Eve went to a hotel that was outside of Harmony to stay. She hated to leave, but she just couldn’t look at Julian the same at this point. She wanted to forgive him, she wanted so badly to, but she just couldn’t, not yet. She was angry with him for being involved in such a plot with Alistair, yet sad that he was willing to take his sister’s life. Deep down, Eve did love him very much, her heart was breaking for the second time within a day of leaving T.C., but she just had to be strong and do some soul searching.

Julian packed up the rest of the things and headed back to the mansion. When he opened the door, he came face to face with Rebecca.
“How could you, you bastard!” she said slapping him across the face.

“What the hell was that for?” he said angrily.

“For leaving me for Eve Russell, you two timing bastard Julian, it’s all over town, you and Dr. Eve, how dare you cheat on me with her? I am going to get my sweet revenge now and tell Luis everything.”

“Rebecca, you are in my way, so move!” he said his blood pressure beginning to rise.

“How could you sleep with that tramp, especially after me, that’s disgusting!’

“Don’t you ever call her a tramp again! She is angelic compared to the sins you have committed!”

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” she asked irritated.

“Just get out of my way before I move you personally, I am not in the mood for your damn blackmail or to listen to your pathetic and whiny voice which goes through my head like nails down a blackboard.” He said fuming.

“I can’t believe you are talking to me like this, you should be grateful I am letting you even back in this mansion Julian.”

“It’s my mansion and I don’t care if I have to throw you out myself, you are to leave, I don’t want see your face ever again!”

“This is my mansion too, I am your fiancée Julian.”

“You were my fiancée, I wouldn’t marry you if you were the last woman on earth!”

“Well then, I hope you will enjoy your time in jail.”

“Oh get over it, all you do is want to blackmail everyone for revenge, why don’t you just move on and find someone new? Or better yet, go back to Jonathon and beg him for forgiveness.”

“I am not going back to my ex-husband Julian, I could do a lot better than him.”

“Oh you think so do you? With your rotten attitude and greed for cold hard cash, who would put up with that? You should try to turn over a new leaf and just be normal for once, though with you that is quite difficult.”

“You are getting on my last nerve, perhaps, you had a fight already with you lover?” she said dryly.

It took every bit of restraint on his part not to lose control with her completely; he glared at her and walked by her. He slammed his office door and got right on the phone to his father.

“What do you want Julian?”

“I want you in my office ASAP so I can really tell you what I think about you!” he yelled.

“I am busy Julian.”

“I don’t care if you are in the middle of having sex with your secretary, I want you over here now father, or I will personally hunt you down!”

“What is your problem, don’t be an idiot!”

“The only idiot I know is you, you make me sick. I will never ever admit that I am a Crane if I have to be associated with you!”

“What the hell are you going on about? I am sorry if Eve didn’t give it to you last night, you do realize I know about you two.”

“So you know, so what? You have ruined my life.”

“I am not doing this on the phone Julian, I have to go now.”

“If you don’t come over here and listen to what I have to say, I will go personally to Luis and tell him about Martin-Lopez Fitzgerald.”

“You can’t blackmail your own father!”

“You want to bet, so are you coming over or not?”

“Fine, if you will shut up, fine.” Alistair said.

Alistair arrived a short time later.

“What do you have to say to me?” he asked.

“I want you to know first of all that you are nothing but a racist pig. I don’t give a damn about the colour of someone’s skin. You are such a scum, wanting only everyone in this family to be white. But you know what? I am in love with Eve and nothing is going to change that, not you or anyone else in this God forsaken town. I am proud and honored to know Eve, she is everything to me, she is the love of my life but because you are a selfish bastard, your hatred for Luis may have just cost me the woman I love. And if you do cost me my love, I swear you better get the hell out of Harmony or I will personally make sure you are escorted out.”

“Quit threatening me Julian, I don’t care about your feelings for Eve. If you were a real man and not this pathetic and sappy one, then I would care. I will only respect a son who stands up and is proud to be called a Crane.”

“I would give anything to change my name if it meant I didn’t have to be connected with you. I can now only pray that Eve will forgive me since I was honest with her about your plot with Sheridan and Luis. This has to stop, they love each other just like I love Eve, and nothing is worth dying for. I love Sheridan, I love her very much.” Julian said.

“You were a fool to even tell Eve about what you were involved with. She is not stupid, why would she stick around after hearing you tried to kill Sheridan? Have I taught you nothing Julian? You should have kept your mouth shut.”

“I love Eve too much to lie to her, it’s bad enough I kept the secret as long as I did, it was mistake. Now I have to deal with the consequences of my actions, but in turn, you are the one who started it all and should be penalized as well.” Julian said.

“Nope, never going to happen son, besides I don’t want to talk about all of this love, it’s just pathetic. But if you are going to stay with Eve or she stays with you, then kiss your easy and comfortable lifestyle goodbye, I am going to disinherit you and not only that, rip Fox of his cozy future.”

“Go ahead you son of a bitch, I don’t need the money and I will see that Fox is taken care of as well. That’s the least I can do for him considering what kind of father I was to him. You know if you had just let me be happy with Eve, I would have had such a good life, been a great husband and father, but no, you had to be a bastard and ruin my life just as you are trying to do with Sheridan’s.”

“If you would rather stay with Eve, and be tied to one woman, then that’s your choice, but don’t come crying to me when you are stuck in one marriage and miss being able to wine and dine many ladies Julian. You enjoyed the life of a player, I taught you what it was all about, spoiling a woman to get her into bed, adding one more notch on the belt and then moving on, who needs commitments when you have your choice of any woman you want to sleep with, now that’s a great life.” Alistair said smiling.

“Maybe for you father, you are too much of a coward to be monogamous, it’s all about power for you, in and out of the bedroom. But that’s not me anymore, I love Eve very much.”

“And you are telling me you are ready to be a father again because I know about that too.”

“Of course I am, this baby was created from true love, one thing you know nothing about and like I said I can only hope that Eve will want to be with me. And another thing, speaking of babies, don’t think I don’t know that you were involved in the kidnapping of our first born.”

“You have no proof of that.”

“You are Alistair Crane, you are definitely involved, and being the nasty jerk you are, guaranteed. Ripping an innocent child from its mother, you are cruel.”

“Julian, I am finding this conversation quite boring, I am starting to yawn.”

“You never take me seriously do you?”

“No Julian, to me, you are just wasted space.” Alistair said.

“Fine, get the hell out of my office then. But just remember, you are going to pay no matter what it takes, so you better not turn your back, you never know when I could be behind you.” Julian said crossing his arms.

“Like I’m scared of you.” Alistair said dryly.

“You better be, because I am not afraid to take my own father down.”

“Don’t flatter yourself Julian, I have so many sources backing me up, it would make your head spin.”

“Yeah sources, being the wimp you are, you would never take anyone on yourself, but I will take you on and win.” Julian said.

Alistair didn’t say another word and left, Julian sighed, being proud of standing up to his father, but sad because he missed Eve terribly. He put his head down on the desk, just wanting to be left alone, but he had a visitor.

“So you and Dr. Eve father?” Fox asked.

“Yeah, why?”

“I have to hand it to you, standing up to T.C. like that, I can’t believe you had the guts.”

“Fox, you should know by now that I love Eve with all of my heart and you would do the same for Whitney I am sure.”

“Yeah I probably would, I understand why you did it, but Whitney doesn’t, she isn’t exactly pleased with you or her mother right now.”

“I expected that Fox.”

“Simone totally hates Dr. Eve right now, she is siding completely with T.C., Whitney I think wants to talk to you about the whole situation though, you and her mom. Where is Dr. Eve anyway?”

“Um, busy.”

“Well be prepared, just watch out for Simone, she will totally level you about this, in fact she told me she hates your guts father, really hates you.”

“Did you try to explain to Whitney about our love in the past? I mean she does know that I did love Eve before she met her father, that I didn’t just steal her away from T.C.”

“Yes I told her, but she is still quite upset, think about it father, T.C. is the only father she has ever known and Eve and him were married so many years, you can’t exactly fault Whitney for being upset.”

“No, Whitney and I had become quite close, so maybe there is a chance that I can have a relationship of some kind with her, I know that Simone will be a lost cause, she hates her sister you said because of Chad right?”

“Yes for sure, don’t even count on Simone, I just came by to wish you good luck, I heard Rebecca gave you quite the slap on the face, in fact I think I still see a red hand print.” He said looking carefully.

“I can handle Rebecca, just try to talk to Whitney again for me okay?”

“Yeah okay, no problem.”

Fox shut the door and Julian sat down again in his chair. He didn’t have the heart to tell anyone that Eve and him were on the outs at least for now. He missed Eve so much, they were going to confront everyone together and now he had to do it alone. Eve brought most of her belongings with her when she checked in. She called work and asked to take a leave of absence, as she had to be by herself. She wanted to face everyone, but in due time. She sat on the bed and turned on the television.

“Well my little baby, it looks like it’s you and me.” She said rubbing her stomach.
