The baptism of Chad Harris Crane was a joyous event for everyone involved. Even Piccola had come from New Orleans. While Serena had jetted off to Europe, both Nicholas and Julia stayed and extended an olive branch to their new brother. Chad was happy to take it slow with them.

Chad, flanked by his parents, gladly signed the papers that officially changed his last name to Crane.

Chad looked at all the people in the room, and was on the verge of tears several times. Both Grace and Sheridan had give him wonderful gifts, from the heart. His parent’s choice of godparents couldn’t have been better.

Chad loved the gift from Ethan – original sheet music from Jelly Roll Morton. Things had gotten a lot better with Ethan, who truly wanted to get to know Chad as a brother.

Aside from the Escalade, Julian had also offered the Crane Jet for their vacation and an extension of the vacation with them staying an additional week in the Crane Resort in Bermuda.

Julian also had another announcement at the party. Julian was proud to tell the guests that he had made a re-commitment to Crane Charities. And, that in addition to it getting more funds, it was also getting a new director – Madelaine Russell.

The guests were surprised by the announcement, but Madelaine told the crowd that the opportunity to help people on such a major scale wasn’t one that she could turn down. And, that she looked forward to working with Julian on expanding the reputation of the foundation worldwide.

Chad, who knew what his father had planned, made an announcement of his own. He presented Madelaine with keys to a new house. It was his gift to her, because he was happy she was staying. Chad smiled at TC, who had come up with the idea. TC offered a toast to his mother, thanking her for keeping the family together, no matter what.

As everyone raised their glass to Madelaine, TC and Julian linked eyes. Julian nodded and tipped his glass towards him. TC responded in kind.

The Mystery of Chad Harris had been solved, to everyone’s satisfaction.
