Ordinary Lives *Intro* (Odd couple, but give them a chance)
by Reese-aholic

I am reposting this fic, because I will be adding some more chapters.
This is a fic about Miguel and Simone. They began dating in high school, and have been together for ten years. They have been married for six of the ten years. There was never a Charity, Kay was never in love with Miguel, and Simone was never in love with Chad. This fic is based on my life with my husband and my kids. All of the dialog from Morgan (and Grayson for that matter)is from actual conversations my children have had with my husband or myself. Basically this is a story of ordinary people with ordinary lives. This story will be written in individual chapters (more like little short stories) because you would get majorly bored if I wrote everything that happenes in our daily lives.

BTW, when I describe the "characters" (their bodies and such) I am describing the actors, not myself and my husband. I am not that vain. LOL. Oh, and Simone will always be Lena Cardwell to me. Enjoy.

Introducing the Lopez-Fitzgeralds... (This first "chapter" is merely to get you aquainted with this little family, and their life.)

Miguel snuggled close to his half-asleep wife, tracing her shapely outline with his hand. She moaned groggily and backed into him even more, delighting in the feel of his warm muscular chest against her back. When his fingers caressed her face, she smiled and turned towards him. They just stayed there staring at one another for a moment before Miguel looked past her to the green neon numbers on the clock, and then back at Simone, wiggling his eyebrow suggestively. She looked over her shoulder, checking the same clock, and turned back to him with a huge grin on her face. In lightening quick speed, they were both out of the bed and on their feet, running to their master bathroom. Miguel grabbed the toothpaste, twisting off the cap, as Simone shoved two toothbrushes his direction. After Miguel had globbed the white paste onto both of their brushes, and they had quickly scrubbed their teeth, the two jetted back into the bedroom and jumped into bed.

"Ah, much better!" Miguel winked at his wife and began placing small kisses all over her neck, as she squirmed under his lips, giggling.

"That tickles," she said, scrunching her nose. He made his way up to her ear and sucked on the soft skin of her lobe, eliciting a soft moan. "And that tickles." She whispered seductively. He pulled her up to a sitting position and removed her satin nightie, exposing her naked flesh.

His gaze was riveted on her face, then moved over her body slowly, as his finger trailed her arm. "You still manage to take my breath away."

"Aww! Okay, enough ogling. The kids are going to be awake in like two minutes. Now get your sexy buns over here." She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him on top of her.

"Yes, mam."

Simone backed her red, Ford Escort wagon out of the driveway and began the short trip to Harmony High where Miguel taught. She was taking the kids to meet him for lunch as she did every Thursday afternoon. She looked into the tiny mirror, placed just below the rearview mirror, directing her vision to the back seat of the car. She smiled at the sight of her eighteen-month-old son, Grayson, sleeping peacefully in his comfy car seat. She then shifted her gaze to her three-year-old daughter Morgan and let out a small chuckle as she watched her oldest child shove her pointer finger up her nose.

"Morgan, honey do you need a tissue?" Simone asked the petite beauty.

"No, mommy. Sometimes you just can't get your boogie with a tissue; you just have to use your finger." Simone could barely contain her laughter as she handed the soft cotton to her daughter.

"You know what? You're absolutely right. But how about you put your boogie in here after you get it?"

"Okay mommy." Morgan finally fished out the source of her discomfort and held it proudly on the end of her finger. "Look, I got it!" She smiled at her accomplishment, wiped it off of her finger with the tissue, and handed it back to Simone. "Here mommy. You take it."

"Thanks sweetie." Simone placed the item in the garbage and turned her attention back to Morgan. "So did you have fun with Grandma this morning?" Morgan nodded her head and grabbed a book from the toy holder, positioned next to her. Trying for a little more information, Simone asked, "what did you do?"

"We played... Did you know that Grayson has a penis, and I have a giant?" Morgan asked, unabashedly.

Again, Simone checked her laughter as she realized Morgan's mistake. She was about to tell her daughter the correct terminology, but Morgan had already changed subjects and was now chatting about the puppy they had seen on their walk.

"That's great honey." She shook her head and smiled as she parked the car in front of the large brick building. After getting both kids out of their car seats, Morgan bounced up the steps towards the entrance, stopping only to give her mother the "would you please hurry", look. Once inside, they were met with over eight hundred quickly moving teenagers, all trying to get to lunch.

"Hey, Mrs. LF," Simone heard, and nodded at a group of teens walking past. Another group, consisting of a bunch of girls who baby-sat for them, stopped her, requesting to hold Grayson. She passed the sleeping child to the group and took Morgan into Miguel's room, where he was joking around with some of his students.

"Daddy!" Morgan yelled, as she ran to him and jumped into his opened arms.

"There's my girl." He picked her up and threw her over his shoulder, eliciting a peal of laughter from his oldest child.

"Later, Mr. LF, Mrs. LF." The mass of guys called as they filed out of Miguel's classroom. Simone smiled at the boys and Miguel tipped his head in a nod of farewell, as he walked over to his wife placing a kiss on her cheek.

"How has your day been going? And where is Grayse?"

"Grayson is with Jenny and Kelly, and my day had been great. Your mom came over and took Morgan this morning." She paused with a chuckle. "I guess she decided that today was a good day to teach our daughter about her and Gray's anatomy. Morgan now thinks she has a giant." Miguel face tuned into a smile, then laughter, and then it turned serious, as a fearful expression took over his features

"She didn't show her the big medical picture book did she?"

"I don't know." Simone said, suddenly horrified. That book could scar a child. "Morgan, did grandma show you a big book with lots of funny looking pictures?"

"You mean the book with the pictures of daddy with funny looking hair?"

Refief washed over Simone, and she smiled gratefully. "No sweetheart, daddy isn't in the book I was thinking about."

"That's what you think," Miuel chuckled. Simone shook her head at her incorrigible husband as he winked at her, and slipping out the classroom door.
