“Excuse me, you were out over night.” Rebecca said.
“No way.” He said dryly.

“What the hell is with those clothes, you like an idiot Julian!”

“I don’t like your tone one bit, now shut up!”

“What the hell were you up to, you have never dressed in a plaid shirt like that in your life, in fact, that’s something you’d make the hired help use as a rag to polish your many shot glasses!” She said dryly.

“Never mind about my clothing.”

“You were supposed to be at the hearing and when Judge Reilly called for little Ethan’s father, you were nowhere to be found.”

“Oh well, I’m sure you handled it my pet.” He said, tapping her on the head.

“Julian, little Ethan is your son, don’t you want him to be with Ethan and Gwen?”

“I want you to quit blackmailing me in every form and let Theresa have back her boy, she loves him and he’s better off with her.”

“Never!”

“Then don’t expect me to be at your beck and call.”

“Sure Julian, you can’t support my decision for the boy to be with Ethan and Gwen, but you can be off with that tramp Eve Russell in a heartbeat. All she has to do is snap her fingers and you’re there for her.” She said annoyed.

“And why shouldn’t I be, I love Eve very much and don’t you dare call her a tramp! What did I tell you about being rude to her?”

“I can do whatever I want, now piss off and get off my back. How can you love someone like that who’s unavailable? You’ll never have her Julian, T.C. will kill you.”

“Look, leave Eve out of the equation, this is about you and me and about how stupid your revenge is towards Theresa, you’re as bad as Liz and as I say to her, move on!” he yelled.

“That bitch killed my poor Gwennie’s baby, and I will do whatever it takes to get back at her and you’re going to help me, as soon as you get out of those ridiculous clothes!”

“They’re not that bad, I kind of like these jeans.” He said, looking in the long mirror.

“You’re Julian Crane, you’re a suit and tie man, not a jeans man, now take them off!”

“Oh I’ll take them off, but it won’t be for you.” He said dryly.

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” she said, with her hands on her hips.

“What do you think, have you checked your roots lately, in fact, I think you’re due for another dye job, I can see some gray hairs, there’s one, two, three…”

She slapped his hand away hard and glared coldly at him.

“I hate you Julian!” she yelled.

“Glad to know that, then you won’t be expecting little Julian to make an appearance any time soon Becky, now go find something or someone to do, I’m quite busy today.”

“You’re not leaving already are you?” she said, pouting.

“Look, you may be blackmailing me, but I still do have a life, I’m just going to change my shirt, but the jeans are staying on, just to annoy the hell out of you.”

“Fine, have it your way, but help me on with my coat.”

“Why, you’re a big girl, you know how to put it on.” He said, smiling.

“You don’t have any manners anymore either, be a jerk, I’m going out for a while and don’t expect me back anytime soon, I’m too mad at you right now.”

“Great, then I’ll have some peace and quiet.”

When Rebecca was gone, Julian sighed and went upstairs to change, he laughed at the shirt, it was kind of funny on him, but it was a different look that was for sure. He put on a casual blue shirt and sat on the edge of the king sized bed, which he wished he could share with someone else rather than Rebecca, namingly Eve. He smiled at the thought of the passion they finally shared up in the loft. It may not have been the most romantic place for them, but making love to Eve, even if it was in a barn, was the most wonderful and memorable moment of his life. And now that he had had the chance to be with her, he couldn’t wait to see her again. He smiled devilishly at the idea of being together again. He wanted Eve in his bed; there was no doubt in his mind he would make it even more special this time for her. But they did have things to discuss since she had left with T.C. He loved her so much and he could be impatient at times, but Eve was definitely worth the wait. She had agreed to see him after work, and he was very happy. How he wished he could convince her just to leave T.C. for good, but Eve just wasn’t that spontaneous and he understood and respected that. She could be very cautious and family was important to her and as much as he wanted to take her away from Harmony, from everything, he just couldn’t do it. He laid back on the bed for a moment, closing his eyes for what he thought was a mere few minutes, only to wake up a few hours later to see Eve sitting there in the chair.

“Eve.”

“Hi Julian.”

“What are you doing here?” he said, rubbing his eyes.

“I wanted to come by and talk.”

“Why didn’t you wake me dear?”

“You looked so peaceful, besides, I’ve only been here about ten minutes.”

“Where’s Rebecca?”

“I have no idea, but I got off early and we do need to talk Julian.”

“I know darling, I know.” He said, getting up to sit on the bed in front of her, taking her hands.

“So, we made love and…”

“Made love, it was beautiful, it was everything I ever imagined it would be again. Decades can’t make a difference when you love someone, the memories and passion you share are familiar all over again my love.” He said.

“But we’re not here to talk about that Julian.”

“Of course we are Eve.”

“I’m here to tell you I’m happily married.”

“Oh Eve, don’t deny that you didn’t love how I satisfied you.” He said, leaning over to kiss her neck.

“Julian, you know this can’t go on.”

“Eve, you know it can and you know you want to be with me again, what did I say about following your heart?”

“My heart is with you, but my head is saying do the right thing and keep your life with as Mrs. T.C. Russell.”

“Oh darling, did I ever tell you how stubborn you are?”

“Julian!”

“Well you are, focus on our love, focus on what we have, never mind that you should do the right thing and stay with T.C. As I said before, he can’t love you like I can and I want to make love to you again right now.” He said, taking her hand.

“No!”

“Yes Eve, can you honestly tell me you don’t want me to make love to you again?”

She sighed and got up from the bed and sat back in the chair.

“Eve, darling, look into my eyes and tell me what you really want.”

“I have to go.”

“No you don’t.” He said, wrapping his arms around her and holding her close.

“Julian, let me go please.”

“Nope.” He said smiling.

“Rebecca will be back shortly I’m sure, we can’t talk here anyway.”

“I don’t care if she comes back, I don’t want you to run away from me, please Eve.”

“If you don’t get the hell out of my house, I’m calling security!” Rebecca yelled, standing in the doorway.

“Rebecca!”

“That’s right Eve, you bitch, hands off my Pookie right now!” she yelled.

“No I want her to put her hands on me, it’s you I need repellent from, so hands off to you Becks!” Julian said dryly.

“Don’t get smart with me, I want this bitch out of my house.”

“It’s my house, not yours, you only married the Crane name, so take a long walk off a short pier.” Julian said firmly.

“Julian, I’m your wife!”

“Don’t remind me, I love Eve, not you and you know it!”

“Look, I’m calling T.C. right now, unless you get this floozy out of my mansion!” she yelled.

“I’m going, Julian, I’ll talk to you later.” She said, walking past him.

“No Eve, stop!”

“Why?”

“Rebecca, I will never love you, never, do you hear me? I love Eve, I always will and she’s my true love, my soul mate, no one else in this world makes me feel the way she does. No one else sets off fireworks in my heart, our chemistry, our love is explosive.”

“It’s lust Julian.”

“You’re damn right it is, I lust Eve as well, I want to be with her and she turns me on immensely, do you get it yet?”

“Julian, please don’t say these things.” Eve said.

“Why not, it’s true Eve, if I could marry you this minute, I would in a heartbeat, I don’t love Rebecca, you know she’s only my wife because of what she’s doing to me, to us.”

“But you did marry her and she is your wife, facts are facts.” Eve said.

“Gee, I guess you are good for something.” Rebecca said, looking at Eve.

“I want you out Rebecca.”

“Out where?”

“I don’t give a rat’s ass, just take a hike, Eve and I aren’t finished talking yet.”

“Yes we are Julian.”

“Wait!” he said, practically tripping over his feet to catch her as she went downstairs.

“What is it?”

“Eve, my love, you know how much I love you.”

“I know that.”

He took her in his arms and kissed her so very passionately as Rebecca stood there in utter shock.

“Julian, no.”

“Eve, tell me, how does that make you feel?”

“Why?”

She resisted for a moment, but as Julian kissed her over and over, Rebecca could only stand by and watch in disgust as her Pookie practically had a make out session with another woman. When they finally came up for air, Eve stared at him.

“That was nauseating.” Rebecca said, trying to ruin the mood.

“Shut up, Eve, tell me how does that feel when I kiss you? Does T.C. kiss you like that?”

“I can’t answer that.”

“You better not Eve.”

“Again, shut that trap Rebecca, tell me honey, tell me honestly.” Julian said.

“I can’t compare how kissing you is like kissing T.C.”

“Go home to your husband you home wrecker!” Rebecca yelled.

“Look if I have to tell you again to shut up, I’m putting you out for the night and this time you’re to say in your dog house.”

“Julian, would you stop treating me like this.” She said.

“You know I don’t love you, so get over the fact, go find another bed mate, I love one woman and only one, my lovely Eve.” He said, touching her cheek.

“I don’t want to stay here and vomit at this sick and sappy moment anyway, if you’re going to kiss her, I’m leaving.” She said, walking out the door again.

“Good, we’re finally alone.” He said, nibbling her ear.

“Julian, I don’t appreciate this act you put on.”

“Act, no, I love you with all of my heart and I want her to know it.”

“By rubbing it in, that was kind of mean.”

“Since when are you a Becky fan?” he asked.

“I’m not, but this should be a private moment between us, kissing me in front of her, that’s not right.”

“I want to prove how much I love you, prove it to her, prove it to the world Eve.”

“Oh and if T.C. were to see, he would prove how easily he could kill you.”

Julian didn’t say another word, bringing Eve to sit down on the couch with him. He put his arms around her and kissed her ever so gently on the neck, even if he knew she wasn’t too thrilled with him at the moment. He could feel how tense she was and he was going to do whatever he could to release her frustrations. He sat her back against him and as he held her hands, he continued to kiss her, each one becoming a bit more passionate.

“Julian!” she said, moving him away from her neck.

“Yes?”

“You don’t listen to me at all and you said I was stubborn.” She said annoyed.

“You are.” He said, kissing her again.

“And so are you.” Eve said, resisting him.

“What’s wrong with a little stubbornness between lovers?” he said smiling.

“We’re not lovers.” She said firmly.

“What would you call what we did in the loft then, two friends playing a board game? Because if that’s what it was, well then I want to play every night.” He said hugging her.

“Julian, why won’t you listen to me?” Eve asked.

“Because you know you want to be with me and if you’d just admit that, we could live happily ever after.”

“Life isn’t a fairytale and you know that my dear Mr. Crane.”

“I can dream though can’t I?”

“I’m going home now, I came here to talk about us and I’m getting nowhere.”

“I want there to be an us Eve, but you seem to want it to be T.C. and Eve, not Julian and Eve and I still say he will never give you what you need like I can. He gave you a marriage, children, love, but he can’t give you the love I can give unconditionally. T.C. loves another person, the Eve he thinks he knows, I love you, the real Eve and he will never understand that love even if you admit the truth to him. He would just go ballistic anyway, so why don’t we just cut to the chase and be together?”

Eve just sighed heavily and looked at Julian, studying his eyes quite carefully.

“You know how much I love you, and you know we belong together. No matter what it costs us, if you want to be truly happy, I’ll divorce Rebecca somehow and you can leave T.C.”

“It can’t happen overnight.”

“No, but in the meantime, we can be together, Eve, I want to be one again with you, won’t you let me darling?”
