Today was ok, but, nothing special. RME moments all over the place.

Subject: A BODYBAG IN A HOTEL LOBBY?

I know this is Passions. I know that logic isn’t the bellweather on this show.

But….

A BODYBAG IN A HOTEL LOBBY?

There were so many things wrong with this, the least of which is the distastefulness around  this.

The Army Guy brought the bodybag to the Hotel Lobby so that it could be identified. They offered the chance to Julian, but he declined, and Luis decided to do it, but only after arguing with the Army Guy. He looked at the body and said that it wasn’t Sheridan. The Army Guy asked for more confirmation because he believes that Luis is too emotionally involved, and can’t look at things objectively.

Because of decomposition and the body had been thrashed around in the ocean, there would be difficulty in identifying the body. Everyone else said that they weren’t sure. Luis said that he knew it wasn’t Sheridan, and had come up with a way to prove it: fingerprints and dental records.

Rebecca spent the day looking suspiciously at Julian and Theresa. Rebecca is a Ho, but, she’s a smart Ho, and she’s gonna find out what’s going on between Julian and Theresa. She’s pressuring Julian to marry her, and is wondering what’s going on because he seems too hesitant. Gwen can’t believe that Rebecca still wants to marry Julian, and Rebecca says that of course she does, and the sooner the better.

Of course, there is the little matter of Julian being married to Theresa, and he slithered over to Theresa to remind her to keep her mouth shut.

Subject: The Tripe on Warlock Island

There’s been no movement in two years, so any happenings so far, have meant nothing.

The only truly funny moment of the show is when the Warlocks were teasing Norma with ‘Father’. I’m sick of Norma, but, that was funny.

Norman is battling Warlocks for the privilege of killing Tabby, who is being rescued by Timmy. Timmy gets her out the restraints, and they try to leave the cave, but, Norma finds them.

So, where are the kids?

They’re stuck in a river. All but Charity, who has the privlege of uttering her favorite line of dialogue that she’s continuously done over the past two years:

‘ MIGUEL…MIGUEL…’

Oh man, don’t you love how ALL of them are stuck in there, and all she can call out is Miguel. Sort of reminds me of how Kay was dangling over a ledge, and Miguel’s dumb butt was gonna leave her there, in IMINENT DANGER, while he went to search for Charity.

They are the Teen Suicide Pact of Passions, and no amount of this crappy writing is going to make me believe one iota in the WUV of Miguel and Charity.

The teens, sans Charity, are still in the river at the end of the show, and Charity’s being told by a talking tree that she has the power to save them. Ho hum. A talking tree. Yet another gimmick in this NON-STORY.

Wake me up when this tripe is over.

Subject: David the Manipulator

I wish my man Sam had punched out David, who was clearly doing everything he could to make Sam look bad in Grace’s eyes.

It’s sort of a dark picture that David paints: yes, I’d leave a woman I KNOW is in pain and agony, to go look for my wife, whom I know nothing about her condition.

Cause, if I don’t leave the obviously injured woman, it means that I’m in love with her.

How does Sam counter that? How does Sam counter his willingness to do the basic humanly decent thing?

He wants to pummel David’s face, but, he doesn’t. He knows when he’s being goaded.

Pilar comes to get Sam, ON EVE’S REQUEST, and because Sam is going, THAT is supposed to indicate that he loves Ivy.

Once Sam is gone, David starts in on him, when Grace tries to defend him. He backhands Sam a compliment in one breath and slams him down in the next. He even slides in a slam at Grace’s insecurities, knowing that Ivy is truly the thorn in Grace’s side, by saying that she’s living with a broken heart, and that she’s settling by being with Sam.

Grace…COME ON!!

There are signals all over the place. When a man says that you should have destroyed your family and not given it a second chance…

WAKE UP!

This just goes in concert with the other NON-concern that David has shown for Grace’s Three (count Charity and it’s FOUR) children. His lack of concern about them and their well-being and what that FAMILY must mean to Grace, is another reason why bells should be sounding about the true nature of David’s ‘intent’. He’s spoken too many times about taking Grace FROM Harmony. What does he think is gonna happen with her children?

Grace, stop letting this manipulator use your one true blind spot against you. Step back and realize that this guy isn’t all he seems to be.

Subject: "Medical Science can do nothing more, Sam." – OH PULEEZE

This is under the ‘recycled plots verbatim’ column of Passions.

Woman in serious medical condition, even had surgery, but, the outward physical signs don’t look too bad.

But, Medicine can do nothing for her.

She has to have the ‘WILL TO LIVE’.

And, will only be given that if she is given reason to by ‘the man she WUVS’.

Sam is told by Eve and Pilar that he must convince Ivy to hang around. Talking about their love might help. Sam doesn’t want to do it, but, they tell him that he’s Ivy’s only hope. Do it for Ethan, if you don’t want to do it for Ivy. He loves his mother, Pilar says, laying on the guilt trip.

Of course, Sam agrees to do it.

Blech.
