Today was ok.

Subject: Bad Day to be a Kay Fan

It’s hard being a Kay fan. The huge waste of not only the character’s potential, but Deanna’s, being wasted on this ridiculous ‘ I love Miguel’ storyline, makes things bad.

But, some days are worse than others.

This is one of those days.

All Kay thinks about is Miguel. She went into the fires of Hell to help HIM. And, what happens when she’s dangling over an abyss, inches from falling to her death?

Miguel doesn’t give a rat’s ass.

Oh, I know he came back, and went down to get her.

But, look at his first reaction.

He doesn’t KNOW where Charity is. But, he can SEE that Kay is NEAR DEATH.

And, his FIRST reaction is to leave her there.

Thank goodness for Jessica and Reese, who refused to leave Kay there.

Not only did he have to be convinced to help Kay, but, he was like, ‘ if this takes too long, we’ll come back and get her.’

HUH?

It was enough to make this Kay fan throw something at the TV.

Reese, Reese, Reese.

You may be a geek, but, you’ve got heart. I loved that he wasn’t going to leave Kay, and that he found a way to help Miguel rescue Kay. He was so hurt to see that Kay was SO grateful to Miguel once they got back to the surface. I think this might be the first time that he’s been clued in about Kay’s feelings for Miguel. Yet, I think he wants to stay in denial for awhile longer.

Kay was SO happy that Miguel rescued her. Simone tried to tell her about how they had to convince him to help her, but, she’s not listening. Oh Kay, how I wish you WOULD listen. That much devotion to someone who would let you hang off of a cliff; it’s pitiful. I don’t even care about Kay’s schemes anymore. It’s just sad watching her love someone who has such little disregard for her.

I was discussing with someone else about the complete patheticness of the teens on Passions, and this person believes that Kay is Passions’ Sami Brady, while Charity and Miguel are supposed to be Carrie and Austin. IN THEORY, that might be true. But, JER has a few problems in this re-run:
Charity and Miguel have NO chemistry (unlike Carrie and Austin)
KAY and Miguel are the ones with the chemistry (unlike Sami and Austin)

So, even while I enjoyed Sami winning a few rounds, here and there, I always rooted for Carrie and Austin, because they were the ones so obviously in love.

JER has tried to foist upon us, since 2.2 seconds after Charity and Miguel have met, that they aren’t just teen loves: they’re soulmates, and he had the nerve to bring up past lives on the Titanic, to sell this swill.

Nothing can sell this story, when the couple in WUV don’t have 2 ounces of chemistry between them, and the BAD girl does have chemistry with the ‘Hero.’

This problem has not been corrected, and it’s why this story, or non-story, is a lemon. If I ‘saw’ this undying WUV between Charity and Miguel, instead of them boring me senseless, then maybe I could cheer when Kay’s plans fail. I just want Kay AWAY from this idiotic mess. After today, I can’t remotely be supportive of Kayguel. I never thought Miguel was good enough for Kay, but, I somewhat supported it because Kay wanted him, and the actors have chemistry. But, his display of non-affection for Kay took the cake.

Subject: Welcome Back TC!! And, a Hurricane’s Coming to Harmony

The Adults are at the Church, and Pilar and Eve comment on the storm that has come out of nowhere. They compare the storm to David Hastings.

Hank is trying to get Sam and Grace to realize what they have together. Their love, and their family, and pleads with them to remember what they mean to one another. Sam says that he doesn’t think he knows Grace anymore, but, they don’t get to continue the conversation because TC is back!

Welcome back, TC!! I missed him.

He tells everyone about the Hurricane coming. Eve asks about the kids, and TC explains that Simone’s cellphone is out of reach, and tells them of the boat being missing, as well as the boat captain that Norma tied up.

Grace turns to Sam and tells him to help the kids, and he tells her that everything is going to be OK. The kids are trained in camping, so they should be able to know what to do to ride out the storm.

Hank takes the time to  lecture David some more. He can see who Grace turned to when she heard about the storm: Sam. That their love is very strong, and that he should leave  them alone. David offers to help, but, Sam doesn’t want to hear about it.

TC decides that someone needs to go get the kids, and he’s going out to rescue them. Eve and Pilar decide to go to the Hospital, and Ivy tells Sam and Grace that she thinks David is right: they need all the help that they can get during the storm. Sam and Grace give in.

Savy and Gravid in the same place….ALONE.

Hmmmmm….has possibilities.

Dare I hope for Naked Sam while he does some heroic thing during the Hurricane? LOL

Subject: Bermuda Bermuda….LOL

I had heard from others how bad today was going to be.

It was ridiculous, but, I RME so much, I was numb to the idiocy.

There was the idiocy upstairs, where Woody and Soon Yi were in bed together. It was another day of: this is a Slimy Train Wreck, yet I can’t look away cause Ben Masters is THAT Good.

Julian, slobbering, lusting, slithering over a zonked out Theresa. The monologues that he does for himself were disgusting and hilarious, as he bragged about knowing how to satisfy a woman. Or, that he’s been married, and had great passion, but, didn’t know that the two could go together. He’s on a roll, and thinks he’s about to score with his bride, and doesn’t seem to want to heed warnings: first from Bruce, yesterday, and now, Whitney today. No, Julian is too happy. He’s about to ‘satisfy’ his bride, and nothing is going to stop him.

Well, maybe SOMETHING will. Like, the folks downstairs. This conversation downstairs was so off the wall and bizarre, all you could do is LYAO at it. It was funny to hear Luis tell Rebecca that he never thought ANYONE deserved to be with Julian, but, she is the one. I thought Luis having this conversation was ridiculous. The only words out of his mouth should have been ‘Sheridan Sheridan Sheridan’. To get bogged down in this ridiculousness was pathetic.

Rebecca and Gwen insist that Theresa is with Julian. They know that Julian’s with some ‘sweet young thing’, and Theresa is missing, so they conclude that she’s there with Julian. Ethan and Luis thinks it’s the most ridiculous thing they’ve ever heard. Rebecca says that Theresa decided to get her hooks into Julian when she found out that Ethan was dead. Luis says that Theresa would never be alone with Julian. Ethan insists that they’d be together only in public places. That she knows better. Chad is the only one observing that Whitney is keeping her mouth shut, and asks her if she knows anything about Theresa’s whereabouts. Whitney says that Ethan will know soon enough.

Rebecca cracks me up because she’s very blunt. She doesn’t care if Julian IS with another young woman. He can be with 2 dozen of them – as long as he marries HER. Her goal is clear. But, she crossed the line when she said that if Theresa is upstairs with Julian, that she initiated that. Not even Gwen would believe that. Gwen points out that Julian is a notorious lech.

Luis and Ethan defend Theresa, and Rebecca asks them if they want to go upstairs and see if the dark-haired woman with Julian IS Theresa. And, if she is, then what will the two of them do about it?

They wind up outside of Julian’s door; Luis and Ethan ready to prove Rebecca wrong; Rebecca ready to tear Julian a  new one, and Gwen waiting for Ethan to have to deal with finding Theresa with Julian.
