk to him with you.”

She scoffed. "Yeah, that will go over real well. No, Julian, I can handle TC. It's just going to be tough."

"If you change your mind about my coming, you know I’ll be more than willing to...."

She pressed her finger to his lips and shook her head. "I won't. It'll be okay." She gave him another kiss. "You're welcome to stay here as long as you want until you've, uh, pulled yourself together," she said with a coquettish grin, glancing in the direction of Little Julian.

"You are bad, Eve."

"And you love it."

"Yes, I do, but not nearly as much as I love you.”

“I love you, too, so much.”

He gave her one final kiss. “Call me."

“I will.” Eve walked out of the office and pressed her back against the door. She sighed in contentment and total bliss. The last few hours with Julian was time well spent, and though she felt some initial guilt, she had not one regret. Facing TC? She shook her head. How could she explain to her husband that she was in love with his worst enemy?

When Eve got home, she was surprised to find TC standing at the door waiting for her. He had a smile on his face, but his eye didn’t reflect the same happiness his mouth conveyed.

She chose to ignore the look. TC wasn’t exactly the warm and fuzzy type. "Were you waiting for me?" she asked.

TC nodded. "Yeah."

"Any particular reason?"

"Does a man need a reason to want to greet his beautiful, perfect wife, when she comes home from a long, hard day at work. I bet you got pounded today. You look overwrought."

Eve swallowed. That was an interesting choice of words considering the way she spent her afternoon. She walked into the living room and tossed her purse to the couch. "Yeah, TC, work was pretty busy. Where is Simone?"

“Simone is spending the night with Kay. Oh, and Liz went into Boston to take care of some business. She’ll be back in the morning.” TC smirked. “How about that, it’s just the two of us tonight.”

“That’s perfect, because I wanted us to talk--”

“Talking is good,” he said, breaking into her words. “I want to talk, too.” He folded his arms across his chest. “Tell me, did anything interesting happen today?"

"Interesting?"

"Yeah, you know, gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, hit and runs?” He jutted his head. “Your hair is different.”

Eve smoothed her hands over her hair. “Yeah, that, I was operating for several hours today. I took a shower afterwards and just pulled it back.” That wasn’t a complete lie, she reasoned, she was definitely operating today, just not in the OR. She chewed nervously on her bottom lip. "TC, is something bothering you? You're acting strange."

"I'm acting strange? How do you mean?"

"Well, I don't know. Just, uh, something doesn't feel right. Look, I really think we should talk," she said.

“I think talking can wait.” TC moved to where she stood. He trailed his forefinger against her cheek.

She flinched at his touch. "TC, don't."

"Don't? Don't what? Touch you? You are my beautiful, perfect wife, Eve. And I'm your husband." His hand cupped her cheek. He jerked her close to him. "As my wife, there are certain duties you are bound to perform.”

Her heart raced. She struggled to get away from him. "TC, I'm...I'm tired."

"You're tired?" He laughed. "Well, I imagine a marathon fu***ng session with Julian Crane will do that."

Eve gasped. Her heart stopped and body shook. He knew. He saw her with Julian. "TC, please, I can explain."

His grip tightened around her. "I don't want to hear you damn explanations, Eve. As a matter of fact, I don't want to hear another damn word from your filthy mouth!"

She had seen him angry before, but she’d never seen him like this. His eyes were cold and dark, and the sneer on his face. He was positively sinister. She didn’t recognize him. “You’re scaring me.” Eve tried to get out of his clutches, but every move only tightened his grip. Warm tears rolled down her cheeks. “TC, you’re hurting me.”

“You don’t know hurt, Eve.” He pushed her hard to the couch.

She wanted to move, to get away, but fear paralyzed her. Her tears flowed freely. “TC, please --”

“You want to be a slut?!!” Unbuckling his belt, he approached the couch. “I'll treat you like the slut you are."
