  “Simone’s new start”

Chapter One
We see Simone quietly, reflecting on her life overlooking the sights of the Harmony Ocean Pacific. As she begins to walk home, from a Midnight movie with friends Jessica, Reese, Kay and recently reunited Charity and Miguel. At home, she glances around at the empty house seeing all of the lights off. She quickly goes upstairs goes up to her room, laying her coat on a chair. She then hops back downstairs for some late night tea. After fixing, her tea she went back upstairs as she did she passed Whitney’s room. Approaching it, she went in as she glances around the room remembers the exact last time she was in the room, was the night she found out about Whitney’s &Chad secret affair. In such a rage, she trashed Whitney’s room with one of her tennis rackets.

It’s no secret that Simone definitely has her father’s outrageous temper but that night totally crushed Simone’s heart, her pride and her respect and trust within her sister was now gone in the process. In her spell, of despair remembering all that happened that night she had to admit to herself that all those months she had fooled herself into thinking that Chad was her “perfect” boyfriend. Soon, she realized that the whole reason why she fell so hard for Chad was that she loved the idea of being in love with someone like many young girls do. Maybe she and Whitney both needed to deal with that aspect of life and love being that they were so sheltered by their parents. The two were raised respectly, and never seemed to ever date even once in high school. Whitney being too busy with tennis and Simone being to involve with her friends.

She then came to the final conclusion that maybe her big infatuation with Chad being her boyfriend was that she finally had something that Whitney didn’t. In Simone’s mind, Whitney being born first was always the apple of her parent’s eye and got all of the attention and glory that was met with being the oldest. While, Simone always was seen as second best, the younger sister who got hand me downs and had to suffer with the hugely smaller room. While, Whitney received the designer sheets and beautiful color scheme Simone got the tiny dorm room scale bedroom.

She soon, just got out of her daze and went back to her own room and to sleep. Later on around four in the morning, she was awaken by a loud thump sound of the front door. It was her parents, Liz and Whitney returning home from a late night at the Blue Note. Wondering, what was going on Simone quickly ran downstairs. What she found were her parents in a huge argument over Whitney’s singing at the Jazz Club and her obvious reluctance to come home. Before making her presence known Simone quietly listened to the latest unravelness of her family.

“ Whitney, why were you up there singing in the first place?” TC asked.
“Daddy, like I told you before I just wanted to go up there!” Whitney explained. “You know, just to have fun and blow of some steam!”
“No, not my little girl, that Chad it’s his fault!!!” “He wanted to trick you, get you drunk and get you to go LA with him.” TC replied
“Daddy stop that!” “How can I explain everything to you whenever all you do is blame Chad for everything!” Whitney exclaimed.
“Well, somebody’s got to be blamed for it!” TC replied yelling

“Liz, please help me here!” Whitney asked.
“TC, please don’t blame Chad I was the one who talked her into going to the Blue Note.” Liz said.
“No I don’t blame you Liz I blame him he wants to destroy my family!” TC replied.
“Look, TC I know that you’re upset about Whitney’s singing at the Blue Note and Chad’s a good kid and my nephew remember!” Liz replies.
“Oh, I’m sorry Liz but in my mind he’s still the cause for all of this!” TC responded
“ Liz, why would you take Whitney into a place like that in the first place?” Eve asked.
“Well, Eve she was all upset and I just thought that some music would cheer her up that’s all.” Liz calmly replied.
“But, why we would never allow our daughter into that sleazy joint!” Eve yelled.
“Why not, Eve I didn’t see anything wrong with it.” “What’s wrong do you have a problem with music?” Liz replied.
“Of course not, I just don’t want my daughters’ around places like that.” “In places like that they meet the wrong kind of people like drug dealers and thugs.”
“Like CHAD!!!” TC chimes in.

“Daddy, please stop referring to Chad like that!” “He’s not a Thug as you call it.” Whitney yelled. “And would you all stop treating me like I’m a child!” “I went up there to sing because I wanted to, no one put a gun to my head especially not Chad.”
“Well, I’m so glad that he will be leaving soon and off to LA!” TC said.
“What’s going on?” Simone asked now downstairs after hearing everything. “And Dad, what did you say about Chad?”
“Oh, sugar bear I’m sorry if we woke you up with this nonsense.” TC said seeing her in her robe.
“Yeah, honey go back to sleep!” “There’s nothing here you need to see.” Eve replied to her.
“But Mommy, what did Dad say about Chad?” Simone asked.
“Well honey Chad’s going to LA for good!” TC said proudly
“What, no!” “No, he can’t be!” “Whitney this is all your fault!” “He’s probably leaving because of you!” Simone yelled to her sister.
“Simone, stop that I’m getting sick and tired of you accusing me of things that I did not do!” “Me and Chad, are together and that’s that!” “And the only reason he’s going to LA is to pursue his music career!” Whitney told her.

Simone was so upset that she couldn’t say anything else and just went back up to bed. She was so furious with Whitney, her parents, everything she just couldn’t take it anymore. Sleeping things through in her mind was her only way of getting through it all. That morning, as she woke an idea came about the “only way for her to get out of this misery would be to move away.” To move completely out of her parents’ house where Whitney was staying. She felt a little weary of the idea at first. She had always been so shelter and protected in her parents home and leaving the place that you’ve always known and called home for eighteen years is tough. So, instead she kept her idea in the back of her mind for now.

But that morning being around the house with her parents and Whitney screaming at each other was no picnic it was actually torture. For weeks, it went on and on like this either there was utter complete silence in the house where no one would speak to each other or petty arguments would combust through out the house between her parents or sister against sister.
Each time, Simone would get into another argument with Whitney or some else in the house she would think about moving out again. Finally, she could stand no more already enrolled at Harmony University she decided to fill out a request to live in one of the dorms at school. Soon, after a while of waiting a room became available. But she still hadn’t told her family of her new found plans to leave.

Later, during another World War 3 explosion at the Russell house. Simone just yelled “ That’s it I’ve had enough of this!” “I’m moving out!”
Everyone looked at her in shock and quickly began expressing that their family could get through their problems and that there was no need for her to go. But it was too late Simone’s mind was made up, like that of her father she shared his stubbornness and fiery temper.

Later on, that night Simone could be found packing up her things for school. She had to be packed by the end of the week in order to move into the dorms. Soon, there was a knock at her bedroom door a heartfelt Whitney stood outside the doorway. “Simone, can I come in?” she asked softly.
“Alright, fine” Simone replied. Whitney entered.
“Um, hey. . Simone.” “Look, I know that you really hate me right now.” “But I beg you please don’t leave home because of my involvement with Chad.” Whitney begged.
“Well, Whitney you’re too late!” “You’ve ruined my life enough with your lies and backstabbing!” “We are no longer sisters, so there’s definitely no reason to be around you in the same house as you.” “I’m leaving and you can have Mom and Dad all to yourself like you’ve always wanted!” Simone yelled at her.
“Simone please, don’t be like that!” Whitney begged. “Come on, just stay home with your family okay.”
“For what there’s nothing here for me.” “You took Chad from me, and you always had Mom and Dad wrapped around your finger with those damn tennis medals, so what else is left for me here Whitney?” “What!?!” “Tell me, now so I don’t have to bear anymore pain from you!” “Me, leaving is my only way out here!” Simone told her.

“Okay, Simone look you want me to see it.” “Well, I do I’ve been a terrible big sister and okay I have gotten all the glory and praise from Mom and Dad but at what cost?” “My freedom, my own right to make decisions about my life and you.” “My own little sister!” Whitney announced.
“But, what you fail to see here is that not only are you hurting me and yourself by leaving.” “You will be breaking Mom and Dad’s heart!” “Simone, you are special to them.” “You’re their little girl, their baby and if you leave you will be breaking their hearts!” Whitney explained.

“Well, I think that you’ve done that great all by yourself!” Simone yelled.
“Come on, Simone please listen to reason?” Whitney asked
“Look get out Whitney, now!” “ I’m so sick of you!” “Go!” Simone yells

Whitney sadly, leaves the room and finds her Mother in the hallway.
“So, honey did you talk to Simone?” Eve asked.
“Yeah just she just won’t listen to reason.” Whitney said.
“Well, maybe she just needs to blow off some steam.” “We’ll talk to her again tomorrow!” Eve said calmly.

The next morning, Simone’s parents still try to reason with her not to go. But she still doesn’t listen and tells them that she’s leaving anyway. The week goes on, and Simone leaves for the campus dorms. Not knowing what to except as she first sets foot on the campus grounds she feels very lonely and scared wondering if she’s made the right decision. But she puts those fears behind her and thinks at least now she’s away from her parents arguing, her sister and her first love Chad. Now, she was allowed more time to focus on her studies. She secretly wanted to be a Doctor like her mother or something else wonderful. Now, independent it was all up to her . . .Finally!
