Evian.......OH OH OH

I absolutely LOVED IT.

Eve was warned by Pilar that her love for Julian was dangerous, and that she couldn't continue to travel this road.

Pilar was right.

Julian has told Eve that tonight is the night he's going down. He tells her about the CD's Luis has, and that Luis is going to bring forth proof that will ensure that he's on his way to jail. But, that Eve doesn't have to worry about losing her family. He's taken care of things with that regard. That she won't be hurt, and that he's protected her.

Eve tells Julian that she doesn't know how Julian can be so calm considering what is going to happen. Julian tells her that Luis gave him the heads up about what will happen this evening, and he appreciates it. He tells her that they will learn the identity of their son, but that he will be arrested and sent to prison. Julian tells her that everyone will learn about their past, but that she won't lose her family. Eve asks Julian again how he can be sure that she won't lose her family. Julian takes out a letter and gives it to her, telling her that this will make sure she's happy.

Julian tells her that the letter will insure she doesn't lose her husband and daughters. Eve reads the letter and tells Julian that she won't let it happen. She won't let Julian do this. Julian tells her it's the only way. Eve tells him that she's not going to accept the letter. This letter of Julian's which has him confessing to raping Eve, and that their son is the result of it.

What did Eve say?
 

" I am not going to let you tell the world that I didn't love you, and that I didn't want you, and that you took me by force. NO!"

Julian tries to get Eve to see that his ' confession' is her way out. That without it, she's going to lose her husband and daughters, and he knows she doesn't want that. Eve counters that he says that he's going to jail, so he's adding rape to his list of charges? Julian tells her that there will be no leniency for him, because of the depth of charges that will be filed against him. That she has no idea the crimes he's committed. Eve doesn't want to hear it. She then tries to convince Julian otherwise by telling him that if TC thinks that Julian has raped her, he won't make it to prison - TC will kill him!

I LOVED this scene. Totally loved it, because you saw the depth of their love for one another. I was overjoyed by it, because it validated something I had long thought - that Eve would NEVER allow anyone say that Julian raped her. If not because of her feelings for Julian, then for the sake of their son. She would NEVER allow their son to believe that he was a product of rape. It wasn't going to happen. Her vehemence against it warmed my heart. I also loved the calm and deliberate coolness of Julian. When he took her in his arms and shook her and told her that she had no idea about the crimes he had committed, it was a man who had accepted his 'fate', and wanted to give Eve this one last gift. The intensity of Ben and Tracey in this scene was wonderful.

Julian tells her that TC won't be able to get to him because he'll be arrested and put away in jail. Eve replies that she's not going to have anyone think he forced himself on her. She wanted him as much as he wanted her. Julian tells her that, if they look at it in a way, he did rape her because she was so innocent, and he introduced her into that 'lifestyle'. Eve owns up that she was grown; she made her own choices because she wanted to be with him. Julian tells her that she made him happy, and that he still loves her. Eve admit that she loves him too, which is why she's not going to let anyone think that he forced himself on her and that their child was a result of rape. Julian tells her that it's the only way to save her marriage. Eve laments how wonderful Julian is for even suggesting it, and Julian tells her he'd do anything for her. How he always wished that they could be together, and the thing he'll miss most in jail is not being able to see her.

Eve asks him if he remembers the vision that they had of what their life could have been like. Julian admits he blew it because he was a coward. That he has a life full of regrets. Julian asks for one last kiss and Eve obliges. Julian tells her that he wants her so much, and Eve wants him too. She tells Julian to come with her. As they're walking, Julian stops her and asks her where they're going.  Eve tells him - ' somewhere where we can be alone.'

OH YEAH!!

They get to that 'somewhere', and Julian asks Eve if she's sure about it. Eve tells him - " I don't care about anything right now except the two of us, our love and everything that we've missed. Oh God, I love you so much."

From then on, no talking was necessary, as they gave into their mutual passion and it was on!

YES!!

It had to be from Eve's initiative, because SHE is the one who has been hesitant in this relationship. She had to make this move. This story is coming to a boiling point, and I can't wait to see how it falls out. I thought Ben and Tracey were on the mark today - Julian being the condemned man, and Eve seeing this as their ' last chance' to be together. Loved it.
