Forgiven, Chapter 5

Eve finished tucking Jordan in and made her way to her bedroom to find Julian sitting up in bed waiting for her.

“Did she fall asleep?” he crawled to the foot of the bed.

“Yes, she did,” Eve walked to the foot of the bed where Julian was now kneeling.

He wrapped his arms around her and rested his head against her chest.

“God, she’s so amazing; I wish I could’ve been there for her from the beginning,” Eve looked down as her hands rested on his shoulders.

“Darling, you’re here now, that’s all that matters,” he pulled his head back from her body.

Julian smiled up at Eve as his hands went for the tie on Eve’s robe. He slowly undid the knot and opened up her robe.

“Eve, you’re beautiful, you know that?” he kissed her bellybutton, “I need you…so much,” his lips found her breast, “I can’t live without you,” Julian’s hands slid inside her robe and rested on derrière.

Julian pulled her down onto the bed and laid on top of her.

“Marry me, Eve, marry me,” he licked her bottom lip.

“What did you say?”

He spread her legs and entered her.

“I just asked you to marry me, darling…”

“I don’t know what to say…I-I, yes, YES!” she screamed as she pulled him against her body.

“I love you, Eve.”

“I love you, Julian…I’ve loved you for so long…”
---
A week passed and Julian was finishing up in Los Angeles so he, Eve, and Jordan could move back to Harmony. Eve was carrying Jordan in her arms when she got off the elevator at Crane Industries. It was lunch time and there was no secretary at the desk, so Eve decided to walk into Julian’s office.

Eve opened the door…

“Ohh, Mr. Crane…” Cheryl giggled as she sat in Julian’s lap.

“What the hell?” Eve shouted from the doorway.

Julian jumped up and pushed Cheryl out of his lap.

“Eve, it’s not what you think…”

But she just turned and ran in the opposite direction. Eve pushed the button on the elevator and waited for it to open.

“You little b*tch, I told you to quit and I even warned you if you’d try anything with me again, I’d fire you,” Julian glared at his secretary, “You get your things and get the hell off this property,” he pushed her out of his office and closed the door.

Julian then walked to the corner only to see Eve get into the elevator.

“Eve, wait!” but she didn’t listen.

A security guard walked by and Julian stopped him.

“Jack, please escort Miss Stevens off the premises,” he glanced back at her, “She doesn’t work here anymore,” he raised an eyebrow to Jack.

“Right away, Mr. Crane,” Jack nodded and waited for Cheryl to clear her desk.

Julian then jumped into the other elevator, so he could catch up to Eve.

Eve stepped off the elevator and rushed out of the building as Jordan began crying in her arms.

“I want Daddy…I want to go with my daddy!” she wailed, “I hate you mommy, I hate you!” she began hitting Eve with her tiny fists.

Eve understood her daughter’s desire to be with her father. Jordan had known Julian her whole life, and had just begun to get used to Eve. But what Eve had just seen in Julian’s office just broke her heart. Her mind then went back to years before. Now that she thought of it, she remembered Tc’s face when he had heard Julian and her admit what they had done over the PA system at the restaurant. She deserved it; she deserved the feeling she was feeling now for what she did to Tc, or so she thought. Eve buckled Jordan into her booster seat, and locked the door and then got into the driver’s seat, just as Julian came running out.

“Eve! Wait!” he screamed but she put the car into reverse.

It was a good thing Julian was the C.E.O. of CI and had a parking spot closest to the door, for he hopped into his car and was going to chase down Eve.

She then pulled out and then got onto the main road; Julian was just behind, but as he was about to get onto the main road, he failed to look to the right and another car hit him, but on the passenger’s side. Eve heard a crash and looked through the rearview mirror, only to see Julian’s car on fire and smoke coming from the hood.

“Oh my God,” she stomped on the brakes which made a squealing sound, “Julian!” she screamed as she got out of the car and opened Jordan’s door.

She began running to the scene but was stopped when the car exploded.

“JULIAN! NOOOOO!” Eve screamed hysterically.

This day was all too familiar for her.
---

Mrs. Matthews was watching over Jordan at the mansion, as Eve was at the hospital sitting by Julian’s bed side. It had been two days and he hadn’t regained consciousness yet. She had fallen asleep and rested her head against his arm on the bed.

“Eve? Eve, honey?” Tc called out to her.

“Tc? Is that you?” she looked at him in disbelief, “But it can’t be,” she shook her head.

“Yes, it’s me,” he smiled, “Well, aren’t you going to give me a hug?”

“Y-yes,” she nodded and walked to him slowly and then threw her arms around him, “Tc,” Eve cried, “I’m so sorry…I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to do what I had done…”

“Shhh, it’s okay, Eve,” he caressed her back, “I forgave you a long time ago; that’s why I’m here,” he pulled back from her and looked to her eyes, “I understand that you are still asking for forgiveness for what you did in the past, but honey, I’ve forgiven you and so has God,” Tc nodded, “I’ve seen your little girl; she’s as gorgeous as you are. Eve, just one last thing…before I go,” his hands let go of hers.

“Tc, no, don’t go!” she reached out for him.

“Just be happy with Julian, okay…don’t let anyone come between the two of you and your family,” Tc said as his spirit began to fade in front of Eve, “Just remember…I’ll always love you, Eve…bye, baby…”

Julian stirred. He looked to Eve and blinked his eyes as he took in his surroundings. Where was he?

“Eve,” he said with a raspy voice.

Coughing and swallowing, Julian tried to talk once more.

She finally woke up and realized the Julian had come out of his minor coma.

“Ohh, Julian,” she hugged him, “You’re awake!” tears strolled down her face; she had just had the strangest, yet the most wonderful dream.

All of a sudden, it came back to him. He had been in an accident because Eve thought she saw him in a tight situation and then ran out on him with their child. She didn’t even give him the chance to explain things.

Eve pulled back and looked to Julian, but he just turned his head in the opposite direction of her.

“Julian, what’s the matter?”

He didn’t answer her.

“Julian…”

Julian still ignored her.

“Please, Julian…answer me!” she tried to turn his face towards her.

“Where’s Jordan?” he finally said.

“She’s at home with the nanny, but Jul…”

“Well, you can just go home and be with her; I’ll be fine by myself.” He turned away from her again.

“What are you talking about? I want to be with you. I was so worried, Julian!” she cried.

“You wouldn’t have to have been worried if you would’ve just let me explain what happened. Why did you run, Eve? Don’t you trust me?”

“I do, Julian, I do! It’s just that when I saw her in your lap…I-I…”

“You thought I was doing something with her?” he frowned, “Listen, Eve…ever since you had left and I got Jordan; I have never been with anyone else. There was never anyone else, but you. Now why in the world would I go and screw that up, now that I have you back, hmm? Tell me?”

“I don’t know, Julian,” she looked down ashamed, “I just got jealous. I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” she began crying again.

“I know, Eve. Just…” he paused, “…go check on Jordan and tell her that I’m fine and I’ll see her soon,” he closed his eyes, hinting to Eve that he wanted to be left alone.

“Okay, Julian,” she stood and looked at him one last time before she left.

Julian heard the door shut and opened his eyes. He hated seeing Eve distraught, but he couldn’t look at her now. She had been the cause of his accident, and he couldn’t bear it if Jordan would’ve had to go through life without her father. And he didn’t want to leave his precious little girl.
