She smiled at him; he could see the wheels turning from the expression on her face. He loved making her happy, and that was in any way, emotionally, physically. Julian adored Eve so much that he would do anything for her and their baby girl. He knew that in the passing years, she did love T.C., but he knew all along that the love she had for him wasn’t anything like the love they shared for one another, it never included such excitement like they had. It was certainly love, or so Eve thought, but Julian was the man in her heart. Eve would never forget her daughters though; she loved Whitney and Simone very much and just because she was now Mrs. Crane, didn’t mean she was any less their mother than before. Julian was intent on providing support to them, even if T.C. had a word or two to say about that. It didn’t matter to Julian, he was now her husband, for better or for worse and he had to be a father figure to her girls as well as his own children.
“You’re right, I am thinking about last night.” She said getting out of bed and standing behind him, to rub his shoulders.

“Oh darling, if you keep that up, we may never leave this hotel room today.” He said, knowing it didn’t take much to excite him.

“Yes, I know how the Crane mind works, so perhaps we should start getting ready and venture out for the day.” She said kissing him gently on the neck.

“You do know me very well my dear.”

When they were showered and dressed for another day, Julian sat on the edge of the bed for a moment and took out his cell phone.

“You have a call to make?” Eve asked.

“Yes honey, just a minute.”

Julian flipped open the phone and dialed the number.

“Sheridan, how’s my angel?” he asked.

Eve smiled, loving that he had taken the initiative to check on their daughter this time.

“She is fine Julian, she is a wonderful and loving baby. You should see how well she takes to Luis, they are having a ball together.”

“That’s wonderful, I knew you two were the perfect babysitters.”

“You are gone another few days?” she asked.

“Well, of course, we would love to stay for a longer period of time, but I know that Ashtyn’s mommy misses her very much.” He said touching Eve’s cheek.

“Only Eve?” Sheridan asked.

“No of course not, I miss her very much too, but we will enjoy the rest of our honeymoon, believe me.” Julian said smiling at Eve.

“I am sure Sheridan doesn’t need to know the details of our honeymoon.” Eve said softly.

“Well anyway, thanks for taking her, we really appreciate it Sheridan, we will see you soon, I love you.”

“I love you too Julian and your welcome.”

“You know, I am so ecstatic that you and Sheridan have such a great relationship now Julian.”

“We have to Eve, make a fresh start in life and make up for lost time. Not to mention that I want her to have happiness in her life and she has that with Luis.”

“Yes she does.” Eve said touching his hand.

“Well anyway, let’s go honey.” He said taking her by the hand to help her up.

“I’m ready.”

Julian opened the door and when they went into the hallway, he took Eve into his arms and kissed her quite fervently, not caring that there were people walking by.

“Julian, you keep those hormones in check or I will get the hose and I truly mean that.”

“Promise?” he said laughing.

“Let’s go before someone tells us to get a room.”

“We have one, let’s cancel our plans and make love all day instead.”

She took him by the hand, pulling him down the hall.

“Oooo, you are getting so forward and demanding, I love it.” He said grinning.

“Anyway, what are we going to do today?”

“Hey, how about the casino, I heard that’s pretty good.”

“Gambling Julian?”

“Why not Eve, it will be fun, we won’t go overboard or anything, but we have to try out the different things in Niagara Falls. I could have said let’s go to Hooters.”

“Julian Crane!”

“Honey, I was thinking of you when I said that.”

“So now you think I am qualified as a hooter girl?”

“No, no, oh God, I just put my foot in my mouth didn’t I?”

“Yes.” She said smiling.

“I mean, I think you would look amazing in one of those tops they wear.”

“So you have been there before?” Eve said, giving him the look.

“Um, no, I saw an ad in a magazine.”

“Yeah sure.” She said laughing.

“Anyway, you my Eve, my beautiful wife in a tight top and…oh my God, mental picture, quick back to the room.” He said taking her hand.

“Okay, you had you’re fun, the casino it is.” She said smiling.

Julian and Eve walked down Clifton Hill; looking at some of the items people had in hand, some things being the usual cheesy Niagara Falls t-shirts or whatever to say I went to the city, look at me.

“People will buy the stupidest things, look at that boomerang with Niagara Falls on it, like they are ever going to use that.” Julian said shaking his head.

“Hon, you are a tourist too remember? You never know what kind of purchases you will make now will you?” she said squeezing his hand.

“What the hell do I need with a boomerang? So exciting to throw it and watch it come back, who cares?”

“Kids like those kinds of things too.”

“Kids, my God, Ashtyn, honey, what are we going to get our baby? I am going to have to buy something with Niagara Falls on it after all for her room. Then she will know her mommy and daddy went here. I want to take her here some day Eve.”

“I am sure she would like that, but you’re right, we need to get her something.”

As they continued on their leisurely walk, trying to avoid walking into other tourists, Julian noticed a store and went inside. She watched him as his eyes scanned for something for their little girl.

“Eve, look at this.” He said motioning for her to come over.

“Yes?”

“Honey look at this teddy bear with a Niagara Falls shirt, wouldn’t she love this?” he said smiling as he held it up.

“Julian, I think you have become quite the teddy bear yourself being a dad.”

“I love it Eve, I know it’s not the first time I have ever been one, but I do want to do it right with her, she is so precious.”

“I know Julian, you have been great.”

Julian purchased it and when they reached the casino, Eve was amazed at how it was inside, rather noisy, but nice nonetheless.

“Wow, a little Vegas.” Julian said rubbing his hands together.

“You said you aren’t going to go overboard, remember?” Eve said trying to be the voice of reason.

“I know sweetie, I will be a good boy.” He said kissing her cheek.

Eve sat down next to Julian at a blackjack table, gambling wasn’t really her thing, but she was willing to compromise, after all he was her husband. After a while, Julian convinced her to try her hand at the slots. He watched Eve’s expression as she pulled the lever, hope in her eyes that perhaps she might get lucky. Time after time, she put in more tokens, only playing twenty-five cent slots. She was finally down to her last one, when the numbers went up and up.

“Julian, look!” Eve said excited.

“Sweetheart, that’s three hundred dollars, that’s wonderful, are you going to go on?” He said leaning over from the chair to give her a warm hug.

“No, that’s enough, I am surprised I got this.” She said, collecting the coins as they fell out.

“You made more than me, maybe I should bring you to the roulette table and you can be my good luck charm.” He said smiling.

“I think we should quit now, all in good fun right Julian?”

“Yes my love.”

Eve cashed in her tokens, still finding it hard to believe she had won anything. She was certainly having a good time. He took Eve by the hand and they walked outside, along the path of interlocking bricks.

“So Mrs. Crane, since you are winner, I expect that you will be paying for dinner?”

“Oh really?” Eve said.

“I am kidding honey, you enjoy your winnings.” He said squeezing her around the waist.

“Our winnings Mr. Crane.” She said kissing him on the cheek.

“Yes, our winnings, where to now sweetie?” Julian asked.

“Well, I don’t know really, I’m so hot.”

“That you are my love.” He said winking.

“What I meant by that is it’s rather humid out, let’s go sit under that bench in the park there.”

“Okay Eve, now wait here, I will be a moment.”

A few minutes later, he returned with a couple of sundaes from Dairy Queen.

“Here you go, I will take the butterscotch one, I know how much you like your chocolate, it’s so sweet, just like you.”

“Thanks Julian.”

Eve took a spoonful and then fed him one.

“Don’t give me any ideas here Eve.” He said winking.

“Get your mind out of the gutter for two minutes, will you?”

“Nope, can’t do it.” Julian said laughing.

After they finished them, they boarded the people mover and ventured farther up the Niagara Parkway. The tour guide talked about the many sights along the way and when he mentioned the Gorge, both Julian and Eve were intrigued.

“The Gorge?” Julian asked.

“It’s a nature trail that goes along the water’s edge.”

“Oh that’s sounds really lovely.” Eve said.

“There is a set of stairs to get down there and then you are free to walk, within guidelines of course.” The man said.

“You want to do that Eve?”

“We should Julian.”

When they found out where it was, Julian looked at the first metal step down.

“This will be quite the walk, glad I didn’t wear my heels.” He said laughing.

“Very funny Mr. Crane, as I know you are referring to mine. I have comfortable shoes on, so we are good.” Eve said.

He helped her down the many steps, which led to the main trail. The area was very shaded, lots of trees which was great, considering Niagara Falls was known for it’s humid summer days. They were many trails to venture off to. There were a number of people down there and they followed the signs, picking one to take.

“Um, Julian?”

“Yes, my love?”

“I don’t mind nature, but if something moves when it shouldn’t, you just better be strong enough to carry me.” She said laughing.

“Sweetheart, I would carry you forever, I will protect you.” He said, squeezing her hand tightly.
