Subject: Evian in the Barn

I really enjoyed the Evian scenes from this week.
I thought it was interesting, in the beginning of the week, here pops up Eve at the Crane Mansion. Yes, we know that Gwen wasn't feeling well, but did she HAVE to do a housecall?

Of course not. She did that housecall and HUNG AROUND for the results, because she WANTED to see Julian.

When Julian found out where their son was, she was so happy. Did you see it? She was ready. She was ready to blow her entire world apart. She didn't know who her son was, or if he wanted to meet her, or if he wanted to get to know his mother. ALL Eve wanted to know was where could she meet him. That was enough. She was ready for the change in her life.

When they got to the Chinese restaurant, she was nervous, but she was ready.

They looked around the restaurant, but not all - after all, they didn't see Chad. She was sad, thinking that her son wasn't there, and that sadness turned to anger, rage and frustration when Julian got his call from Alistair, taunting him about the false lead that he had put in their way.

As they drove away, Eve was visibly upset, and said something that I've thought for awhile - that she's close to the breaking point emotionally, and could be do for a breakdown. Earlier that night she had thought she was closer to her fondest desire -to find her son. She was so close that she could taste it. She actually broke down the barriers in her heart, and was raw. To find out that it was phony and not only phony, but a purposefully cruel hoax perpetrated by the originator of all this pain only stuck the knife in deeper.

Then, they got into the accident. Julian woke up first, and I loved Ben Masters. You could see that Julian loved Eve with every fiber of his being. He was worried about her. Concerned for her. She was his priority. I loved how he took her out of the car and tried to take care of her.

For her part, Eve was worried about TC finding them together. She couldn't have that, so she tried to call him and tell him not to come. Of course he ignored her, and who could fault him. I still love TC, and it was evident how much he loved Eve too. Rodney has always displayed TC's love for Eve on his sleeve, and today was no different. When he came into the Russell living room and told Whitney about being notified by the monitoring company about the airbag and Eve's lack of response - TC's love was quite real. He doesn't give a crap about a car - his concern was for Eve, which made me feel bad, because I never wanted TC hurt in all of this.

Once the rain began, Julian helped Eve find shelter in a barn. It was sort of romantic seeing him carry Eve. They were in the barn, and Julian helped Eve get comfortable. This is where the underlying romance and sexual tension set in. Julian was being Julian - he couldn't help himself. He leaned in for a kiss, but Eve pushed him away. He moved in again, and she resisted him. But, three time's the charm. This time, Julian stopped himself, and it was EVE who leaned in for passionate smooch. Of course, she's been caught by Whitney and Chad - LOL

Eve can't resist Julian anymore than he can resist her. It's that obvious. She needs to be honest with everyone, including herself. Her life would become very 'messy', but that's what she needs. If not, I could see her breaking under the stress. I don't think she can take much more.
