The next day Eve had some errands to run, Julian stayed home to watch his baby girl and was quite surprised when he opened the door to Liz.
“What do you need? I am kind of busy here.” He said holding onto Ashtyn who was getting restless.

“It’s good to see you actually being a father for once in your life Julian. It’s shocking actually, since you were such a womanizing drunk.” Liz said smiling.

“Whatever don’t say such things in front of my daughter, as I said what do you need?”

“Is Eve home?”

“No, she went out for a while, so whatever you want, I am sure I can help you.”

“I think I would rather wait for her to hear the news, it’s pretty amazing actually.” Liz said grinning.

“Oh God woman, have you cooked up another scheme to get even? Because you know it’s over, you have T.C., I have Eve, so shut up about it and continue to move on.” He said annoyed.

“Oh believe me Julian, I have totally moved on, in fact I have proof of it.”

“Yeah, what proof Liz?”

“Well, we haven’t shared this with anyone yet, only T.C. and I know about it.”

“What?” Julian asked.

“Alright, I suppose you can fill Eve in about it, I am having T.C.’s baby.”

Julian looked at her in shock, not sure what to say.

“I knew you would be speechless.” She said laughing.

“You are pregnant?”

“Yeah isn’t it great, I thought Eve would love to know.”

“Why would she?”

“Oh Julian, revenge is sweet isn’t it? I not only stole her husband, now I am with child.” She said touching her stomach.

“So you came over here just to tell Eve that?”

“Yes sir.” She said saluting him.

Julian stared at her, but snapped out of it when Ashtyn started to cry.

“Look, you have to go, I have to take care of her.” He said holding Ashtyn close.

“Well, I understand that Julian, soon enough I will have my own little bundle of joy, life is grand.” Liz said smiling.

He shut the door and sat down with her on the sofa, rocking Ashtyn in his arms. She cooed and laid her head against Julian, he could tell she was tired. He sat there for a little while; just thinking about how much Eve had had to endure and now to hear Liz was pregnant was beyond belief. Eve returned a few minutes later and she smiled when she saw that Ashtyn was asleep against him.

“Do you want me to take her?” Eve asked.

“No she’s fine, just let her sleep.”

“You look so cute together.” Eve said sitting next to him.

“Yeah, we do make quite a pair don’t we?” Julian said stroking Ashtyn’s hair.

“So did anyone call while I was gone?”

“Actually Liz came by.”

“Liz, what for?”

“Oh sweetheart, how do I tell you this.” He said stroking Eve’s cheek.

“What has she done now?”

“It’s not what she has done so much, it’s more of what T.C. has.”

“T.C., tell me Julian.”

“Oh Eve, Liz came over, being the witch that she is, she wanted you to know that she is pregnant.”

Eve’s eyes widened in complete shock.

“She wanted to gloat of course, you know Liz.” He said rolling his eyes.

“I can’t believe it.” Eve said shaking her head in disbelief.

“I’m sorry darling.”

“I would like to say I’m happy for her, but this is Liz Julian.”

“I know, which makes it far worse and let us not forget T.C. had a part in it too.” He said stroking her hair.

“Yeah, well, maybe T.C. wanted another baby, I have no idea, but with Liz, she probably figures since I have a baby, now she has to have one too.” She said annoyed.

“I pity that child Eve, I hate to say that, more on Liz’s part.”

“Yes, T.C., I have always said is a good father, but Liz, I don’t know, she has had so much hatred for me and life in general, unless a baby somehow mellows her out, I have no idea. But since she came over here to gloat about it, obviously, she is only thinking of showing me up. And she better learn that she has to put her child’s needs first and just forget about this damn revenge she has against me for a lifetime.” Eve said.

“I don’t know why she continues to want to get revenge Eve, she has T.C. and he is obviously happy with her, he just proved that.” He said dryly.

“I don’t care anymore that she has T.C., believe me Julian, I would never trade what we have for anything, we are a family and I love you and our dear little angel.” She said taking Ashtyn from him.

“I love you too Eve, it’s just the way she has to rub it in I suppose. To be honest, T.C. and her make a good couple, they are the only two that could actually put up with each other.” He said smiling.

“Julian!”

“It’s true, I know you loved T.C., but they deserve each other honey. I don’t know what kind of love they have; I mean they have something, lust, whatever. But a love like ours is so amazing, you can’t even put it into words Eve.” He said kissing her.

“I know.”

“They don’t have the passion, the chemistry, the true love that has stood the test of time like ours Eve. Maybe they will make it, I can’t say they won’t Eve, but now they can’t say anything about us not being married and with child. They are doing the exact same thing, besides at least we were planning our wedding, our darling just arrived a bit early, but it was the best early wedding gift I could ever have.” He said smiling at Ashtyn.

“Speaking of weddings, we should talk about it.” Eve said.

“Sure.”

“When do we want to have it because I do still want to get married Julian.”

“I know Eve, me too, it would be a dream come true for me, I love you so much. In all honesty, it doesn’t matter honey, whenever you are ready, we can still have it just like we planned, to have something small even. I will be happy regardless, now that I am a father, I can’t wait to be your husband.” He said touching her hand.

“We should get married very soon I think.”

“Are you up to it Eve?” he said looking at the baby.

“Oh yes of course, we have to Julian, I want us to be married for Ashtyn’s sake, it would only be right.”

“Well, how about in a few weeks or so, would you like that Eve? I mean it can be something simple, that doesn’t take a ton of preparations, believe me, I had my fill of fancy weddings, I want something very small this time. To be standing there with you, exchanging vows that is all I need Eve, just to know that we will profess our true love to one another. Unless you really do want something large, I can assist in arranging that.”

“No, I just want to get married, who needs all that fancy crap Julian, we love each other, we love Ashtyn and that is all that matters. So yes, a few weeks sounds great.” She said smiling.

That evening when they put Ashtyn down for the night, Eve lay in bed, still feeling a tad uncomfortable as she was working hard to get her figure completely back. Julian slipped into bed next to her, snuggling close to his future wife. He stroked her hair and when Eve clued into what he was up to, she shook her head.

“What’s the matter honey?”

“I don’t think we should Julian.”

“Why?”

“Well, I don’t exactly feel very desirable lately.”

“Oh Eve, you are beautiful, you always will be in my eyes.”

“Well, the last time we did, it was kind of difficult for me.”

“Oh God, did I hurt you?” he said quite upset.

“No, not at all, it’s just that it’s hard to feel sexy after having the baby. I was glad we did, but I still didn’t feel all that.., I don’t know.”

“Eve, you look incredible, you really do, I am so attracted to you, so turned on, don’t ever think that I’m not. I love you so much.” Julian said kissing her cheek.

“Oh Julian.”
