Subject: The Blue Note - Whitney declares her independence

The Blue Note was still hopping today.

Whitney and Eve are arguing at the club. Whitney tells Eve that she's not going anywhere. Whitney asks Eve why is it so horrible that she sings. Eve says that she's not having it, and Chad asks again why Eve is so down on people who sing. Eve's eyes dart to Julian's , and she has a flashback to her days as a singer.
Eve tells her that there are so many terrible things tha can happen to a girl likr Whitney, and Fox steps up to defend the club, telling Eve that it's only a place for singers and people who want to listen to music. Eve goes to take Whitney home, and Whitney refuses.

Rebecca asks Julian about what he meant about that it was a good thing TC wasn't at the Club. Julian covers and replies that he meant that TC didn't need to know that Whitney was there, singing with Chad, but he was thinking that if he came there, he would be one step closer to finding out about Eve's past with Julian.

Lizzard is still sipping her martini and calling TC, trying to get him to come down to the Blue Note. It's so obvious that she doesn't care about anything but getting revenge on Eve. She could care less about Whitney.

The bartender is with Fox, telling him that it was too bad Eve showed up because Whitney was a good singer. Fox agreed and called Whitney amazing. The bartender told Fox to watch it because he was looking at Whitney like she was 'fresh fruit on the vine' - LOL. He also tells Fox that if Whitney's boyfriend catches Fox looking at Whitney like that, he'll know that Fox has fallen hard for her.

Eve and Whitney are still getting into it, and Whitney calls Eve a hypocrite, saying that she criticized TC for pushing Whitney into 'his' dream, but that Eve won't hear of Whitney following a dream of her own because Eve doesn't like it.

Lizzard was so slimy.....check out the smile on her face as she put the phone out so that TC could hear Eve and Whitney fighting. That's all she's about. She has no real concern for any of them.

Eve and Whitney are still going at it while Julian and Rebecca watch. When Rebecca comments about their heated argument, Julian says that he thinks it's time that he stopped it. Rebecca asks Julian why is he inserting himself into the Russell family soap opera. Julian says that he's not trying to get involved, but that it's his club, and having family squabbles played out in the middle of the club is bad for business, and he excuses himself to go see the Russells.

Whitney accuses Eve of being a hypocrite again, and not listening to what Whitney wants for herself. Whitney says that she's going to decide what she does with her life. Personally, I don't think Whitney KNOWS what she wants for herself. I think Eve was right about that six month cooling off period, but I think Whitney should go on a trip by herself and THINK. First TC ran her life about tennis, and I see Chad running it with regards to music. I don't think Whitney's thought about anything for HERSELF, ever. So, if it's true that SHE wants to decide things, sans TC, Eve AND Chad's influence, then I welcome it.

Julian goes over to Eve, Whitney and Chad and asks if there is anything he can do. Eve tells him to tell Whitney to go home. Julian tells Whitney that they have talked about things before, and maybe it would be for the best that she go home with Eve. Whitney tells Julian that she's not going anywhere. She's decided to not let anyone else decide her life, and unless she's thrown out, she's not leaving, and she walks away. Julian tells Eve that he only wanted to help, and Eve tells him that nobody asked him to help and that she's going to get her daughter and go home. Chad blocks Eve from going to get Whitney, telling Eve that she went along with TC forcing his dream into Whitney, and now she's blocking Whitney from going after what she wants. He asks what kind of mother would she be to block Whitney that way, in another underwhelming performance by Divins.

Whitney's at the bar, and of course, the ever concerned Fox offers to help. Whitney tells him that there's nothing he can do. She talks to Fox about her situation with Eve, telling him that she'd never spoken to her mother like that. Fox tells her that maybe parents sometimes try to hold onto their children too long, unless it was his parents, and they couldn't wait to get rid of him. Whitney tells him that she'd had a wonderful relationship with her parents, until now, and that all they seem to do is fight lately. Of course when Whitney asked 'what else could go wrong', I KNEW that was TC's entrance...LOL

Lizzard was waiting for TC to come. She was just salivating at the possibility of TC coming to the club so that she could cause more trouble. She commented that she couldn't wait to see Eve's life fall apart in front of everyone. See, nothing about concern for Whitney, or TC. It's all about revenge on Eve; she could care less about Whitney.

Then, we go back to Fox and Whitney. Whitney tells him that she doesn't like to yell at Eve or make her feel bad, but that she can't take the pressure anymore. Fox tries to add intimacy to their conversation, and Whitney looks at him like, ' what are you doing?'. Fox backs away, and then Whitney tells him that Theresa has said that he's not like the other Cranes. That he doesn't find people's weaknesses and exploit them, and Fox says that he doesn't. The bartender is like , ' in what world', and Fox dismisses him. Whitney tells Fox that this isn't how she imagined it; she thought her parents would love the guy she loved. Fox said maybe they'll love the guy you marry, and that things can change.

Lizzard was so slick, telling TC that she's 'so sorry' for bringing Whitney to the club. That she couldn't POSSIBLY have known that it would turn out like this. Made sure to tell TC that Chad got Whitneyt to sing;. And then asked TC, oh so sweetly not to mention to anyone that SHE was the one who called him down there. Yeah, she cares about TC and his daughters...NOT!

Chad goes over to the bar and thanks him for taking care of Whitney. Fox leaves, and Chad and Whitney reunited. Of course, this is the perfect time for TC to make his entrance into the club...LOL

TC accuses Chad of trying to get Whitney drunk so that he can take her to LA with him. Fox sees trouble and comes over to get in between Chad and TC, telling TC that he doesn't want any trouble. Rebecca adds a little comedy to the moment by commenting that Fox can speak for himself; SHE would love trouble, if it came in the form of Chad and TC taking off their shirts and 'oiling up' - LOL So Rebecca-ish.

TC told Chad that Whitney had made up her mind about saying, and punk Chad had to go taunt TC about it being a woman's perogative to change her mind, thus setting TC off, and he's going after Chad once again. Lizzard is grinning ear to ear - it's exactly what she wanted.

Eve runs away after seeing Whitney sitting at the bar, and Julian goes after her. He apologizes to Eve,and she damns, Julian. That Whitney is going to be a whore, just like the whore Julian turned her into. Julian tells her not to say such things because he wants to help her. That they will help reconcile things with Whitney; Eve tells him that they wouldn't do anything because Julian was responsible. Julian asks her what she means, and she tells him that it didn't escape her that this was a duplicate of the club in which they met all those years ago. Julian said he redecorated it, and Eve said no, it was a replica of it, and said it was the place where Julian ruined her life. Julian tells her that he regrets what happened, and Eve asks him if he has so many regrets, why did he make this club look just like that club? Julian tells her that he did it because it reminds him of the most wonderful time of his life. The time that he first met Eve. Eve is sobbing and she lets Julian comfort her, and he tells her that everything is going to be alright.

I love Eve. I make no bones about it. She's scared, frightened, being pushed more to the edge at every turn. Her old accusations towards Julian don't even have the bite they used to because she doesn't mean it. They are just old stand-bys that she used to yell at Julian when she had her armor up against him. She knew he didn't do anything wrong; she knew it was LIZ who set it all into motion. She's just scared and frightened and he's right there....but her letting him comfort her shows her real feelings.

I enjoyed today's show. I even enjoy how much I hate Lizzard. Now that TC's there in the mix, everything can only get worse..LOL
