Chapter Two

Crane Apartment, LA

Whitney was having the time of her life with Fox, her newest boyfriend. She couldn’t believe herself to be so lucky to have a guy like Fox Crane. He’s the hunkiest, most delicious, sweetest, and richest guy… the ideal man every woman could ever have possibly dreamt or hoped for! And now he’s hers to keep, because she had always loved him and he claims to have loved her too.

She wanted to spend some more time with him today... but he said that he had to go do something important...

Whitney thought back to a time when after LaToya shot her… Chad decided to leave Whitney for his wife. Well, technically, Chad still wanted Whitney, and made it very clear too… except he wanted her as a kept woman. She couldn’t believe it! She left her family… her home… her safe place… and all her friends behind for THIS?! Her parents were right all along. Chad was nothing BUT a “street punk”. How she wished she could go back in time… changed it so that she could make sure she never even knew Chad ever. But she can’t. After Chad had asked her to still be his… she did the old-fashion thing… she slapped Chad and told him she wanted nothing to do with him… ever again. And she meant it. She even had Fox arrange it so that Chad could never set foot inside the building… or anywhere near her.

She then thought further about how she wind up with Fox as her boyfriend. It wasn’t until three days later… he sent her the most beautiful set of flowers she has ever seen before! When she asked what it was for… she never, in a million years, would of thought that the next words coming out of Fox’s mouth… ever meant something so special to her, so precious…

“I LOVE you Whitney.”

Shocked, she dropped the flowers. “What?” she whispered.

He nervously cleared his throat… and repeated it… confirming that she wasn’t just imagining it.

“I said I love you Whit.”

“Y-y-y-ou… you l-love me? How? Why?"

Fox simply just looked down.

“Ok is this a joke? Because if it is, you can tell me now… and it wasn’t funny!”

“No, it’s not a joke Whit, I love you. I always did the first time I saw you sing up at the stage… you looked like an angel… you were so beautiful… and your voice just brought magic to my eyes.”

“You loved me all this time? Why are you telling me this now?”

“I wanted to… for so long… but I just couldn’t. Seeing you with Chad… you looked so happy and I thought that there would NEVER be a chance for us… but now that you’re free…”

“Fox…”

“I mean, Chad couldn’t have possibly still be in your heart right now could he?”

“No he isn’t. I hate Chad. It’s just that –“

Fox cut her short. “Whitney, you’re perfect. So sweet and so genuine. And you’re beautiful. I would of given everything I have just to have a chance… one chance… give me a chance, please, Whit…”

She felt so touched. And happy. Deep down inside of her, she always had wondered how it would be like to dating a man like Fox. She envied Theresa for being the woman he loves. “Theresa!” she thought.

“So… so… Theresa isn’t the woman you love? It was… me?”

“I’m sorry Whit, for lying to you… but when you said that you would be with me 24/7 helping me to get Theresa… I saw it as a chance… the biggest chance I’ll ever get to spend time with you… it was the only way.”

“Fox… it’s ok. And I accept it. Are you going to ask me out for date now or what?!”

“Of course! Whitney… will you go out with me? Will you give me this chance to let you see what you’re really worth?”

Whitney wanted to. Deep down inside of her... she never felt so happy just hearing how much she meant to Fox. She wanted to pinch herself right now just to see if it was a dream. She decided not to... in case it WAS a dream...

“Yes.”

So that was that. He took her out the same evening and showed her the best time she ever had in her whole entire life… and it never included sex! Chad was all about sex… but Fox… Fox took it slow and was being a total gentleman. And with him, she finally knew the true meaning behind “love”. She loves Fox, Fox Crane, with all her heart and soul. But she never loved Chad. Her daddy was right. Chad was nothing but a crush. And she got over him.

Her mom and TC had a fit when they learned of Fox and Whitney’s announcement on their official dating.

“You have bad choice in men Whitney… and Fox Crane is even worse than Chad Harris!”

“More worse than a man who lied to me about never being married, daddy?”

Her mother Eve never spoke to her though. She never uttered a single word.. at all… about her approval of her and Fox dating.

When TC asked for her forgiveness for shutting her out of the Russell house… she forgave him. She always had! But she told them that she needs some more time in LA before she goes back to Harmony. She wanted to stay in LA with Fox because Fox wasn’t allowed back, given thanks to his father, Julian Crane.

Eve and TC left in a second-class flight back to Harmony… Julian, Rebecca, Gwen, and Ethan left in the Crane family jet… and Theresa stayed in LA with her and Fox. Which was a surprise, because naturally, she would of wanted to be with Little Ethan again while obsessing over Ethan. But she couldn’t look Ethan in the eye… not right now… not yet.

Whitney thought of her mother again. She wanted to talk to her. It’s been so long now… surely her mom would want to talk to her?

Whitney then picked up the phone… and dialed her number…

Chad and LaToya’s apartment

Chad silently cursed himself for choosing to stay with LaToya. But he had to… his life was on the line. Dammit, why couldn’t Whitney understand that he was saving his own hide, as well as hers?! And now she’s dating Fox Crane now… he always knew there was something fishy about Theresa being the “woman he loves”! He never WAS Chad and Whitney’s friend… rather, he was ONLY Whitney’s friend. All along… ever since the day Whitney sang… he wanted Whitney and in order to get so, Fox forged a fake friendship with Chad. What a lying piece of golly -face backstabber!

He looked to his right. His wife was there… sleeping peacefully and cuddling next to him after having sex. He resides with her now near Puff’s and his crew. He now also works for Puff… and does his music recording career with the guy too. He had to… and if he once betrayed the gang OR LaToya… Puff Dog would have no hesitation killing Chad right on the spot.

Chad couldn’t even leave LA anymore either. He’s being watched his every movement and with Puff’s eyes scattered throughout the whole state…

Chad sighed. It didn’t mean that Whitney could still be his. He had told Whitney that they could still be together… secretly… but she downright refused it! She gave him a hell of a slap and made it very clear that she wants nothing to do with him… ever again. His face turned dark. One day he WILL make Whitney’s his again… despite having Fox as his competition. But right now… it’s time to wake up LaToya and continue their love-making session… and it wasn’t over yet.

“Soon Whitney, soon.” He vowed.
