Today’s show was sort of funny.

Subject: New stuff at the hospital

I did enjoy Grace and Charity’s prayer. I liked it because here was finally someone in town, though everyone else has seen Charity’s track record, that doesn’t automatically discount Charity’s visions. Grace was patient and thoughtful with Charity, and she validated the possibility that Charity was indeed having visions.

I liked that these two people of faith prayed together. It was interesting to see Grace, who was actually thinking in those scenes on Friday, helped Charity piece together what probably happened and what she had to give up – Miguel.

Grace’s little speech about true love finding a way was meant as encouragement to Charity, yet Grace was human, when she had to portray that she was having her own doubts.

I also liked the fact that Charity spoke to Grace about her visions with Luis, Sheridan and Theresa. While Grace didn’t discount those visions, she tried to put her own positive spin on things, by telling Charity that she was sure that their prayer helped someone that they knew, suggesting that Luis, Sheridan or Theresa had been helped. Charity said that maybe it was Luis or Sheridan, but that she felt Theresa was beyond hope.

Pilar came over to hear the tail-end of their conversation, and asked what Charity was talking about with regards to Luis and Sheridan. Charity told her of her vision where they were concerned, and Pilar was very upset. Once Charity found out that Luis and Sheridan were in Bermuda, she told Pilar that she had seen them in a tropical climate, as well as a funeral service for Sheridan. Charity told her that she was unclear as to whether Luis was at the service also. Pilar begins to freak out.

Pilar’s franticness is only heightened when she finds out that Charity also has had visions of Theresa in trouble with a strange man. That Theresa was drinking champagne, and crying over Ethan.

I was LOL as Pilar talked about ‘naïve’ Theresa. Ah, the hard sell has already begun. Theresa – the VICTIM of the evil, horrible, Julian, and of course, NOT responsible for her own actions. It’s too funny.

I teetered towards sympathy for Pilar until she uttered that tripe.  Victim indeed. Whatever.

Subject: Bruce has been so much fun

Bruce was the man in Bermuda today. Between helping Julian along with his schemes and giving side commentary, he was such a hoot.

Julian has decided not to marry Rebecca, citing ‘appearances’. Rebecca tells Julian to get with the program and put a wedding ring on her finger, ‘or else’.

Or else what?, Julian asks.

Or else, she’ll be singing like a canary to the police and anyone who will listen.

Theresa and Whitney are worried about Ethan finding out. Whitney tells Theresa that Julian has gotten everyone’s silence in this, and that he’s working on the annulment.

Luis is telling Ethan to marry Theresa as soon as possible. Don’t delay; he wishes he hadn’t.

Julian comes over to Theresa, and she asks about the annulment. Julian says that he’s working on it, and then suggests that he and Theresa stay married. The look on both Whitney and Theresa’s faces were priceless. Whitney reminds Julian of the threat to his physical health, and if Luis and Ethan don’t do the job, Whitney is sure that there are others, say TC and Sam, who would like to finish Julian off.

She utters Pilar’s enabling mantra about Theresa the victim. Get those violins humming folks. The hard sell is about to come, since the truth is about to come out.

The Justice of the Peace is having an attack of conscience, and Bruce is there to tell him that he can get rid of the conscience. He was paid to do a job, and there will be consequences if he doesn’t do as Julian asks. The JOP doesn’t seem to care, but, Bruce keeps after him, telling him to keep his mouth shut, which he ultimately does.

Julian decides to wed Rebecca to keep her off his back. So, once he announces that they will be married, she is happy and off to the Chapel.

Ethan tells Theresa that he has a surprise for her. Theresa is happy, until…..

They wind up at the wedding chapel and he tells her that he wants to get married right then and there. Theresa says that she doesn’t want to spoil Julian and Rebecca’s wedding day, and Gwen, terrified that she’s about to lose Ethan, goes over to back Theresa up…LOL

Ethan won’t take no for an answer, and in the end, you have the hilarious scene of Ethan, Theresa, Julian and Rebecca standing in front of the Justice of the Peace. The looks on the oblivious and the knowing cracked me up.
