Chapter Seven

TC ran out of the hospital, frowning slightly. Eve lied to him, but what in the world for?

She said that the hospital had called her… but today was her day-off. She wasn’t supposed to work today. So why did she leave the house in such a hurry? Something just wasn’t right.

He started to ponder about Liz… something she said had shook him…

He ran down the stairs, only to find Liz picking up all the popcorn she had spilt, slowly, and one by one. When he said he wanted for Liz to get out of the house by fifteen minutes, he meant it. But she was five minutes late! He could see that she already packed her bags, and decided to wait, just a while longer. Because he sure didn’t want to clean up the mess himself!

After Liz FINALLY finished cleaning up the living room and was ten minutes late altogether, TC pretended to stomp down the stairs and started to shout at Liz… informing her that it was twenty-five minutes already, and she should leave, before Eve gets back.

He almost shoved Liz out of the door, but Liz quickly got out of the way, and requested for one last kiss.

He looked away, and said that he will do nothing of the sort. He slammed the door right at Liz’s face, right before she said her last, few, parting words, which was, “Oh by the way, TC, did you know that your wife is with Julian Crane right now?”

He scrunched his fists, and wondered how the hell would Liz know? And what did she mean?

His wife was with his worst enemy?

No, it’s not possible. Eve hated Crane anyways. It’s not like she would lie to her husband about going to work just to talk to the snob…

He decided to give Eve the benefit of the doubt. He arrived back home, and there is only one place in his mind that he would want to go right now at the moment: the shed.

He took out his keys and began fumbling for the lock.

Whitney sighed. Here she was, with Fox and Theresa, heading back to Harmony. She was excited to finally see her family and friends again, and even more happy for Fox being able to live among themselves again, even though it meant that she had to reside with him as well.

It was all for the better, she decided. She was pregnant, pregnant for a month-and-a-half now. And she knew that she would love this baby, with all of her heart.

She took a pregnancy test when she felt a little woozy the past few days and Theresa had pointed out to her that she could be pregnant. Whitney didn’t want to overlook the fact, but took the test anyways just to shut her best friend up. It turned out positive.

She then checked in with the doctor to make sure, and it was confirmed, she was pregnant.

The only problem was, she didn’t know who was the father of her baby; was it Chad’s, …or Fox’s?

She seriously hoped it was her baby with the man she loves right now…

But she just doesn’t know.

Fox came in, holding a bottle of champagne on his hand.

“Whitney!” he smiled. He took out three glasses, and started to pour one for Whitney, after Theresa had taken hers.

“Baby, none for me, ok?” Whitney said, afraid to risk the life she has been growing inside of her.

“Ok Whit, what ever you say,” Fox took his glass, and clanged it against Theresa’s. “This is for our safety return back to Harmony.”

“Cheers,’ smiled Theresa.

Whitney smiled as well, and then looked away.

Fox noted to himself that Whitney looked as if she wasn’t telling him something. He shifted over to his girlfriend. “Whitney?” Fox asked, concerned. “Is there something you want to tell me?”

Whitney wasn’t sure if she wanted to. Part of her wanted to scream out that she was pregnant, but another part of her didn’t want to, fearing that Fox might leave her, if he learned the truth. Was he ready to commit himself to her yet?

“Fox…” she said slowly. “Do you love me?”

Fox gaped at Whitney.

“…Fox?”

“Of course I do! I love you Whitney!” he exclaimed.

“Ok,” Whitney said finally, and flashed Fox a beautiful smile, “That’s all I wanted to hear.”

Theresa observed the conversation in the shadows, and quietly shook her head. “Oh Whitney, you should just tell Fox!”

She pouted. “Fox loves you so much…”

The announcer blared at the sitcom. “We will shortly be arriving to Harmony. Place your seatbelts everyone and prepare for landing.”

___

Liz smirked. She was at the airport right now, waiting for her flight. She was going to leave for Los Angeles, tonight.

She then went back to her version of what happened earlier…

Liz was packing her bags, and was all ready to go. She had very few things to keep with her, and decided to leave everything that she didn’t need, in her garage apartment. “TC will know what to do,” she decided.

While picking out the things that she wouldn’t of wanted to be parted from, her hand slipped to a printed picture she had recently taken with her digital camera. It was the picture of her good-for-nothing sainted sister and Julian Crane kissing at the hospital she had taken snapshots of when spying on the two lovesick birds. She grinned evilly. This was the perfect picture to show TC!

When she came back to the living room, she carefully placed the picture to a more noticeable area where she knew TC would not miss, right on top of where all the family pictures were.

She then stooped down to clean up her mess, and was finally warded off to the front door, with TC carrying her luggage. My, what muscles!

When TC downright rejected her last request for a good-bye kiss, she couldn’t help but blurt out that Eve was with Julian, hoping that this would bring her back inside. Of course, she wasn’t really sure, but it was more than likely that Julian WAS with Eve, considering how he could never keep his distance from her, and how he was in love with the sainted bitch. She couldn’t see TC’s reaction though, because he slammed the door right in front of her face just as she had said it.

“Oh well,” Liz thought. “When I come back to Harmony…”

“LIZ!”

Liz peered at the crowd. Who was calling her?

“Liz, it’s me!”

Finally, she saw them.

“Whitney!” she smiled, and ran up to Whitney and hugged her. Fox and Theresa just stood there, quite content with the small reunion, and to be back in their hometown again.
___

A mysterious figure crept behind the boxes. He/she took out his/her gun and repositioned himself/herself. “I didn’t want to do this…Eve…” and aimed towards the woman standing in front of him/her only a few feet away…

__

Julian pulled over his car. He had spotted Eve, somewhere around this area. He just prayed to god Eve would give him a chance to console her. He wanted so desperately for Eve to understand that he wasn’t going to let his Father abuse her verbally, but he was just caught in the moment. But nothing matters but her. He wanted nothing more than to finally be with Eve again. Alistair, be damned. Even if it meant he would be left penniless, he wouldn’t care, just as long as he could have Eve.

He ran as quick as his could with his two feet, and finally found Eve. He debated whether or not he should just run up to her…

Should he? What if Eve wanted nothing to do with him again?

He looked at his surroundings. They were at the wharf.

Will Eve still give their love a chance, once she finds out that Alistair was as good as disinherited him from the family fortune, and that he would of lost it all, for her? That was the chance he was willing to take. He needed to know if Eve still loved him.

But that was when his eyes darted to the boxes. He just saw someone or something moved. Either way, it was too dark to see anything…

It looked like a person. But what is he/she doing at this time of night, or worse yet, why is he/she sneaking around like that with no one around but Eve?

Suddenly, he felt his heart stopped. What was that…person… holding?

“EVE!” Julian shouted, running towards her. “EVE!”

Eve turned around, her eyes brimming with tears. “Julian, what are you doing here?” she hissed.

“Eve look out!” Julian yelled, almost tripping when running.

She couldn’t hear what Julian was saying, but panicked as Julian kept on running, not stopping at all… he looked like he was about to crash into her…

“JULIAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” Eve shouted.

Julian lurched forward, while Eve closed her eyes, fearing for her safety.

BANG!

“What was that?” Eve inquired. She hesitantly opened her eyes and found Julian’s arms around her. “Oh god,” she thought. There was no response from him. She slowly asked, ”…Julian?”

Julian’s hands slid off Eve and collapsed to the floor. Eve could see blood oozing rapidly from his back…

“OH MY GOD!” Eve shrieked, “JULIAN!”

“H-h-he’s… g-g-o-nee…” Julian stuttered.

She quickly rushed over to Julian and took out her cell phone, and her hands were shaking as she tried to dial the numbers.

“911, 911,” she repeated, “911…”
