“Honey, I don’t mind coming over, but are you sure T.C. is not going to come back soon? The last thing we need is for him to find me here.” Julian said a bit concerned.

“He just left, I am sure they will be gone for a while. Anyway, I am happy you are here Julian.”

“You know you can count on me anytime you need me Eve, I am glad you called.”

“I just didn’t really want to be alone right now.”

“And you shouldn’t have to be, that was extremely rude of T.C. to make plans with Liz. Now I really have to wonder what you mean to T.C. You may be worried about Liz trying to come between you two, but it is obvious T.C. is interested in her as well.”

“Yes but Julian, you are interested in me, all is fair in love and war.”

“But the biggest difference is Liz is lusting after T.C. to get revenge on you Eve. You and I shared a past together, and we never intentionally planned on ending up in each other’s arms. As far as we knew, we would never be close ever again. You had your life with T.C. and your girls; I had my crazy life with Rebecca. But Eve, we have been brought back together; we have a second chance here to be in love. I know how hard it is for you to lie to T.C., I know it hurts you. I would wait for all of eternity for you to come back to me. But it’s almost like it’s inevitable sweetheart, dare I say its fate? Oh did I just use that word? My God, I sound like Theresa with Ethan.” He said smiling.

“It still feels like cheating Julian.”

“Eve, if I had never abandoned you, don’t you think we would have been together? Married with our own family?”

“I believe so.”

“See my dear, our love is so strong, look at what has happened. I never set out to make you mine again. All I ever wanted was for you to be happy with T.C. you know that. But with everything that has happened, we have come so far in such a short time Eve.”

“I know that Julian, I just wish I could figure out what to do about T.C. I know how I feel when I am with you, but I also know he is still my husband. But at least when he makes me angry, then I don’t feel as guilty. But that is only a temporary solution isn’t it? God how I wish life wasn’t so unfair.”

“Eve, I wish I could whisk you away from everything, just a few hours to
be alone where T.C. and Rebecca and everyone else would never find us. A moment to talk, to share our thoughts, to let me show you how much I really love you.”

“I would like that very much Julian, but it’s not realistic is it? We are both in a situation that is here and now, going away would only cover up what’s really there. But I do appreciate you being a dreamer.” Eve said.

“I only want what’s best for you Eve, I only want to take away all of the problems you have at this present time. I know we can’t make it go away, but I would give anything to take you somewhere. I can’t help but be a dreamer Eve, my heart was practically pushed out of my soul, replaced by lust and many many women. How could I ever compare just having sex, to fulfilling my real fantasies and desires by making love to you?”

“I am sorry that I can’t be so positive right now. I guess I have forgotten what’s it’s like to have dreams. I gave up my singing career; I gave up everything from being so bitter. Don’t think you are the only one who lost your heart Julian; I did lose mine as well for a while after we broke up. And as I said before, I threw my anger and every other feeling of abandonment into medicine.”

“And you have become one of the most amazing doctor’s I have ever known Eve. You did become a success in medicine, but believe it or not darling, I believe you could still be a successful singer. I would back you one hundred percent. Maybe some day you can live that vision again.” Julian said.

“I don’t think so, I have been out of it far too long and besides it only leads to trouble.”

“But Eve, I was the one who caused that trouble, not you. It doesn’t mean it would be the same; I am not that person anymore. All I know is that you have a beautiful voice and someone in this world deserves to hear it.”

“Why are you so convinced I could be a singer again?”

“Because when I saw you on the stage, I fell so in love with you from the first note. I was in complete awe that night Eve and the audience would love you just as much today as they did then.”

“Let’s just leave it alone right now okay Julian?”

“Yes Eve, I understand, I am just letting you know that whatever you want from life, I can make it happen for you.”

“I don’t need money or materialistic things Julian, I know you are a Crane, but I don’t need it.”

“Oh darling, I simply meant that by letting me love you, I can make all of your dreams come true.” He said putting his hands on her shoulders.

“Let’s just take this one day at a time Julian. And then we will see what happens.”

“Alright Eve, I can do that, don’t worry, I know this isn’t going to be easy for either of us, but we are going to get through this. I promise it will get better.”

“I hope it does Julian, whatever happens, I need to count on you for support. Because I am sure there will be times when I am going to feel lost and upset and confused even though I will have your love.”

“All I ask is that you trust me Eve. Believe in our love and no matter what, follow your heart, it will guide you in the right direction.”
 
 

I would like to conclude this first installment of A Passion That Can’t Be Denied. The next installment will continue when everyone returns to Harmony. I have enjoyed writing about their relationship and can’t wait to explore many more possibilities.
