"Really Ethan how can you be so stupid?!" Ivy fumed. Ethan had just informed her of his impending marriage to Theresa. "That bitch is not right for you. She is the very reason why you lost everthing."

"No mother, you're the reason why I lost everything." Ethan corrected. "You passed me off as another man's child, depriving me of the chance of being raised by my real father; and for what? Money!"

Ethan's words pierced her soul... Will he ever forgive her?

"At least my child will grow up knowing his real father." He continued.

"Ohmigod!" Ivy gasped. "You knocked the little slut up! Why else would you consider marrying her."

"No mother, I am talking about little Ethan, I am his father." He announced proudly. "You are a grandmother."

"The hell I am!" Ivy spat. She could not fathom the thought of Theresa giving birth to her grandchild. "How do you know that this is true, because that lying bitch told you?"

Ethan looked at his mother sheepishly and grinned.

"Uh yeah." He replied. "Theresa told me that she remembered what had happened on her wedding night with Julian. She said that they did not consumate the marriage because they were too intoxicated."

"And you believed her?!" Ivy asked incrediously.

"Mother." Ethan huffed. "I believe her, of course I do...why wouldn't I?"

Ivy sighed in frustration as she stared at her moronic son.

"Ethan." She began. "Everything that comes out of that tramp's mouth is a lie, what kind of proof do you have that little Ethan is your son besides the worthless words of Theresa?"

Ethan looked at his mother dumbfounded.

"Just as I thought, you have no real proof...that little bitch just reeled your dumbass in." She said. "I love you Ethan but you are such a moron."

"Theresa has changed mother." Ethan said defensively. "Motherhood has matured her, she has been nothing but honest with me."

Ivy quickly moved her wheelchair away from him.

"Why did you do that mother?"

"I don't want to be next to you when lightening strikes." She replied. "The sensation you get is not very pleasurable."

"Mother this time you are wrong about Theresa, just you wait and see."

"Ethan I would stop holding my breath if I were you, the lack of oxygen to your brain is affecting your judgement where Theresa is concern. How could you tossed Gwen away again for that little money grubbing whore is beyond me."

"Mother, Gwen is okay with it, she is happy for me and Theresa. Why can't you be?"

"Ohmigod!" Ivy said as she slapped her hand against her forehead. "I have raised such an idiot!" She cried. "Ethan! Wake up! Gwen is not okay with it! She has been crying on Sheridan's shoulders for the past two weeks about the doggish way you had treated her!"

A wave of shame washed over his body.

"Well mother I'm sorry that I hurt her." He muttered. "But I love Theresa."

Ivy threw her hands in the air. "I give up!" She shouted. "Ethan you are a damn fool."

Theresa tossed he heavy trash bag by the side of the road and plopped her weary body on top of it. She had been walking the lonely highway back to town for nearly two hours - not a single car stopped to offer her a ride.

A few hours ago she was still Mrs. Julian Crane, living in the biggest mansion on Raven Hill: drinking the best of wines, eating off the finest china money could buy and wearing designer clothes and priceless jewels...her son...

"Ethan is going to hate me for sure this time." She sobbed. "I lied to him about little Ethan being his son. How am I going to get out of this mess and hang on to Ethan at the same time?"

She caressed Ethan's engagement ring, a wicked grin spread across her face.

"I just have to convince Ethan to elope with me tonight." She concluded. "That way he will think that mama is taking care of the baby and he will be none the wiser...until we get back." She sighed and shrugged her shoulders. "Oh well." She said matter-of-factly. "I just have to cross that bridge when I get to it."

She stood up and stretch her aching body, with renew determination she slung the trash bag over her shoulder and began walking towards town with visions of Ethan dancing around in her head.

Sheridan sat silently as she watched her best friend toss her clothes in the opened suit cases on the bed. Gwen had decided to take her father's job offer of managing the New York's offices of Hotchkiss Enterprises.

"I am such an idiot!" Gwen confessed. "How did a smart, educated, independent woman like me fall for such a jerk!"

Sheridan ducked as several pair of pumps was hurled in to the air. She had never seen Gwen this angry before.

"Well Gwen..." Sheridan began.

"He screwed me Sheridan, for that little bitch, not once but twice!" She held back the angry tears that was forming in her eyes. She refused to shed another drop over that loser.

"Gwen..." Sherdian repeated.

"I feel like going over to the Crane mansion and pop a couple of caps in his retarded ass...and Theresa? I still have my bat in the closet maybe I should give her a wedding present that she will never forget." She said wickedly.

"Gwen forget it, she is not worth it." Sheridan replied.

"You are absolutely right." Gwen agreed. "I am going to New York to start a new life and I going to find me a good man that is worthy of me. Mo more playing second fiddle to some-some brat, I am Gwendolyn Hotchkiss damn it! And I will not take a back seat to ANYONE!!!"

"Bravo, you go girl!" Sheridan cheered. "Good for you!"

As Gwen took a bow, she began to feel a little light headed.

"Whoa, I guess all that shouting made me a little whoozy." She said.

She nearly tripped over her own feet, she grabbed hold of the closet door to steady herself.

"Are you okay?" Sheridan asked in a concern voice.

Gwen shook her head. "On second thought, I think I ate one Nacho chip too many." She joked before she collasped to the floor.

"Gwen!" Sheridan yelled as she rushed to her side...

Gwen found herself at Harmony Hospital, surrounded by her mother, Dr. Russell and Sheridan.

"Gwen you're awake." Rebecca smiled, feeling relieved that her daughter had opened her eyes."Thank God."

"Sheridan what happened?" She whispered weakly. "The last thing I remember...I was packing my bags for New York..."

"You fainted." Sheridan explained. "I tried to revive you but couldn't so I called Eve and Rebecca."

"How long have I been out?"

"For almost an hour." Sheridan gently squeezed her hand. "You gave us all a scare."

"Eve what is wrong with my daughter?" Rebecca asked. "What cause her to faint like that? Is she going to be alright?"

"She is going to be just fine." Eve assured her. Eve smiled at her patient and patted her gently on the forearm. "Congratulations Gwen you're going to have a baby."

Her words left the three woman speechless...

Finally Gwen broke the silence...

"Out of all of Ethan's little swimmers, I was impregnanted by the genius of the bunch." She quipped.
