Chapter 11: Julian Fights Back

The next morning, Julian woke up.

"What a crazy dream," Julian said. Julian looked down beside him to find that the bed was empty. "What the?" Julian asked. Julian got up and walked down the hallway when he ran into Gwen. "Gwen, have you seen your mother?" Julian asked.

"Yeah," Gwen said. "She left for anger management class a while ago."

"Aghhh!" Julian said.

"Julian, what's up with you this morning?" Gwen asked.

"Gwen, we have to get Rebecca out of that anger management class right now!" Julian said. Julian explained his nightmare. "Yesterday she said she wasn't going back to that place no matter what, I wonder why she changed her mind?"

"She said something about teaching TC Russell a lesson," Gwen said. Julian whimpered, knowing that he was probably going to have another run-in with TC's fists.

Gwen and Julian arrived at the anger management class within a few minutes. Sure enough when they got there, the instructor was huddled in a ball behind the chair rocking himself back and forth while TC and Rebecca bickered.

"I need a new job, I need a new job, I need a new job," the instructor repeated frantically. Julian jumped into the argument.

"TC, you really do need anger management you're scaring the poor instructor!" Julian said.

"Yeah, your attempt to hold in anger at the hospital last night was just scary but this is rediculous!" Rebecca said.

"Rediculous? You want rediculous, I'll give you rediculous!" TC said.

"No, I'll give you rediculous! I'm sick and tired of being used as your personal punching bag! Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" Julian demanded.

"Or better yet beat yourself over the head with a tennis racket." Rebecca said. Gwen sighed in embarrassment.

"That poor child," Gwen thought, wondering what Julian and Rebecca's baby was going to turn out like when it got older.

"Don't back talk, Crane!" TC said, raising his fist. Julian didn't flench.

"I mean it, TC! I'm sick of being used as your punching bag!" Julian said. Julian shoved TC down on the floor.

"Riot!" Someone yelled.

"People, people stop, we have to hold in our anger!" The instructor yelled.

"Yeah, yeah, enough of that!" A random man yelled, shoving the instructor into the waste basket.

"Yeah, if we listened to you we'd all be running around scaring people off with tomato soup cakes!" Rebecca yelled. "And having our houses get sucked into hell!" Pretty soon, the place had erupted into an all-out riot and things had gotten pretty drastic. Julian, Gwen, and Rebecca managed to sneak out.

"Julian- you actually stood up to TC!" Rebecca said in surprise.

"Yes, now let's get out of here before I have to again!" Julian said.

Later, TC arrived home, a smile on his face holding in anger which was brewing inside him. After Julian and Rebecca sneaked out during the riot, the anger management instructor had really gotten with the program.

"TC, how was anger management class today?" Eve asked.

"Anger-managed, didn't attack Julian-" TC said in a robot like voice. Eve's jaw dropped.

"TC, can you repeat that?" Eve asked. TC was still stunned over the incident.

"Julian actually stood up to me today and I didn't attack him," TC said in shame and defeat. Eve threw her arms around him.

"TC you're finally learning not to beat people up!" Eve said.

"Hey, I am!" TC realized. "Maybe this anger management thing isn't so bad after all," TC said, glad that Eve wasn't upset with him for beating people up today.
