The Imposter; Chapter 2 (Evian)
by ejcrane

(In the first chapter, I absolutely forgot to mention that I got the idea for this story from a Spanish/French soap opera, "La Usurpadora".
A lot of you mentioned that you liked it and that it was creative, but I just couldn't take the credit;
I can only take credit for the actions I've written for Eve and Julian in this story, for none of their actions are the same actions of the characters in that one soap opera.
Also, I credit Evian Dreams for the clip in the banner: Thank you!)

---

Another week passed by after Eve’s near drowning. Julian had questioned Eve on what happened that awful day. Even though Eve didn’t know how to swim, she fibbed and said that she had gotten a cramp in her calf. Julian apologized over and over and promised he would never put her life in danger like that again. Eve found it sweet how he had cared for her, but he was her husband, of course he was supposed to care.

Eve had been in bed reading, waiting for her husband to come home from the office. It had been every night that week that Julian was working late, and Eve missed him. She missed his arms around her, the little kisses they shared just before bedtime; but she had had to go to bed without them lately. As Eve was reading, her mind went back to dinner when Pilar made a snide remark about Julian’s whereabouts.

“Hmm, it seems Señor Crane is staying late at the office again,” Pilar said out of the blue.

“Yes, I suppose so,” Eve said, wondering where this conversation was going or why it even started.

“I wonder what he’s doing or who he’s doing that has him so busy,” Pilar mumbled under her breath.

“Excuse me, what was that?!” Eve said angrily.

“What? I didn’t say anything.”

“I heard you, Pilar. I heard you loud and clear; you said…” she didn’t finish since the phone started ringing and Pilar had gone to answer it.

“Señora, it’s for you, it’s el Señor.”

Eve then walked to the foyer and picked up the phone.

“Hello?”

“Eve, darling, I’m going to be a bit late tonight as well…”

“But Julian, it’s been like this every night this week.”

“I know, and I’m sorry. I promise I’ll make it up to you.”

“Alright, honey, I just…”

“Julian, sweetie where did you put that one report at?” Eve heard a woman’s voice on Julian’s line.

“Who’s that, Julian?” Eve said, not realizing that her voice sounded a bit hostile.

“Who’s who, dear?”

“You know what I’m talking about.”

“Ohh, that; it’s just Rebecca, we’re working on an account.”

“I’m sure you are,” Eve said right before she hung up.

Eve walked back into the kitchen and told Pilar that she was going to turn in for the night.

“Idiot,” Eve whispered as she looked up from her book when she heard thunder outside.

She then looked to the door when she heard the knob turning. The door opened and it was Julian. He looked to her and smiled. Eve didn’t smile back. Julian then walked over to her and bent down to kiss the top of her head, but she moved. Eve then put her book down on the nightstand and placed her head on the pillow.

“Is something wrong?” He asked as he walked around to his side of the bed, while undoing his tie.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she said sulkily.

“Oh really? Would you happen to know why you hung up on me earlier?”

“I don’t know; the line went dead.”

“Is that so?” he crawled into bed and tried to kiss her once again.

“Julian, quit!” she swatted his hands off her shoulders, “Why don’t you go and try that with Rebecca?”

“Ohh, so that’s what’s gotten you all riled up,” he laughed, “Come on, Eve, you know men have needs,” he joked as he placed his watch on the nightstand, but it fell to the floor.

It was that last sentence that infuriated Eve. Julian had rolled over and was reaching on the floor for his watch, when Eve turned around and pushed him on his back causing him to roll off the bed.

“Oops,” she smiled.

“Damnit, Eve! Why did you do that; I hit my damn head!” he got back on the bed and turned on his side, his back towards her.

Eve laughed to herself, but she felt bad for what she had caused Julian to do.

“I’m sorry,” she whispered in his ear as she pressed her body up against his back, “I’m sorry,” she kissed the bump on his head and wrapped her arms around him.

Julian didn’t seem to respond to her affection.

“Please don’t be mad at me,” she placed kisses on his back.

“I’m not mad at you, I’m just disappointed,” he said sadly.

“Disappointed?” she said defensively, thinking that Julian was disappointed that she turned him down every time they got intimate.

“Yes, I just can’t see how you would think that I would be unfaithful to you when you’re going through something so serious.”

“I’m sorry, Julian, I guess I just missed you this whole week,” she caressed his chest as her cheek rested against his back, “And then you’ve been spending a lot of time with Rebecca…”

“Eve, I would never betray our vows; I would wait forever for you if I had to,” he grabbed her hand and brought it to his lips.

“Ohh, Julian,” she hugged him tighter.

“Eve,” he whispered as he placed her hand back on his chest.

Julian then did something Eve did not expect. He still had his hand over hers and began sliding her hand down his body.

“It’s been so long, Eve,” Julian placed her hand on his manhood, “Touch me, Eve…please.” He moaned.

Eve felt him closing her hand around him; she felt his heart race with anticipation. Eve couldn’t do it, so she withdrew her hand.

“No, Julian…I can’t,” she turned on her side.

Julian then got up and pulled his pants back on.

“Where are you going?” she asked as she looked back at him.

“Why should you care?!” he snarled, “All I ask is that you touch me; I didn’t even ask for us to make love and you couldn’t even do it! I’m going to go sleep downstairs in the library,” he put on his robe and left the room.

“I’m sorry, Julian,” she whispered as she cried, “But you’re not mine to touch; to have,” she sobbed.
---

Julian was downstairs in the library fixing himself a drink when he heard Cookie scratching the door from outside, so he walked over to it and opened it to let the dog in.

“Jesus, Cookie how did you get out there,” he said aloud to the soaking wet dog, “Come on in,” he patted his leg, but Cookie didn’t listen and ran away from him, “Sh*t! Damn, dog!” Julian said as he went out in the pouring rain in search of the dog.

Julian would’ve let the dog be out in the rain if it was anyone else’s dog, but this was now Eve’s dog. He couldn’t bear it if anything happened to the dog, because it would break his wife’s heart.

“Cookie!” he hollered, “Come here, girl…stupid dog,” Julian walked a bit out and then spotted the dog eating out of the trash, “There you are!” he bent down to pick up the dog when he yelled in pain and fell to the ground.
---

The next morning, Pilar ran into Eve and Julian’s room screaming.

“Señora! Señora!” she shook Eve.

“Pilar, what is it?” Eve sat up.

“It’s el Señor! Pedro found him outside on the ground!”

“What?!” Eve shot up and grabbed her robe before running out of the room.

When she got downstairs, Pedro and Martin, who was Pilar’s husband, were carrying Julian in from outside.

“Oh my God, what happened?!” Eve cried as she saw an unconscious Julian.

“It looks as if he got mugged out there, Mrs. Crane,” Martin said, “We found his wallet empty next to his body.”

“Oh no!” Eve exclaimed, “Take him up to the room,” she ordered the two men.

On the way up the stairs, Martin kept looking at Eve, and once she caught him winking at her. She found it strange, but she wasn’t going to worry about that now; Julian needed her.

“Lay him on the bed.”

And they did so.

“Pilar, heat up some soup and bring up some blankets, Julian is burning up,” Eve felt his forehead.

Pilar nodded and turned and left with the men.

“Ohh, Julian, why were you outside so late?” she cried, “I shouldn’t have pushed you off the bed; then none of this would’ve happened,” Eve blamed herself.

She then began unbuttoning Julian’s wet pants and slipped them off his legs. Eve removed his robe and threw the soaking clothes to the side as she covered Julian up.

“Julian, honey…can you hear me,” she patted his cheek, “Honey, wake up,” she kissed his lips.

Julian began moving his eyes very slowly.

“Eve?” he asked, his eyes halfway open, “God, Eve, what happened?”

“I don’t know? Martin and Pedro found you unconscious outside and brought you in,” she cried as she dried his hair with a towel, “Julian, do you remember anything?”

“I…I remember being upset about us, and so I went downstairs and that’s when I heard Cookie outside, so I opened the door to let her in, because I knew you would want her inside, but she ran off into the pouring rain, so I followed,” he exhaled, “Finally when I caught up to her, I felt someone had hit me on the back of my head…and everything’s a blank from then on…”

“Julian, you shouldn’t have gone after her,” she hugged him.

There was a knock at the door.

“Come in,” Eve said.

“I brought the soup,” she handed the tray to Eve, “And I’ll be right back with the blankets,” she turned and left once again.

“Julian, can you sit up? You really need to eat this, so you can warm up.”

Julian did as Eve instructed and she began feeding him the soup. Julian finished the soup when Todd and J.J. came storming into the room.

“Mom, what’s the matter with dad?” they asked.

“He just got caught up in the rain, boys,” she told them, so she wouldn’t worry them.

“Is he sick?”

“He just needs to rest,” Eve said as she pulled out her stethoscope from her bag and checked Julian’s breathing to make sure his chest wasn’t congested.

“Mommy, where did you get that from?” J.J. asked.

Eve, so used to being in this situation, did not realize that she was doing something out of the ordinary for Evelyn.

“I-uh…”

Pilar entered and placed the blankets on the bed when she saw Eve wearing the stethoscope. She gave her a strange look and then shook it off when she saw the boys.

“Hijos, come on, your dad needs his rest,” Pilar ordered them.

They looked to Pilar who was waiting for them, and then they looked to Eve for approval.

“Go on, boys. Daddy will be fine,” she nodded as she took off her stethoscope and placed it on the dresser.

They listened and left the room with Pilar.

“Eve,” Julian whispered, “It’s so cold in here,” he said as his teeth chattered.

Eve then unfolded another blanket and placed it on Julian. She walked into the bathroom and came back out with aspirin and gave it to Julian.

“It’s going to be okay, sweetheart,” she walked to the door and locked it.

Eve walked back over to her side of the bed and took off her robe and threw it on the bed. She then lifted her gown up and over her head and then she shed her underwear and pulled back the covers and got into bed with Julian. Eve wrapped her arms around Julian and pulled him close to her body.

“How does that feel, honey?” she whispered into his ear.

“Good,” he moaned as he drifted in and out of consciousness.

Eve tried to warm him up by making friction, so she rubbed her hands up and down his chest. At one point, her hand had gone too far, and she grazed Julian’s member.

“Julian?” Eve whispered, and when she didn’t receive a response, she made her move.

Eve’s hand glided down to Julian’s manhood and wrapped around it.

“Ju-l-ian,” she moaned as she kissed his back, “I’m so sorry this happened to you; it’s all my fault…”
---

A few days later, Julian was getting over his cold that he had. The police had also caught the man that robbed Julian…

Julian was now sitting up in bed and reading the paper when Eve came in.

“Well, it looks like someone is doing better,” she brought him his breakfast.

“Yeah,” he coughed and sniffed, “But I’d feel better if someone would stop waiting on me hand and foot.”

“Listen,” she sat by him and lifted her hand to his forehead, “If I would have been the one that was sick, I know you would’ve done the same thing,” she pressed a kiss to his forehead.

“Yes, I would’ve,” he kissed her hand.

Eve leaned forward and was about to kiss Julian on the lips when the phone rang downstairs.

“I better get it,” she pulled back, “I gave Pilar the day off today,” she smiled and ran out of the room.

Ten minutes later Eve came back up and informed Julian that she was going to take J.J. his lunch because he had forgotten it before he left for school that morning. Eve got her purse and left.
---

Eve arrived at the school and dropped off his little Spiderman lunchbox at the front office. The secretary assured Eve that her son would get his lunch, and so Eve was on her way back to the mansion. She exited the main office and took a different route than the one she had when she got there, but got lost. Eve then turned the corner and began walking down a hallway when she heard a voice that sounded like Theresa’s. Eve now stood in the doorway of Theresa’s art classroom, where her teacher was talking down to her.

“Your painting is unsatisfactory, you’ll never amount to anything; your mother’s a maid and your father might as well not exist; everyone knows he’s out gallivanting with a different woman each night, even the woman of the house your mother works for…”

“What is the problem in here?” Eve asked.

Theresa’s teacher turned around to face Eve.

“Excuse me, who are you?”

“The question is: Who are you?” Eve stepped inside the classroom, “Hmm? Who are you to be talking to these students that way?”

“Who I am or what I do is none of your concern, is that clear?”

“Theresa get your things, we’re going,” Eve glared at Ms. Bauer.

Theresa walked back to her desk and collected her bag and art supplies.

“Excuse me, you cannot take this child out of school unless you are her parent…”

Eve totally ignored the teacher and escorted Theresa to the doorway, but then she turned back to Ms. Bauer.

“You know, I guess that saying is true,” she paused until she had the teacher’s full attention, “Those who can’t do…teach,” she sneered and then left with Theresa.

“Ooh, the teach got told,” some kids laughed.
---

“Mrs. Crane?”

“Yes, honey?” Eve looked down to Theresa.

“Why did you do that?”

“Do what, sweetie?” Eve opened the car door for her.

“Why did you tell my teacher those things and why did you decide to bring me home?”

“Because, she had no right to tell you those things; no one should ever talk to a child that way…never.”

“Thank you,” Theresa looked out the window as tears strolled down her face.

“You’re welcome, sweetie,” Eve pulled over, “Honey, don’t cry,” Eve put her arms around her, “It’s going to be okay; I’ll tell your mother about this and we’ll get you into a new fine arts class…”

“That’s not it,” Theresa wiped her tears and sniffed, “It’s just that I hate that Papa has been with your sister; that’s why Mama doesn’t like Mrs. Crane or you, because she thinks you’re her.”

Did Eve just hear her right? How did Theresa know that she wasn’t Evelyn? And what did she mean by her father being with Evelyn?

“Sweetie, I think all this commotion has gotten you confused,” she smiled and started driving again.

“Look, I’m not going to say anything, but I know you’re not Mr. Crane’s real wife; I know you’re not Evelyn Crane.”

Eve began shaking her head in amazement. No one else put it together that she wasn’t Evelyn, not even her husband or kids, but Theresa did?

“How? How did you know; how did you find out? No one else knows.”

“You were too nice; the real Evelyn would have never done what you did for me, nor would she have been caught dead at school.”

“I see…so, should I be scared that this secret between us won’t remain one anymore?”

“No, your secret is safe with me,” she said as Eve pulled into the Crane Estate.

“Thank you,” Eve said as she parked and opened the door and got out.

Eve walked over to the cottage with Theresa and told Pilar everything that happened and why she removed Theresa from her class. Pilar didn’t know what to think. Never had Evelyn done something so noble or so selfless before.

Eve was about to leave when Pilar stopped her.

“Señora…”

“Pilar, how many times do I have to tell you? Don’t call me sin-yora? Please…call me Eve,” she said and smiled.

“Okay…Eve,” Pilar smiled back, “Thank you,” she shook her hand.
---

Eve got back to the mansion and found Julian downstairs in the library working on some files.

“Julian!” she scolded him, “You’re supposed to be upstairs in bed, getting better!”

“I do feel better, darling and that’s why I’m down here doing a little work.”

“Fine, whatever, but don’t come crying to me when you start feeling under the weather again,” she rolled her eyes and began walking out.

“Yes, dear. Oh Eve, don’t forget to get your dress for the party we’re throwing tomorrow night,” he mentioned before she left.

“Party?”

“Yes, you know that party we throw every year?”

“Oh yes, yes; I just forgot,” she laughed and left.
---

It was the night of the party and everybody had arrived, including Rebecca.

Eve was walking around, getting to know Julian’s friends when she spotted Julian and Rebecca chatting in a corner by themselves. She didn’t really think anything of it, until she saw Rebecca wipe icing off of Julian’s lips and then she licked the finger which she used. Eve was furious! Why? She didn’t know. Yes, she did know. It was on her sister’s behalf. So she marched up to them…

“What the hell is going on here!” she yelled.

“Eve, what is the matter with you? Lower your voice,” Julian smiled to the guests.

“Oh, so you expect me to keep quiet while I and everyone here watch you with your b*tch!” she glared at him.

“Eve, now you just hold on there,” he grabbed her arm, but she yanked it away.

“Don’t touch me!” she walked away from him and grabbed a glass of champagne off the waiter’s tray.

Eve gulped down the champagne in a matter of seconds and then grabbed two more from the bar and drank them. She was starting to relax. She felt looser; without a care in the world.

Some slow music started playing and Eve felt like dancing, but not with Julian, of course. He was just too busy with his floozy. Maybe that’s why her sister had looked to Martin Fitzgerald. Maybe Julian didn’t mean one word he said when he told her that he’d wait for her forever if he had to.

Eve then found David. She saw the way he was looking at her; he wasn’t bad looking when one thought about it. So, Eve walked up to him and asked him to dance with her. If Julian could show off his mistress to everyone, Eve was going to do the same thing. Eve began dancing with David. At first it was friendly, but then Eve’s inhibitions got the best of her. Eve then brought her body close to David’s and began rubbing up against him while she danced. Of course, David didn’t mind; he had been having an affair with Evelyn since after she and Julian got married. His hands ran down her back as he swayed back and forth with her, keeping her close to his body. Eve then suddenly turned around and was now rubbing her backside against David’s front; his manhood to be exact. His hands then went to her waist as he guided her moves.

Julian was smiling and having a good conversation with Rebecca and some of his associates, when he took a glance of the party. He then did a double take when he saw how Eve was getting it on with his best friend! She was smiling away with her eyes closed, having a good time. Julian was beyond furious! He walked up to her and pulled her from David.

“Eve, what the hell are you doing here?!” he shouted.

“Get your hands off of me; I was just having a good time dancing,” she turned from him, “Now if you don’t mind…” she began walking away from him.

“Ohh, I DO mind!” he grabbed her arm again, “And you’re coming with me!” Julian dragged her off the dance floor.

Eve screamed the whole time, making a spectacle. Julian then opened the door to their bedroom and shoved Eve inside.

“What the hell were you doing out there, hmm?” he got up in her face, but she just laughed, “Eve, you’re drunk…go to bed,” he said and turned towards the door.
---

The next morning, Eve woke up with the biggest headache, but that’s not what got her scared. Not only did she have a hangover, but she was completely naked…and in Julian’s arms.

“Oh my God, what happened here?!” she sat up and screamed.

“Darling, don’t you remember,” he sat up behind her and smiled as he kissed her bare shoulder, “You should remember…you wild thing you,” he was now kissing her neck.

“What?!” she pulled from him and stood, covering herself with the sheets from their bed, “I did no such thing!”

“Eve, darling, come back here,” he patted the bed.

“You! You took advantage of me! I was drunk, and you…you; I can’t believe you would do that!”

“What?!” he jumped off the bed, not bothering to cover up, “Listen Eve, I don’t know what kind of game you are playing, but you wanted this…yes, YOU!” he grabbed her shoulders.

“Get your hands off of me,” she shoved him from her and ran into the bathroom and turned on the shower.
---

Eve let the sheets fall to the floor and stepped into the shower as she cried. She then backed up against the tile of the wall and slid to the floor, holding her knees to her chest. Her mind went back to the night before.

Julian had just dragged her away from the party, and told her to go to sleep and was about to leave her in their room when she did the unthinkable.

“Julian” Eve said in a sing-song voice, “Why are you leaving the party so soon?” she tossed her strapless bra over to his back.

Julian bent down to pick it up and then turned around to find Eve standing on their bed, naked from the waist up. Julian shook his head. Eve was really drunk. He walked back over to her.

“Come on, Eve, I’ll get you in your nightgown,” he held his hand up to her.

But Eve didn’t take it; she grabbed Julian by the collar of his sports coat and pulled him into a fiery kiss. Julian was taken aback.

“Make love to me, Julian,” she begged as she pulled off his coat.

“Eve,” Julian moaned, “You know we can’t…”

“Shut up and take me Julian…take me right here, right now!” she pulled his face to her chest.

Julian’s lips made contact with Eve’s soft warm skin. His arms instinctively went around her and brought her close to him as he devoured her breasts.

“Eve…Eve,” he picked up his head and whispered, “But what about…” he rubbed his face against her skin, “I thought we couldn’t…”

“But I need you,” she groaned into his ear, “Julian…Julian, I can’t wait any longer! Make me yours!” she attempted to lift his shirt, but Julian stopped her.

Julian backed away and stared back at her from where he was standing.

“Julian, what’s wrong; don’t you want me?” sadness crept into her eyes.

But Julian wasn’t pulling away from her; he was undressing before her, just as he had asked her that first night they had arrived home. He lifted his shirt over his head to reveal his muscular chest, which Eve never took her eyes off of. Julian then reached for the button on his pants and undid it. After he stepped out of them, he walked over to Eve and looked to her as his hands rested on her string bikini underwear. Eve’s hands went to his face, as she brought his face to hers. Julian then pulled down her underwear.

“Beautiful,” he said as his hands slid up her legs, slid up the backs of her thighs, and then rested on her backside.

Julian then lifted Eve into his arms and off the bed, and then gently laid her on her back. Julian removed his underwear and laid beside Eve on the bed. He was scared for her; for both of them. Julian took what Eve had told him in Houston very seriously. He didn’t want to do anything to set his wife’s recovery back. But he wanted his wife so much; he needed her. It had been so long since they had showed each other just how much they cared for one another.

“Touch me, Julian,” Eve closed her eyes as she brought his hand to her breast.

“Are you sure, Eve? Is this really what you want?” he asked cupping her chin, and staring her straight in the eyes.

“Yes,” she said as she brought him on top of her.

Julian was straddling Eve’s thighs, when he reached down and spread them. Julian knelt between them and bent down to kiss Eve on her lips. He smiled down at her and then ever so delicately slipped himself into her…

“Ooh,” Eve let out and grabbed a hold of his shoulders.

Julian took her hands off of his shoulders and locked them down under his above her head.

“My darling, wife…” Julian bit his bottom lip as he thrust into her, “God, I’ve missed you; you don’t know how…” he picked up the pace, “Oh, how wonderful it feels being one,” his tongue rolled over her nipple.

“Julian,” Eve panted as she wrapped her legs around him tightly.

Eve’s hands were released as Julian’s now rested on her waist. He withdrew from between Eve’s legs and stood at the side of the bed. And before Eve had a chance to question his sudden abruptness, Julian grabbed her waist and yanked her onto him once more. He lifted Eve’s lower half off the bed as he moved within her, and held her legs firmly closed around him.

Eve’s body was tingling all over; her hands needed something to hold onto, so she gripped onto the sheets…pulling them off the mattress.

“Love me, Julian…love me!”

“I love you, Eve,” he leaned over her, “I love you,” he whispered into her neck as he gave one final thrust.

“I love you too…more than you know,” she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him; their tongues intertwined with each other, not ever wanting to forget what the other tasted like.

Eve turned the water off and stepped out of the shower onto the rug in the bathroom. She stared back at herself in the mirror and began crying once again.

“This wasn’t supposed to happen,” she leaned forward on the countertop, “We weren’t supposed to…” she shook her head as more tears escaped, “Tc,” she whispered, “What have I done? I betrayed both Tc and my sister…and Julian.”

Julian knocked on the door.

“Eve, are you okay in there?”

“Yes, yes I’m fine,” she answered quickly, never bothering to disguise her voice.

“Eve, I know you’re not okay in there…just please unlock the door and let me in,” he begged.

“No! I need to be alone. Please, just leave me alone!” she screamed on the other side of the door.

“Okay…I’ll be downstairs for breakfast,” Julian touched the door one last time and left.

Eve stared back at her reflection. Poor Julian. If he only knew. Eve slipped up once at this moment, but she wasn’t going to again. She vowed to herself that she wouldn’t let this happen again. Her excuse to why it did happen in the first place was that she had had too much to drink…but she knew deep down it was because she was falling…falling madly in love with her brother-in-law, Julian Crane.
---

Eve came downstairs and entered the dinning room. She walked by the boys and planted a kiss on the tops of their heads. Julian looked up from the newspaper he was reading, but didn’t say one word. Eve hadn’t made eye contact with him; he sensed something. So he continued to read the paper.

Pilar walked in to give Eve her coffee, and sensed the tension in the room.

“Thank you, Pilar,” Eve said and then looked in Julian’s direction, but he just kept behind the wall the newspaper was creating in front of him.

“De nada, Señora…uh, Eve,” Pilar smiled, “What will it be this morning?”

“Oh, don’t go to any trouble for me…just whatever you’ve made will be fine, thank you,” Eve looked at Pilar, and then glanced at Julian again.

“Boys, it’s time for school,” Pilar announced.

They got up out of their chairs and hugged Eve and then ran around the table to hug Julian. After the kids left, Julian folded up the paper and set it down in front of him. He looked over to Eve who was adding sugar and cream to her coffee. He continued to watch her every move. Eve could feel his eyes on her, but refused to look in his direction, until he spoke.

“So, is this how it’s going to be every time after we make love?”

Eve didn’t answer. Julian cleared his throat.

“I see. Well, I don’t want to be late to the office,” he stood and threw down his napkin onto the table.

He put on his suit jacket and grabbed his briefcase.

“I’ll call if I’m going to be late,” he began walking out, but turned back around and set his briefcase down on the table.

He walked over to Eve and stood directly behind her chair placing his hands on the table at either side of her body, entrapping her.

“Earlier you said I took advantage of you, hmm?” he whispered into her ear, “Well, if that’s true, I am not the only guilty party here. It seems that someone here didn’t mind jacking me off the other day that I was ill and in and out of consciousness.”

Eve gasped and turned to look at Julian, but found his lips on hers.

“I did nothing of the sort,” she pushed Julian away from her, stood, and made her way to the window.

Eve was looking outside, as Julian quietly unbuttoned his pants and pulled down his zipper. He walked to Eve and then grabbed her arm and turned her around towards him.

“So, you’re saying that you didn’t touch me at all?” Julian grabbed Eve’s hand and placed it on his manhood.

Eve’s eyes widened as she tried to take back her hand, but Julian didn’t budge. He just closed her hand around him.

“You’re trying to tell me that you didn’t hold me in your hand?” he said with a hoarse voice, “You’re trying to tell me that you didn’t enjoy it…I know I did. I know I enjoyed touching you, Eve.” Julian’s hand made its way inside her pants, beneath her underwear.

“Julian!” Eve screamed.

Pilar entered the room, but stopped after she saw them in the intimate situation they were in. Both Julian and Eve were with their hands down the other’s pants.

“Ay, Dios mio…excuse me, I’ll be in the kitchen if I’m needed,” she covered her eyes and walked back into the kitchen.

“Julian, stop! Get your hands out of there,” Eve moaned as she fell back against the wall.

“Stop?” he kept caressing her, “Are you sure?” he brought his hand out and stared at her.

Eve’s eyes were closed as her breathing was labored. Julian let go of her hand that was in his pants and placed his hands on the wall at both sides of Eve’s body. She then peeked through one eye, and saw how Julian was smiling as he watched her, so she opened both eyes.

“Hmm,” Julian looked down in between them to her hand that was still wrapped tightly around him, “I love it when you touch me.”

Eve snapped back to reality and yanked her hand from his pants.

“I’ll be home early tonight,” he leaned forward and placed a soft kiss upon her lips; Eve didn’t pull away, “I love you.”

Eve didn’t know how to reply to that, so she looked down.

“I love you?” Julian lifted her chin and kissed her again.

Eve still didn’t answer.

“Eve? I love you,” he smiled just before his lips captured hers once more; this time the kiss deepened.

Julian finally pulled away and looked to her for a response.

“I love you,” she whispered as she smiled.

He smiled brightly before he turned and left.
---

Julian arrived home that evening. He was a bit late, but he called Eve and informed her that he would be. He left his briefcase in the library and started up the stairs in search of his beautiful wife.

“Eve? Eve, darling?” he walked into their bedroom, but didn’t find her, “Eve, are you in there?” he knocked on the bathroom door, but still, there was no answer.

Julian decided to go and check to see if she was with the boys, but they were sound asleep and there was still no sign of Eve.

“Where can she be?” he said to himself.

Julian walked back downstairs when he heard voices coming from one room. He walked in to find Eve watching a movie in their little theater room that they had. Eve turned around when she heard the door open.

“I’ll be up in a while, I just felt like watching a movie,” she said.

“May I join you? I don’t want to be all alone in the room,” Julian stood behind her and bent down and kissed her shoulder.

Eve swallowed.

“If you want.”

Julian sat next to Eve and brought her close to him; putting his arm around her.

“What are we watching, darling?”

“Pretty Woman,” she said as her hand and cheek rested on Julian’s chest.
~~~
Edward opened the door for Vivian, but stopped her, “Stay! Stay the night with me; not because I’m paying, because you want to.”
“I can’t.” Vivian responded.
Edward understood that he had to let her go, “Good-bye…”
~~~

Eve thought to herself. She thought or she hoped that Julian would be like Edward Lewis from “Pretty Woman”. She hoped that Julian would ask her to stay with him when it was time for her to leave them. If only she could stay with him forever…if only…
~~~
“Lay a whisper on my pillow
Leave the winter on the ground
I wake up lonely, the stare of silence
In the bedroom and all around
Touch me now, I close my eyes
And dream away…”
It must have been love, but it's over now
It must have been good, but I lost it somehow
It must have been love, but it's over now
From the moment we touched, 'til the time had run out…”
~~~

Eve’s hand slipped in between the buttons on Julian’s shirt. She then unbuttoned his shirt and began kissing his chest.

“Eve,” Julian moaned and ran his fingers through her hair, “You’re not going to regret this are you?”

“No,” she whispered, “Are you?”

“Never, Eve, never,” Julian pulled Eve’s face to his.

Eve wanted Julian. She finally realized that she couldn’t hide her feelings anymore. Eve was going to be leaving in a few weeks; she just wanted one last time with him.

Eve stood up in front of Julian and never took her eyes off of him. Julian gave her a look of confusion, until Eve pulled down the spaghetti straps to her silk nightgown and let it drop to the floor.

“Eve…” Julian’s mouth went dry.

Eve wasn’t wearing a bra of course, but what surprised Julian, was that she didn’t have any underwear on as well. It was as if she had planned this.

Her hands went to his pants and undid them and yanked them off.

“What’s the matter, Julian? Cat caught your tongue?” she sat upon him

“Mmm,” Julian grunted, “Eve…Eve…”

“I’m not drunk, Julian,” she smiled as she moved upon him, “I am very aware of everything that I’m doing; very aware of your touch,” her hands rested at the back of his neck.

Eve began rocking back and forth upon Julian. It was when Julian thrust up into her, that Eve leaned back and took pleasure of Julian being buried deep within her; she loved his hands upon her body…she loved Julian.

Eve then sat upright and hugged Julian to her.

“I love you, Julian,” she whispered into his ear, “I love you…always remember that…” she placed a kiss just behind his ear.

“I love you too, honey,” his arms wrapped around her tightly, never wanting to let go of her.

Julian found that strange. Why was Eve talking as if they’d never see each other again? As if this was their last time together?
