Ethan was just finishing his walk when he saw Gwen run out of the mansion. She didn’t even see him and ran right into him.

“ Gwen, what’s wrong!”

” Ethan! Get me out of here!”

” Gwen?”

Ethan looked up and saw Robbie, and called out to him. He watched as Robbie ignored him, ran to the garage, and the next thing he knew, Robbie was speeding off the grounds.

“ Ethan, please.”

Ethan was confused, but took Gwen to the limo. They got in and the driver left the Hotchkiss grounds. Ethan looked at Gwen. She was quietly sobbing. When he went to pull her close, she stopped him, so he backed away. He just watched her, obviously in pain. When the car pulled up to the Crane Mansion, Ethan got out first, and put his hand to help Gwen.

 She shook her head. “ I have somewhere else to go.”

“ Gwen..”

” Ethan, please. I’ll explain everything when I get back.”

Ethan looked into her eyes. They were so desperate. He sighed. “ Alright.”

Gwen drove away in the limo.

Eve was in her office and picked up the phone.

” Hello?”

” Julian, it’s me.”

” Eve, what’s wrong?”

” TC knows, Julian.”

” HE KNOWS?! How? Why?”

” How – because I told him. Why? Because last night was a series of revelations for the entire Russell family.”

” Eve, I don’t understand.”

” Julian, a lot has happened. Could you meet me on the roof of the Hospital? I don’t want to really leave Whitney right now.”

” Of course. I can be there in a half hour. Does that work for you?”

“ Yes. See you then.”

TC sat out in the courtyard of the hospital and dialed on his cellphone.

” Hotchkiss residence.”

“ May I speak with Mrs. Hotchkiss?”

” She’s not taking any phone calls. Is there a message?”

” No thank you.”

TC called up Sam. “ Sam, it’s me.”

“ TC, what’s up?”

” You have time for me?”

” I do. “

” I’m at the hospital. In the courtyard. “

” TC, something’s wrong with Whitney? Did something change in her condition?”

” I’ll tell you when you get here.”

” Ok, Buddy, I’ll be there in a few minutes.”

Whitney, Simone and Chad were playing cards when Theresa came in with some flowers.

” Hey, Whitney. My mom got these from her garden for you.”

” Thanks, Theresa. They’re beautiful.”

” So…how are you today?”

” Fine.”, Whitney mumbled.

Theresa looked around the room. She could sense something was in the air.

” Ok. What’s wrong? Whitney, are you lying to me? Something’s wrong with you. You’ve gotten worse!”, Theresa cried, bursting into sobs. Simone went over to Theresa and shook her.

” Theresa! There’s been no change in Whitney’s case.”

” Don’t crap me, Simone! I’ve known Whitney my entire life. I’ve known Chad for awhile. There is a vibe in this room that isn’t normal. So, don’t tell me that I’m crazy.”

” Theresa..”

” Don’t patronize me.”

” Theresa, I’m not patronizing you. You’re right. Something has changed. We received some news.”

” News not about your health?”

” No. Not about my health directly. But, it involves my cancer. I found out about the existence of other possible donors. “

“ Other donors?”

” Yeah.” Whitney looked to Simone and Chad who both shrugged their soldiers. Whitney took a deep breath. “ Theresa, there is a chance that my donor is closer than I thought.”

” How so?”

“ Because, I have two siblings I didn’t know about.”

” Whitney, how can you have two siblings you didn’t know about?”

” Because, I just found out that I’m adopted. “

“ Adopted? Really?”

“ And, my birth mother has two kids. “

” She’s going to get them tested?”

” If they agree.”

” Well, of course they’ll agree. They’re not gonna let you die.”

” I hope not.”

” Wait….does your birth mother live in Harmony?”

” Yes.”

“ What about your birth father? Maybe he has kids too! Kids that could be tested.”

” Theresa..”

“ Well, it’s true!”

” Theresa, my father IS my father.”

Theresa looked around from Whitney, to Simone, to Chad.

” Whitney, then that would mean….”

” My father had an affair on my mother. Yes, that’s what happened, and I’m the result.”

” Whoah. Wow. I can’t believe it.”

” Tell me about it.”

” No wonder it was so weird when I came in. That must have been stunning to find out.”

” Yep.”

” And, your birth mother? She lives in Harmony?”

“ Yes.”

” All this time, and she’s never approached you. Never talked to you? Who is it?”

Whitney rolled her eyes and looked towards the floor.

” Rebecca Hotchkiss.”

The thud in the room was Theresa falling to the floor, passed out.
