Ch.22-What's this feeling
 

Theresa and Chad’s eyes continued to be glued to each other. Pilar looked down at Kendra’s who’s little face only showed confusion.
"Grandma what are they doing?" Kendra whispered pointing her little finger toward her Aunt and Chad.
Pilar bent down to Kendra’s level "Your Mama and Daddy used to look at each other like that." She smiled.
Kendra looked at her grandma and smiled big. "Oh. Neat." She giggled.

Theresa blinked and blushed, "Chad would you like come in?"
"Sure if we’ve got time." Chad said feeling his knees going weak.
"Chad you look very handsome." Pilar complemented.
"Thank you. And I’m glad to see you smiling." Chad told her.
"You just take care of my Theresa tonight." Pilar smiled.
"Mama you have my phone number right? "
"Yes Theresa. Go have fun." Pilar instructed.
"Oh, and Matthew’s tooth is finally breaking skin, I don’t know why but he likes ice on his tooth, just rub it for a second though. Oh and I’m sure he won’t go asleep, in fact none of us have slept much this week." Theresa rambled.
"Theresa you go have fun with Chad. I raised all my children just fine I think I can handle my grandchildren." Pilar told her, with a stern face.
"I’m sorry mama. " Theresa said bending down to Kendra. "You be good for grandma Pilar. "
"I will."
"I love you Kenji and I’ll kiss you tonight when I get home."
"OK Aunt Resa." Kendra said hugging her aunt.
"Now you two go." Pilar commanded.
"Yes ma’am." Theresa smiled looking up at Chad, whose eyes had focused back on her.
"If your ready." Chad smiled taking Theresa’s arm. "We’ll go now."
"Well then, lets go." Theresa said with a uneasy laugh.

Sitting in Chad’s car Theresa looked down, what was going on with her? All these weird uncontrollable feelings.
"Want some music?" Chad asked.
"Huh what?" Theresa asked turning to look at him.
"I asked if you wanted the radio on." Chad smiled.
"Oh yeah. That would be fine." Theresa nodded. Did he really have to smile at her like that? Make her stomach turn like that? She hadn’t felt like this is a while, this feeling what was it? But she had felt it once. Theresa’s eyes got wide. She had felt this way about Ethan, but not this strong, not like her head was going to pop and her hands were going to sweat off. No this was very different. Was she falling for Chad? Could it be?
"Theresa wanta tell me what’s wrong?" Chad asked. ‘Maybe she can tell me why I’m so nervous’ he thought glancing over at her.
"Nothing really. Just tired I guess." She said looking out the window.
"You sure? You know you can tell me anything." Chad told her.
"I know, but I’m fine Chad. "
‘He’s so sweet. So caring.’ She thought looking over at him. ‘Why does he have to be so wonderful’. Her mind whirled.
Chad just drove not knowing what to say. This was his friend he was thinking about, and besides he wasn’t ready to date anyone. Not after his past relationships. No it was just all the hanging out. That had to be it. Didn’t it?

Miguel opened the door for Gwen and she stepped out. "Ready to turn heads kid?" She grinned.
"Hey who you calling a kid? I see nothing about this body that says kid." Miguel smiled.
Gwen looked him up and down them winked. "Good point my little stud."
Miguel laughed. "You know your going to fall madly in love with me right?" He teased.
Gwen lifted her and put it on Miguel’s cheek. "In love with your body, maybe. In love with you? Keep dreaming baby boy." She said with a chuckle.
"Oh you want me. You know you do." Miguel laughed taking her arm. "Shall we?"
"Yes. Let’s go start a few rumors in this town." Gwen giggled.
"You know I could feel used." Miguel said in a fake whimper.
"But you don’t?" Gwen questioned.
Miguel winked. "With my looks? Are you kidding? What woman wouldn’t want to use me? It’s just part of the price I pay looking this good."
"Gwen, Miguel?" A astonished voice sounded behind them. As they turned around they both smiled as they faced Ethan.
"Let the games begin." Gwen whispered as she moved in closer to Miguel.

"Darling, I believe we should take things slow. Perhaps we should date." Julian suggested as he and Ivy pulled up to the large building the party was being held in.
"Date? You would do that?" Ivy asked flattered.
"Of course. I think it could be fun. A way to get to know each other." Julian said smiling at her.
"Julian I’d love that. After all, all we’ve ever done is fought, this could be interesting. " Ivy gushed touching his hand.
"So we’re really going to do this? And do it right this time."
"Yes Julian, we’ll do it right this time. This is the beginning for a new life for us isn’t it?" Ivy asked.
Julian nodded. "Yes dear, I believe it is. "
"So how do you think everyone will react? This will be a huge surprise to everyone, our family will be shocked." Ivy noted.
"I think they will all be delighted. After all, we are already married." Julian chuckled.
"Yes that is true."
"Ivy you are one woman I’ve always wanted to know better. But I suppose my stubborn pride stopped me." Julian admitted.
"We both were. But that was then Julian. As we said this is a new start. The past can just be forgotten."
Julian took Ivy’s hand in his. "Then let’s begin tonight." He said as he opened his car door.
"Yes lets." She smiled.

Theresa looked at Chad and smiled, "Hey Chad, you sure your feeling all right?"
"Yeah Resa, I’m tired to." He told her.
"Well I’m sure tonight will be a good break for both of us then."
Chad nodded. "Yeah I guess it will be."
Theresa laughed feeling calmer. "I’ve been around children so much lately, hanging out with grown ups seems almost odd."
Chad smiled, "Get used to it." He answered looking back over at her as their eyes locked again.
"Hey Chad." Theresa laughed nervously. "I think you pasted the party."
Chad blushed. "Oh." He said shaking his head.
