Julian pulled Eve along as they made it over to the window he and Fox climbed through. He looked over his shoulder to see Fox and Devin carrying Claude over towards the window as well.

“We have a problem.” Julian said.

“I know. We can’t carry him through the window like this. We have to find another way out of here.” Fox said.

“Mom and dad. The two of you go and get help. We’ll stay here.” Devin said.

“I’m not leaving either you here alone. We’re all leaving together.” Eve said in a serious tone.

Claude moaned again as he opened his eyes. He blinked his eyes once more until he could finally see where he was. He noticed that a man has holding Eve by the hand, then looked to both sides of him and found Devin and this other man holding him up before dropping his head.

“What’s going on here? Who are these two men Eve?” he moaned.

Eve walked over to him to check his wound.

“Melissa tried to kill us.”

“I remember that, but you still didn’t answer my other question. Who are these two men?”

“Julian and Fox Crane.”

Claude’s head suddenly snapped up to look at Eve.

“Alistair’s boy and grandson?”

Eve nodded.

“I see…” he mumbled.

“We have to get you out of here before Melissa finds us.”

“She’s not going to run me out of my own house!” Claude sneered.

“You’ll bleed to death if we don’t get you out of here!” She sneered back.

“I’m not leaving. If it’s my time to go, then so be it.” He huffed.

Eve’s mouth dropped open. She couldn’t believe this, this man was so stubborn and it wasn’t even funny.

“You’re not going anywhere!”

Everyone froze in place, and when they turned around, they all gasped in shock at the person who was standing behind them with a gun pointed in their direction.

“What are you doing here?!” Julian said.

“That’s none of your damn business!”

Eve looked as if she was about to faint. This couldn’t be happening…

“Why the shocked look Eve?”

“What’s the meaning of this…TC?”

TC smirked evilly, then walked a bit closer.

“It’s simple… I work for the Knight syndicate. Almost thirty years to be exact.”

“No…”

“Yes. You see, I was sent to make you fall in love with me. And it actually worked. Not only did you fall in love with me, you even had my children.”

Claude looked at Eve then to TC.

“Who gave you the order to this?”

“You did.” TC said.

“That’s impossible!”

“Why?”

“I lost track of Eve after she lost her son.”

“What?”

TC looked confused.

“But she said that you told her to tell me to make Eve fall in love with me.”

“I did no such thing!” Claude shouted.

“He’s telling the truth lover.” Melissa said as she came out of nowhere.

TC turned around and found Melissa standing by the wall with her arm across her stomach and her gun pointed at him.

“What’s the meaning of this Melissa?!” TC shouted.

“I made you woo my sister TC.”

“Eve is your sister?! Since when?”

“It doesn’t matter. You were supposed to keep her away from Julian Crane but you failed. Even after you married her and started a family with her, you couldn’t keep her away from him.”

“Even though Eve gave me kids, you know that I have always loved you.” TC said to her.

It felt like someone had punched her in the stomach and knocked all of the air out of her lungs. TC worked for the syndicate! Even though they were married, he had been cheating on her with Melissa for over twenty years?! Twenty years! And he even slept with Liz. Eve felt like she was going to vomit.

‘Talk about keeping it all in the family.’ Julian thought bitterly.

“You and Melissa? And you and Liz? You nasty sonofab*tch!” Eve spat.

“What are you talking about?!” TC asked.

“You’ve slept with three sisters…three!”

TC rolled his eyes.

“I didn’t know that Liz or Melissa were your sisters!”

“If you wanted to be with her so much, then why did you have children with me?”

“I just did.” He spat.

Melissa couldn’t take this anymore, so she fired one shot up in the air.

“That’s enough! Damn it TC, if you had just kept her away from Julian, then they wouldn’t have found their son and I would’ve had all of this!”

“What?!” TC shouted. “You did all of this for money?!”

“Damn right I did! I would’ve had everything, but you f***ed up!”

“But what about me… Didn’t I mean anything to you?”

“Yeah you did…” Melissa paused. “You were the second best lover I ever had.” She said then fired her gun.

Everyone there jumped in shock as TC’s body dropped to the floor in a hard thud. Julian quickly turned Eve around in his arms and held her close before turning his gaze on Melissa.

“Was killing TC really necessary?” Julian shouted.

Melissa nodded.

“Yes it was.” Melissa then set her eyes on Fox. “My, my, my… you are a handsome young man, but too bad you’re gonna die to.”

Fox released Claude and backed up.

“Don’t you dare point that gun at my son!” Julian sneered as he moved Eve behind him.

“Julian, your son is handsome. Even my bastard half-breed nephew is handsome, but like you and Eve, they both have to die as well.”

The moment Melissa cocked the trigger on the gun back, Eve ran from behind Julian straight towards her. Julian looked out the corner of his eye and tried to scream for her. Fox and Devin saw her as well but it was too late. Melissa smirked as she watched Eve run towards her, so she fired once more. Even after she fired her gun Eve still was coming after her and if she didn’t move out to the way, then the both of them were going to have a really nasty spill down the stairs behind her.

Eve ran at Melissa as fast as she could. She wasn’t about to let her kill Fox or Devin. As she ran towards Melissa, she heard the gun go off and felt as the bullet passed right by her right ear but she kept going. She saw Melissa try to move out of the way, but she wasn’t going to let that happen. Once she was close enough, she slammed her body into Melissa’s knocking her off her feet as they both went tumbling down the stairs.

All four men were stunned. They couldn’t move. Eve and Melissa had both went screaming down the stairs and all they could do was watch. Julian blinked his eyes finally and then took off towards the stairs.

When he got to the stairs, he almost tumbled down them himself. On one side of the floor below was the lifeless body of Melissa and on the other side was the lifeless body of Eve. Julian moved his stiff legs and descended down the stairs. He walked pass Melissa and noticed that her eyes were wide open and looking up at the ceiling. And when he was standing next to Eve’s body, Julian grabbed hold of his chest and dropped to the floor beside her just as Fox and Devin came running down the stairs after him.

Two months later

Devin and Fox were sitting to the side of the hospital bed that Julian had been occupying since that fateful day.

When he was standing next to Eve’s body, Julian grabbed hold of his chest and dropped to the floor beside her just as Fox and Devin came running down the stairs after him.

“Dad!” Fox shouted as he ran over to Julian.

“Mom!” Devin shouted as he ran over to Eve.

“C’mon dad, say something? I knew something was wrong with him when we landed here.”

“What are you talking about?”

“He didn’t look right when we got here from Detroit.”

“Detroit?”

“Your aunt Liz told us you and Eve were here. She’s in jail awaiting transfer back to Harmony.” Fox said as he continued to try and wake Julian up.

Claude had just made it down the stairs to see what was going on. Fox and Devin had left him so fast to go and check on Julian and Eve that he really couldn’t blame them for doing what they did.

“How are they?” he said.

“Melissa’s dead. I don’t know what’s wrong with my dad.” Fox said.

“And Eve?”

“She’s alive, but her pulse is very weak.” Devin looked up to Claude.

“Fox do you have a phone?”

“Yeah.” Fox said then threw his cell phone to Claude.

Once Claude caught the phone, he immediately called 911.

The door to Julian’s room opened and Fox and Devin looked over to see Claude come in. Claude smiled at both the boys as he held the door open and watched as Eve to rolled in, in her wheelchair.

In the two months since that day in Georgia, Eve and Claude had found out that he really was her biological father and the two of them got the chance to get to know each other better. He even got the chance to meet his granddaughters for the first time when they all returned to Harmony.

Fox and Devin stood up from their chairs then walked over to Eve and gave her hug. After that, the two of them and Claude walked out of the room to leave her and Julian alone. Once they were gone, Eve rolled over to the side of Julian’s bed, reached down and picked up his hand.

“Julian… I know you can hear me… C’mon, open your eyes for me.” Eve said as she squeezed his hand softly. “I don’t know if Devin or Fox told you this but, I’ve been feeling sensation in my legs. And before you know it, I’ll be walking again. But I’m not here to talk about me, I’m here for you and only you. Julian… you don’t know how hard it is for me to see you like this. I miss you so much and so does Devin and Fox. Even Whitney and Simone miss you.” She paused as her voice began to break and tears started falling from her eyes. “Julian please… comeback to me. I don’t think I could live the rest of my life without you here with me. I love you so much.” She sobbed out then rested her head on top of his hand.

As Eve cried her eyes out, Julian’s eyes slowly opened. He blinked a few times to clear his blurred vision before turning his head slightly to the left. He then squeezed the hand that Eve was crying on, so that she could look up and see his eyes. He was rewarded when her head suddenly shot up and she gasped when she saw his eyes open.

“Julian…” she whispered. “Can you hear me?”

He nodded.

“How are you feeling?”

Julian opened his mouth to speak, his throat was very dry, but he did manage to say something.

“Thirsty.”

Eve smiled a bit before rolling her wheelchair over to the other side of his bed to pour him a cup of water. When she was finished, she didn’t want to roll all the way back to the other side, so she sat the water down and locked the brakes on her wheelchair.

Julian looked on as Eve started to lift herself out of her wheelchair. He watched as she grimaced in pain, but didn’t let that stop her. Once she was standing, leaned in to grab hold the railing on the side of his bed then carefully began taking a few steps. When she was standing next to him, she reached back and picked up the cup of water. Julian immediately guzzled down the whole cup of water and once he was finished, Eve wiped the sides of his mouth off.

Just as she finished wiping off his mouth, the door to his room opened again as both Eve and Julian looked to see who it was. They were both met with the shocked faces of Devin and Fox, as well as Whitney and Simone. Suddenly, Simone was on the floor again and Eve and Julian couldn’t help but roll their eyes and shake their heads in amusement.

Devin was the first to speak.

“Mom, you’re standing up.”

“Does it hurt any?” Fox asked after getting over his shock.

“Not at all.” She lied.

Fox then walked over to the side of Julian’s bed.

“It’s about time you woke up dad.” He scoffed. “I mean, you really had Devin and Eve worried.”

Julian looked to Fox then smiled.

“And what about you?”

At that moment, Whitney spoke up.

“He was really worried about you to Julian. He literally walked a hole in the floor of the mansion!” she shook her head.

“I did not.”

“Admit it bro, you were worried sick too.” Devin smirked.

Fox just rolled his eyes.

“So how long have I been out of it?” Julian asked.

“Two months.” Eve answered.

“Really?”

Everyone in the room nodded.

“Well now that I’m back, I’ve been meaning to ask you this question Eve for a very, very long time.”

“Ask me what?”

“If you would be willing to become my wife?”

Eve gasped in surprise, as did everyone else in the room. Didn’t he just wake up from being in a coma for two months?!

“Julian…”

“When I thought you died, I felt this enormous pain build up in my chest. The thought of losing you was just too much for me to bare, and I didn’t know what to do. So I’m asking you know, say you’ll be my wife Eve and let me spend the rest of my life making you happy?” He looked deeply into her eyes.

“Yes Julian, yes I’ll marry you.” Eve cried out then leaned in and kissed him passionately on the lips.

Whitney, Fox and Devin just rolled their eyes and began walking towards the door. Just looking at old people kiss was enough to creep them out! After the kids were long gone, Eve was now lying down in the hospital bed with Julian when Simone finally decided to wake up. Simone moaned out then sat up and saw Julian and Eve looking at her funny when she decided to say something…
