Schemes Of Deception - Chapter 32

Alastair watched Julian pace around his library
in frustration. Eve was watching him pace back
and forth.
"I hate to see you torture yourself like this, Julian,"
Eve said. Alastair had finally had enough.
He called Julian on speaker phone.

"Yes out with it you halfwit!" Alastair barked.

"Don't you berate Julian like that!" Eve said.

"Let me guess- you're going to tell me what you
wish you would have told me years ago." Alastair
said.

"Yes. Father, Eve and I are engaged." Julian said.

"Well congratulations- I'm sure the two of you
will have a wonderful life when you're completely
broke and living in the cheapest apartment complex
in Harmony." Alastair said sarcastically. Julian
didn't let Alastair rattle him.

"You know what father? I could be happy anywhere as
long as I was with Eve." Julian said. "I just resent
the fact that it took me all these years to realize
that."

"Well good for you," Alastair said. "I'll get to
work deciding on my new heir to the Crane fortune
because you're not getting a dime."

"That is just fine with me," Julian said.

"Keep your money," Eve said to Alastair. Alastair
ended the call and watched Eve and Julian throw
their arms around each other.

"Not only that, I will make your life a living hell,"
Alastair said. Alastair used a cigarette lighter
to burn a wallet sized picture of Julian. He found
a picture of Eve and burned it as well. "I also have
plans for T.C. and Rebecca as well." Alastair said.
The door creaked open.

"I'm here for my instructions, Mr. Crane." A woman's
voice said.

"By any means necessecary," Alastair said coldly.

"We did it!" Julian said. "Father disinherited me
and left me without a cent but we don't need
that money anyways!" Julian said. Eve and Julian
made love in the library.

A few hours later after Julian had packed the things
that he was allowed to take with them and enough
money to get by for a while, Eve and Julian had
gone on a drive.

"So, what is this surprise?" Eve asked. Julian looked
over and smirked.

"Eve, dear, I see you trying to peek through your
blindfold," Julian said. Eve laughed.

"Julian, don't keep me in suspense," Eve begged. Julian
stopped the car. Eve removed the blindfold.

"Julian why are we here?" Eve asked. Julian smiled.

"This is our new home," Julian said.

"Oh Julian!" Eve said happily. Julian and Eve went
inside. "This house is just amazing!" Eve said.

T.C. and Rebecca had arrived home from Los Angeles.

"Daddy I'm moving out," Whitney said, carrying a
suitcase.

"What?" T.C. exclaimed.

"Daddy I need to get out on my own," Whitney said.

"But what about tennis?" T.C. asked.

"Daddy. I can still focus on tennis but I just need
my own space right now." Whitney explained.

T.C. had tried to talk to Whitney, but when she
heard Rebecca coming towards the room, she left
without saying another word.

"What was that all about?" Rebecca asked as she
heard the door slam.

"Whitney moved out," T.C. said, not thrilled with
his daughters decision. Rebecca felt guilty that
T.C.s family had been falling apart. T.C. and
Eve were still on good terms but Whitney and
Simone weren't handling Eve's engagement to Julian
and her relationship with T.C. too well.
