“Eve?”
“Yes Julian?”

“I have to be honest with you, after spending this time together, I wish we could stay here forever, as corny as that sounds.”

“It’s not Julian, I feel the same way, and I have to admit it will be very difficult I think for me to go back home today to see T.C.”

“As it will be with Rebecca, I shudder at the thought of it. My heart belongs only to you Eve, I just want to tell you and show you everyday how much I love you, how amazing that would be.”

“Julian, you are so sweet.”

He began to kiss her once more, enjoying being so close and intimate when Eve heard a noise.

“What’s that?”

“Hmm, maybe the snowplow? Let me just get up and look then.”

He got dressed and opened the door, and he was right. The man got out of it and came over to him.

“You folks okay, sorry I couldn’t get around any sooner.” He said.

“No problem, we are just fine, but thanks.” Julian said.

He shut the door once more and sat on the edge of the bed.

“Well my love, I guess we can leave anytime then.” He said sadly.

“Yeah I guess so.” Eve said.

She got dressed and looked at the time.

“Well it’s after one now Julian, I guess we better be heading back.”

“Yes I know, but one last thing before we go?” Julian said.

“What is it?”

“Whatever happens after today, I want you to know that I love you so much Eve, you are my life, my world, my heart. No matter how things go, I will stand by you and support you, even when times get tough and we can’t always be together. But I will always be thinking of you.” He said smiling.

“Julian, I love you so much, I am already missing you and we haven’t even left the cabin yet.”

“Me too Eve.”

It was quite chilly when they opened the cabin door to see all of the snow in front of them; Julian opened the car door for her and then cranked the heat as high as he could for the drive back. It wasn’t exactly a very long drive, but they wanted it to last for all of eternity. Eve looked at him, being very attentive to the road conditions for good reasons. He amazed her, how wonderful and sexy he was, how thoughtful and caring and loving he was, she wished that she could turn back the clock to when they were first together. She had said to him it was all in the past, but more than ever, she wanted to bring the past back, to think of the green fog and wonder what it really would have been like to be Mrs. Julian Crane, not Mrs. T.C. Russell. She knew he regretted ever abandoning her; it was Julian’s largest mistake in life he had ever made. He had done some pretty bad things to date, but leaving Eve was the biggest and he could have kicked himself for it. She truly knew he was sorry for everything, she knew he wanted more than ever to make a commitment to her and for the first time ever since developing a good and close relationship with him, Eve felt it too. Her feelings for Julian were stronger than ever and her heart belonged to him. She wanted so much to just reach over and put his arm around her, but being realistic, she wouldn’t even attempt it with the driving conditions. So she just sat there, her heart feeling like it was suddenly breaking. They would be together, but it did sadden her to have to part after today, if not for a few days or so and for Eve, it actually hurt.

Julian focused on the road, but his main focus was on Eve. He was already missing her and she was sitting right next to him. He wanted so much to start his life with her that day, to make it happen and be able to be together with no strings attached, no boundaries, and no worries. But it wasn’t going to be that way, at least not yet. He wanted Rebecca out of his life so badly, but it was going to be quite a task. And he knew Eve wanted at least Liz out of her life and she wanted to let T.C. down gently, to tell him that she was in love with another man. His love for Eve was so real and his heart was larger than ever, no one made him feel the way Eve did, no one ever did and no one ever would. It was only a matter of time when he would be giving her a goodbye kiss that day and he hated it. When Julian parked the car, which was away from prying eyes, and moved his seat back for a minute, closing his eyes and thinking. Eve sat there looking at him, not sure what to say, as obviously they were thinking the same thing. He turned to look at her and she smiled slightly.

“Darling, this is so hard isn’t it?” Julian said.

“Yeah it is, I know we will see each other again, but it feels like I am losing my best friend. Oh Julian, I don’t want to face T.C.”

“I know you don’t, as I don’t want to face Rebecca, but we have no choice.”

“Yeah no choice, I wish we had plenty of choices, to be together with no one in our way.” Eve said.

“I will see you, please believe me, I will make every opportunity available to be with you Eve, you have my word.”

“I know that Julian, I know you will make the time for me.”

“God Eve, how I wish I could give you my undivided attention twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Okay yes, I know you need your space, but that is how I feel, I would make all of the time in the world for you.” Julian said.

Eve then leaned forward and hugged him as tightly as she could; he played with her hair and rubbed her back. When he looked at her, he traced his finger over her soft mouth. Eve then took his hand in hers and leaned forward to kiss him, one that started out sweet, but became more passionate at the thought of stepping out of the car within a few moments from then. He was enjoying the kiss, when Eve suddenly pulled away from him.

“What’s the matter dear?”

“We have to go Julian, as much as I don’t want to, we have to.” Eve said.

“I know we do, I just love kissing you so much, I wanted to make it last.”

Eve opened the car door to get out, but then changed her mind and shut it. She looked at him, sitting there, looking so miserable. The look in his eyes was enough for her not to want to leave just yet; instead she brought herself to sit against him, her head against his warm chest. He played with her hair, loving that she felt so content to just be near him. When she looked up at him, she looked into his hazel eyes, which told of everything he was feeling at that very moment. Abruptly, she couldn’t resist him, and began kissing him quite fervently. She couldn’t help herself; their love was just too strong now after spending the night together. She undid a few buttons on her shirt, revealing her bra and wanting Julian to explore once more. She loved his touch so much, she didn’t care if they were in the car or not, she wanted to feel so cared for and he made her truly feel that way. Within a few minutes, it looked like a scene from the drive-in with the windows steamed up. Julian’s shirt undone and Eve’s completely off, they looked at one another, their desire for each other still so new and real after all of their years apart. Julian kissed her again; wanting to undress her completely, but he then stopped himself.

“What is it?” Eve asked.

“Sweetie, I want so much to take this to a level like we did in the cabin, but I know that I should stop, as hard as that is when I am with you. It’s not that I don’t want to, but it’s for the best Eve, do you understand?”

“Actually Julian, I do.”

Eve sat back in the seat, putting on her top, knowing Julian was right, they had to face up to the reality of the situation. Hopefully, they would have many opportunities to be together in the very near future.

“Do you want me to take you home? It’s obviously so crappy outside. I don’t want you to have to walk.” Julian said, the car parked a safe distance from her house.

“It’s okay Julian, I don’t want T.C. to see you, not now. I will be fine.”

“At least let me drive you a bit closer, I will be cautious about it.”

“Okay.”

Julian stopped the car and he leaned over to her, giving her one more kiss before she departed. He watched her walk away, so sad to be going back to Rebecca. He let out a big sigh when he opened the door to the mansion.

“Oh Julian I am so glad to see you, we had such a nasty storm, are you okay?” Rebecca asked.

“Yes I am fine, but I am going to bed now.”

“What, but its mid afternoon.”

“Becky, I have had a long day, I need some alone time, why don’t you call Gwen?”

“I just got back from seeing her, now why don’t we go up to bed? I am sure little Julian has been calling out for me.” She said smiling.

“Sorry, but little Julian has left the building and is out until further notice.”

“Oh come on Julian.”

“Just leave me alone!” he said raising his voice to her.

“Don’t take that tone with me!”

“I will take any tone I want with you, when I say leave me alone, I mean it!”

“I am so sick of your attitude, ever since you became stuck on Eve Russell again, you are a miserable jerk with me, well who needs you anyway, and I was only concerned about you because of the weather. You better learn to relax, or this marriage is going to be real hell.” Rebecca said.

“Oh it already is hell, and I am sure it will only get worse once I am actually married to you, anyway, go and find something constructive to do for a change.” He said coldly.

“Don’t treat me like a dog Julian, you are being extremely rude.”

“When you stop blackmailing me, I will stop being rude, now why don’t you go and fetch the newspaper like a good girl.” He said patting her head.

Rebecca glared at him, slapping his hand away from her and stormed out of the room. Julian smiled slightly; he was going to show her that she couldn’t walk all over him, not anymore. Before going upstairs, he poured himself the usual and took one big gulp, numbing the pain of living in the same house with a witch like her. Julian would put up with her as long as he could if it meant being with Eve. He knew he had to get out of this relationship with Rebecca, but he had to come up with a plan, which would take some time. For Eve, he had to hope he would not be killed when she told T.C. that she was going to leave him. When Eve returned home, T.C. greeted her at the door, giving her a kiss, which she wasn’t too keen on.
