All of the Martin Clues in One Concise Post. . . . . (Repost)

[I posted this about a month ago on the Main Board but thought it might be of interest in light of the many, many theory posts about The Martin Mystery. I have updated it in a couple of places as noted.]
Here are the various clues about (1) Martin's disappearance and (2) the Body and (3) other Events in Sheridan's dreams. As of a few weeks ago, the CLUES NO LONGER FIT ANY REASONABLE TIMELINE. We must now ignore the timeline and eventually we will find out exactly which clues are meaningful and which ones are not. Also - at one time, there appeared to be a difference between Sheridan's "flashbacks" and her "dreams," but that no longer seems to be the case.

MARTIN'S DISAPPEARANCE

1. The Phone Call from Alistair - Luis remembers his father receiving a phone call from Alistair one night (let's call this Day A). It was the only time he recalls his father hearing from Alistair. His father was angry during the phone call. (I never saw this episode, but I don't believe it entailed a "flashback" - it was Luis' recollection related to some one else.)

Julian claimed that the phone call involved Martin's embezzlement of Crane Industries funds, but noone believes him.

UPDATE Luis remembered his father's phone call once more. This time it was a flashback and his father appeared nervous, not angry as previously stated.

2. Morning of Day B Martin left the house and went to work at Crane Industries.

3. Night of Day B Martin did not come home; at some point, there was a flashback (in the current Lo-Fitz home - Timeline Alert! Lol) of a teenage Luis comforting his sobbing mother because his father had not returned home. I'm not sure if it was late that night, or early the next morning (Day C).

4. Last fall, these events were always described as occurring "fifteen years ago." Luis would therefore have been about 12/13/14. Sheridan is presumably about two years younger. Ethan is four years younger than Luis.

SHERIDAN'S DREAMS/FLASHBACKS (Note: the only information we have about what happened THAT NIGHT is from Sheridan's dreams and flashbacks - we don't know what is real or unreal)

1. In one dream, Sheridan (in today's age) is watching a younger Sheridan standing in a large room. She tries to warn the younger Sheridan to run away, before it's too late. Then someone is coming towards her (apparently from another room) and the older Sheridan warns "Hide, you must hide." The younger Sheridan has a letter opener in her hand and tries to hide against a wall.

2. Sheridan sees a body on the floor, wrapped in a sheet. Two people lift the body and place it in a coffin.

3. Sheridan walks towards a body with blood on her hands. There is NO blood on her pink pinafore (I'd like to think that is quite significant, but it's probably just an oversight by the stupid writers). She looks down and sees a sheet-covered body. There are three large bloodstains on the chest area and one large bloodstain on the head.

4. Sheridan tells someone that she "didn't mean to do it." An older man's voice (her father?) says that she has done a very bad thing. She is told that it is all her fault. No one will ever love her.

OTHER RECOLLECTIONS REGARDING SHERIDAN

1. Ethan - He remembers being in the house THAT NIGHT and being awakened by Sheridan's screams. He was told (by Pilar?) that Sheridan had another nightmare.

2. Pilar - Remembers comforting Sheridan regarding her nightmare THAT NIGHT.

3. Leaving for Europe - Pilar told Sheridan that the next day (Day C), Sheridan was shipped off to Europe. Pilar was not there at the mansion because it was the day AFTER Martin disappeared.

4. Psychiatrists - Sheridan apparently spent some amount of time in psychiatric hospitals in Europe, although this has been largely glossed over and may no longer be relevant.

5. The Mansion Living Room When Sheridan first returned to Harmony, she immediately had flashbacks whenever she entered the Mansion's living room. (I believe this is why she decided to live in the cottage.) The flashbacks ended when she and Luis returned from New Mexico, believing that Martin was alive.

OTHER CLUES (Maybe?)

1. Documents - Last January, during a phone conversation with Alistair, Julian handled some documents from his private safe and indicated that they were related to Martin's disappearance. Later, while the documents were in his hands, Pilar walked into the study, Julian dropped them and Pilar stooped down to help pick them up. When Julian objected, Pilar questioned whether they had anything to do with her husband.

2. Faux Martin - For some reason (which may be totally irrelevant now that he served his purpose by crashing through the skylight on NYE), Alistair and Julian set up a false Martin in New Mexico using Martin's social security number. The Faux Martin had a scar exactly where the Real Martin had a scar (intentionally made at Julian's behest). Faux Martin also had a pocketknife that Pilar had given to Real Martin.

3. Julian's Memory - In one of Julian's, NOT Faux Martin, flashbacks, Julian was walking with a man whose back was to the camera. Julian told the man that no one must ever know why Martin Fitzgerald had disappeared from Harmony. The man said that he understood. [Question: - if it was Faux Martin that Julian was talking to, then why didn't they show his face???? I think it was REAL Martin that Julian was talking to.]

4. The Coffin - I'm fuzzy on this particular item. Sher and Ethan went to the local funeral home and asked about coffins.

5. The Cottage - Alistair is upset that Luis is staying in the cottage. Something happened in the cottage that required Julian to "destroy all the evidence." Luis found an old bullet hold in the cottage's window frame. The cottage was renovated AFTER the Lo-Fitz family moved out and AFTER Sheridan left for Europe.

THE SECRET THAT COULD DESTROY THE CRANES, IF EVER DISCOVERED

The "secret" about THAT NIGHT has never been described in any way, shape or form. Usually, Alistair has said "if anyone ever find out what happened that night, the entire Crane empire would be destroyed." However, once or twice, Alistair has said "If Luis ever finds out what happened to his father that night, the Crane empire will be destroyed." So, does the "secret" involve ONLY Martin's disappearance or does it involve something far more significant and Martin disappeared in order for that secret to remain hidden.

OTHER CLUES WHICH WE ARE NOW SUPPOSED TO "FORGET"

1. Pilar left a key under a rock in their current backyard because "your father and Antonio know that we always leave a key there and I want them to be able to get into the house when they return." Now, if the Lo-Fitz family lived in the cottage at the time of Martin's disappearance, how would Martin know where the key is?

2. When Faux Martin returned to Harmony (he had clearly been there before), he knew how to find Martin's house. The implication was that Martin had lived there when he disappeared. But in recent weeks, it appears clear that the story has changed and Martin disappeared BEFORE the Lo-Fitz family moved from the cottage.

3. Luis recalled an instance when his father informed him that Luis would be able to go to baseball camp. In this flashback, Luis was about 12 (11-13) years old. In other words, MUCH older than the young child we saw in the birthday party flashback. Moreover, in the flashback, Little Luis says something like "But Mama says that because of the new house, we can't afford . . . . ."

UPDATE The latest flashback of Pilar and Martin dancing showed the former Little Luis (12 years old) and therefore indicates that the Lo-Fitz family lived in the cottage for several years past that birthday party. Luis indicated that his father disappeared around the same time. [I wonder if viewer complaints about the inconsistent clues forced them to at least get Luis' age correct!]

4. Miguel has occasionally mentioned his memories of his father - fishing, etc. And yet Luis told Sheridan that after his father disappeared, he was responsible for changing diapers.

5. Luis once asked his mother to declare his father legally dead so that she could refinance the mortgage on their house. If Martin disappeared BEFORE the Lo-Fitz family moved out of the cottage, his name would never have been on the mortgage documents. [Actually, to add insult to injury, there is no way that Pilar would ever have obtained a mortgage for a home on her salary alone following Martin's disappearance, especially if the family had been "renting" prior to that time. But the writers have made it clear time and again that intelligent viewers are supposed to remove their brains before watching Passions.]

If anyone can remember other clues which are relevant to the mystery, please post them and I'll try to keep track. If others are interested in keeping track of the clues, let me know and we'll make this a collective effort.
