Subject:  Evian today....THE KISS.....YOWSA....sigh......

Well today is one my Evian-loving heart has waited for since the first moment Julian saw Eve across a crowded room at the Bazaar. It was the way he said ‘ Eve’, and how his eyes melted when he said that had me hooked instantly.
Julian is at the Lobster Shack, there to tell Eve that Fox might be onto them. He’s trying to think of a way to get her attention. Fox, who has followed Julian, wonders what could get his father there to the Lobster Shack; why is Julian ‘slumming’ in Fox’s words?

Fox looks inside of the restaurant, and sees that Eve is there. He is very curious. I loved the comment he made that Julian was looking at Eve like a ‘lovesick teenager’, and that he found it interesting.

Inside the Lobster Shack, we have Eve with Ivy. She knew that Ivy was on the phone with David, and wondered what Ivy is doing. Eve tells Ivy that she’s not going to let Ivy have Sam, and Ivy is like, ‘more empty threats, Eve?’, though Eve is determined. Eve and Ivy get into it. Eve says that David is basically a moral and decent guy who had the misfortune of falling under Ivy’s thumb. She says that something happens to people who are basically moral and decent when they are forced to do things that they hate. They tend to sabotage themselves; make mistakes. Eve believes David is going to make a mistake that will ruin his chances of a future with Grace.

Ivy tells Eve not to blame her for things; blame Grace for going away with David. Ivy tells Eve that she had to see how well they are together. Eve replied that Sam pitied her, not loved her. Ivy retorts that Sam loves her and that they will be together. Eve tells her that she’s not going to have Sam, and Ivy tells her that Eve can’t stop her, so that she should keep her mouth shut, and that everyone will get what they want – she’ll have Sam, Eve can keep her marriage, and maybe they can go out to dinner sometime. At that repulsive thought, Eve got up from the table and left.

Eve goes outside and comments that if Lizzard isn’t threatening to expose her past, it’s Ivy. She knows she should tell TC the truth, but feels she can’t. Just then, Julian calls out to her.

The look on Eve’s face when she sees Julian. She has a smile. A genuine smile. She is happy to see him. She tells him, “ Thank God it’s you.”, and goes into his arms for comfort. …love it.

Julian is comforting Eve, and Fox spies them together. He tells himself that he is right about part of Julian’s secret. Wonders what else he knows.

Julian tells Eve that he saw her talking to Ivy. Eve tells him that Ivy is threatening to expose her past. Julian asks her why, and she tells him it doesn’t matter and asks him why he’s there. Julian tells her that he doesn’t want to add to her troubles, but that someone else is close to discovering their past – Fox. Eve asks how, and Julian compliments his son by calling him observant and tells her that Fox took what happened at the wharf and came to all the right conclusions. Eve wonders what they are going to do, and Julian tells her that he told Fox to repeat his suspicions to anyone else. Eve asks if they are safe, and Julian tells her yes, their secret won’t come out until they are ready.

Fox has left the embracing duo to go get himself a drink and think. He wonders if Eve’s child with Julian died, like Eve had said, or if the kid was still out there. And, if the kid was out there, then who is the kid? He says that it can’t be Chad, because Eve ran his DNA and nobody in town was a match. Just then, TC sees Fox. Fox tells TC that it’s a nice night for a seafood dinner, and TC says that it would be if he could find Eve. TC asks Fox if he’s seen Eve, and Fox, looking at Evian together, tells TC that he thinks he knows where TC can find his wife.

Julian tells Eve that everything will be alright. That he will help her no matter that. That they are in it together. Eve tells him that she never dreamed that one day Julian would be her ‘rock’. That he would be the ONE person she knew that she could trust. Julian tells her that they have come a long way…..’ almost full circle’.

Eve tells Julian that she doesn’t know how long she can continue living a lie. That it’s been a long road, and that she’s very tired. He asks for her to let him help her. So that he can get it right this time.

Then, Julian leans for the kiss and WOW!!!

They were puckering up something fierce. Even Fox’s eyes widened looking at them. They were totally into one another.

LOVED IT!

There are those who say that this is a mess of Eve’s own making. I can’t dispute that. I can’t help it that I just love the character, even though she’s done some horrible things.

I think it’s so curious that Eve has done a litany of awful things in order to keep a simple, boring, middle-class lifestyle. Not fame, fortune, power…..but a middle-class lifestyle.

I LOVED the scenes on the terrace of the Lobster Shack. I don’t know how to put it into words, but Eve was being ‘all woman’ with Julian. She was being a certain type of woman – alluring, vulnerable, needy with an undercurrent of sexuality that, from my experience, men just can’t resist. And, the facts are, Eve KNEW what she was doing. She knew what kind of reaction she was going to get from Julian. She told Ivy that those under pressure do things for self-sabotage. I do believe Eve wants the truth to come out. She’s scared of the truth, but she’s also tired. I also think her feelings for Julian are all out in the open. Eve hasn’t spoken of them, but they are there, and she doesn’t know what to do with them, and has no armor to beat them back.

Even when she hated Julian, he inspired passion in her and she hated it. Now, she doesn’t hate Julian, but that passion inspiration is still there, and she gave into it today. This is getting good..LOL

Thank you Ben and Tracey! It was fabulous.
