Schemes Of Deception - Chapter 27 The Family Fued

Julian sighed. It was driving him half insane
wondering if Eve was alright, but he knew that Eve
and T.C. should explain to Whitney together that
their marraige was over before he and Rebecca joined
in.

Rebecca hoped for T.C.'s sake that Whitney wouldn't
take things as hard as Simone did, T.C. had been
completely crushed when Simone had been so mad she
couldn't even stay in the house that night and
went straight to Tabitha's with Kay. She suddenly
felt ashamed for the scene she had caused with
Theresa, it couldn't have made things any easier.
Rebecca also realized that being part of a step family
might not be as easy as she thought. It would
definitely take some getting used to. Her relationship
with Gwen was far from perfect, so she didn't know
how to be there for T.C. right now, she was starting
to feel like the odd person out.

"Oh my God," Whitney said, starting to cry. Eve
started to cry.

"Whitney, I don't know how but everything is going
to be alright. Your father and I might not be together
anymore-" Eve's voice disappeared into sobs and she
couldn't say anymore.

"But we both still love you and Simone, and just
because we're not together and we're with other
people now- well, we're still a family, no matter
what." T.C. said.

"Daddy how can you say that?" Whitney asked. "You're
not together- this is all my fault isn't it?"

"Whitney-" Eve and T.C. said.

"You've both been having problems since I chose
to give up tennis and come out here with Chad-"
Whitney said.

"Whitney, we had started to get things back on
track, but everything happened so sudden. None of
this was your fault." T.C. said. Eve started to
explain her past with Julian. Whitney slapped her!

"How could you keep this from me and Simone?"
Whitney asked. "We have a brother out there somewhere
and we never even knew it."

"Whitney please just listen to me-" Eve said. Julian
couldn't stand to stay out of it any longer, it
was tearing him up inside hearing Eve so upset.

"Oh gee, what do you two have to say?" Whitney asked,
glaring at them.

"Whitney, please listen to your mother- it was very
hard for her to explain everything." Julian said.

"Yeah, Julian is right, Whitney," Rebecca said. "Everything
just happened so sudden and-" Whitney cut Rebecca off.

"Whatever you have to say, I don't want to hear it.
You know what? Theresa was right about you." Whitney
glared at the four of them. "I hope you all go to hell."
Whitney stormed off.

"Whitney!" Eve yelled.

"I'll go talk to her," T.C. said.

"I think Whitney probably needs to be alone right
now," Fox said.

"I'll go check on her," Theresa volunteered. Fox
pulled Theresa aside.

"Theresa, I think Whitney really needs to be alone.
Hearing about fate is only going to make this even
harder for her to understand," Fox advised.

"Fate had nothing to do with this," Rebecca said
grimly, she knew that everyones decisions would have
a big impact on the Russell family, but she didn't
think that Eve and T.C.'s daughters would actually
turn on them.

"Oh, so you admit to being a man stealer family
ruiner?" Theresa asked.

"That wasn't fair," T.C. said.

"If I would have stood up to my father all those years
ago we wouldn't be in this terrible mess right now,"
Julian said guiltily. Julian put his arms around Eve.

Rebecca tried to comfort T.C., but he pushed her
away.

"T.C.- I was just trying to-" Rebecca said.

"What make things worse like you did when you picked
a fight with my daughters best friend when you knew
we were going to have to tell her the truth about
all of this?" T.C. asked.

"T.C-" Rebecca said.

"Look, just go." T.C. said. T.C. sighed in frustration.

"We'll talk later, but right now- I don't even want
to look at you." T.C. said.

Rebecca went back to the apartment.

"I really did just make things worse," Rebecca
realized. T.C. was furious with her when she
wanted to be there for her, all because of some
fight she had with Theresa.

Later, T.C. had shown up at the apartment and
apologized to Rebecca.

"Are you alright?" T.C. asked. Rebecca looked at
him, not sure how to tell him.

"T.C, I think we should break up," Rebecca said.

"What- why?" T.C. asked in confusion.

"T.C., I love you so much, but we're just so
different. Maybe everyone was right, maybe I
really can't change and all I know how to do
is make trouble." Rebecca said.

"Rebecca-" T.C. said.

"T.C, I'm so sorry, but you deserve someone better,"
Rebecca said. Rebecca left.

Later, she was sitting at a bar, wondering how
things could have possibly gotten that bad. She
was so miserable she hadn't even bothered ordering
anything. Just as Rebecca was getting ready to give
her order to the bartender, Julian sat down beside
her.

"You should give your relationship with T.C. another
chance," Julian said. Rebecca looked over, not
seeing him sit down.

"I just turn everything into a disaster," Rebecca
said. Julian asked her why she had broken things off.

"T.C. deserves someone who can actually be there for
him," Rebecca said.

"T.C. loves you," Julian said.

"Julian, I know you're just trying to help, but
how can I be good for him if I can't even be a good
mother to Gwen- I mean no matter what I do she
still doesn't have Ethan back," Rebecca said. "Everything
I try always backfires," Rebecca said.

"Just go talk to T.C," Julian said. "Give things
a second chance." Julian said. When Rebecca's drink
came, Julian pulled it away before she could pick
it up. "This won't make things any easier," Julian
said. "I'll take you back to the apartments so
you and T.C. can talk this out," Julian said. Rebecca
looked down guiltily, she knew there was no way of
getting out of this. She wanted to be with T.C.
right now and for everything to be like it was, but
things had just gotten so out of control earlier.
Later, Julian and Rebecca had arrived at the apartments.
Rebecca thanked Julian for talking
some sense into her and went to look for T.C.
Julian went to find Eve.
