Swept Away, Chapter 19 -FINAL CHAPTER (Evian)

“I love you, Eve,” Julian sighed as they laid in each other’s arms, “Never have I stopped loving you,” he smiled and kissed the side of her head.

Eve smiled and turned over on her side to look up at him.

“And never have I stopped loving you, Mr. Crane,” Eve kissed his neck.

“‘Mr. Crane’, hmm?” he laughed and looked down at her, “Since when have I become ‘Mr. Crane’ to you?”

“Since I became insecure in our marriage and caused our divorce,” Eve whispered as she laid her cheek against his bicep, “I’m sorry, Julian…I’m sorry for what I’ve put us and our family through. I was so stupid to say I wanted a divorce, when I loved you so.”

Julian felt her warm tears on his skin. He caressed her shoulder and wrapped his other arm around her.

“That doesn’t matter anymore, dear…we’re here together now; and no one is going to separate us, do you hear?” he turned on his side and pinned Eve on her back.

When she nodded, Julian’s face leaned down and met her lips with his own. His tongue outlined the seam of her lips and when Eve felt the dampness of it, she sighed, parting her lips for Julian. He darted his tongue back out; making its way into her mouth, but when he felt hers seeking his, he retrieved it causing Eve to groan in despair.

She closed her eyes and spoke.

“Don’t tease me like that, Julian…”

“How, my darling?” he chuckled and stuck his tongue out again and bathed her lips, “Eve?”

“Yes?”

“What did you think of me when I touched you for the first time?” he asked as he laid on his side and propped his head up on his hand.

“When you first touched me?” she asked slyly, “In the barn?”

“No,” he whispered, “Do you remember when I was furious with Tc and came out of my office and saw you…”

Something in Eve’s eyes told Julian that she did remember. Maybe it was the way she had widened them.

“You remember when I ran my finger…” he stopped talking and ran his finger down the same path it had in the past, “…down the opening of your blouse? What did you think, Eve?”

Her eyes closed as they rolled back in her head.

“I didn’t know what to think. You had made me so angry, but I think I was more angry that I actually enjoyed it,” her cheeks reddened, “Instead of being angry that you were so hard on Tc…”

“Ohh,” he smiled seductively at her, “And when we were together for the first time?”

“It was like nothing I had ever experienced in my entire life,” her chest rose and fell, “I felt so loved, so cherished…so good,” she moaned as she relived their time in the barn.

“And I did love you, Eve! From the first time our lips met, I knew you were the one for me, and when we became one, oh God, Eve,” he shook his head, “I was in Heaven,” he looked down into her face.

Eve’s hand then reached for the back of his neck and brought his face upon hers. The two continued kiss.

Julian pulled away.

“You know what?” he asked.

“Hmm?”

“I’m hungry,” he said as he smacked his lips.

“Me too,” she swallowed.

“I’ll be right back; I’ll bring us up something to snack on,” he said as he stood and pulled on a robe.

“Okay,” she smiled, “While you do that, I’ll check on Evangeline,” Eve said and grabbed another robe.

Julian exited the room first and came face to face with Tracy. She was just coming out of Evangeline’s room. Tracy’s eyes moved from Julian’s to the person behind him…Eve.

“Tracy…” Julian began, but she interrupted him.

“There’s no need to explain, Julian,” she looked down, “I heard you two when I came up here,” her eyes met his again, “I just wanted to say ‘goodbye’ to Evangeline before I left…”

“Before you left?!” Julian asked; a bit surprised.

“Surely you didn’t expect me to stay,” she laughed a bit, “What we had was nice while it lasted,” she sniffed as tears brimmed her eyes, “But, when I saw you and Eve comfort each other during Evangeline’s trying time; I saw that the love you two shared never died,” she inhaled and exhaled, “It was nothing I could compete with,” Tracy shrugged, “I love you, Julian…and I hope you and Eve,” her eyes met Eve’s again, “Will be happy again…as husband and wife,” she walked up to Julian, kissed his cheek, and then handed him a folded up document.

Tracy then stepped away from him, turned her back, and grabbed the suitcases that were at the top of the stairs. After she grabbed them, she began walking down. Hearing the door close, Eve stepped forward and put a hand on Julian’s shoulder.

“What did she give you?”

“I don’t know,” he looked down into his hands and then opened up the folded papers, “Well, I’ll be…” he paused and shook his head, “Divorce papers. They’re divorce papers with her signature on it…”

“Ohh, Julian!” Eve cried as she wrapped her arms around him, “I’m happy, but then I’m sad…Tracy and Tc never deserved this.”

“I know,” he said lowly, “I know,” his hand caressed her back, “I just hope that one day she could forgive me…”

“I think she already has, honey,” Eve pulled from him and ran her thumb over his lips, “She has,” Eve smiled at Julian before she kissed him soundly.

NINE MONTHS LATER…

Julian and Eve were husband and wife again and were living in the mansion with their six children…yes, six children: J.J., Julius, Evelyn, Evangeline, and the newborn twins.
---

“Oh my God, Eve,” Julian shook his head and laughed uncontrollably, “TWINS!”

Eve smiled as Julian wiped the perspiration from her forehead in the delivery room.

“What shall we name them?” she asked.

“I think this one…” Julian said as he held his son, “…should be called ‘Russell’ after the man who saved our daughter’s life…”

“Oh, Julian,” Eve cried, “And this other little guy…may we name him ‘Warren’ after my father?”

“Whatever you’d like, my darling, whatever you’d like,” he said and kissed her forehead and then placed their son in Eve’s arms, “Smile!” Julian cheered as he snapped photos of his wife, new sons, and the quads.
