Chapter 1

“Come on Kay , You need to get out . Its not healthy for you to just stay inside all day” Samoans voice came blaring through the phone.

Kay sighed listening to her friend trying to find ways to cheer her up .But the truth was nothing could cheer her up or fill that void she felt in her heart. It had been two months since she had lost her baby. She still could remember that day like it was yesterday’

*Flashback*
 

“ Hey doctor Russell, did you find out the sex of the baby yet” Kay asked her Eve Russell, who not only was her doctor but a long time family friend.

“ Yes young lady, and it turns out you’re going to a proud mother of a beautiful ,baby girl.” Eve said witha huge smile on her face . As she printed out sonogram picturs and handed them to Kay.

Kay sguealed in delight . She couldnt believe she was actually going to be a mother. All her life she had dreamed about having children ,none the less she never planned on having one this early in life, but it was still a little blessing . Kay figured this was gods’ way of giving her forgivness for all the terrible things she did ,by giving her a child tp look after .

“You know” Eve began “ I still remember when you were little and you and Simone would alway talk about your future and you said that one day you wanted to have a little girl , well it looks like your getting your .” Eve said smiling at the younger girl. Seeing Kay reminded her of herself the time she was pregnant, ,and she knew how hard it could be to be pregnant at such a young age.

“ Thank Dr. Russell” Kay left the hospital and headed to her house to give her father the sonogram pictures

Kay entered her house looking for her father ,she figured he was upstairs so she headed up the steps to look for him , Wen she reached the top of the steps she was only meet by her mother.

“ What are you doing here Kay” Grace asked sternly.

“Nice to see you to Mother. Im not here to hurt your precious Charity if thats what your thinking. Im here to see dad , to give him the songram pictures. Here I’ll give them to you to because after all your still the grandmother of my child. Though I may not like you that doesnt mean , I’ll deprive you from getting to know your grandchild” Kay said handing her estranged mother the pictures.

“ Kay this is a child of ‘EVIL’ and I will not allow you to have this child, especially since it’ll hurt Charity” Grace stated getting an evil glow in her eyes.
 

“ yeah mother ,weve been through this before and you have no say in my choice to keep my baby, Goodbye” Kay said than turned her heel to head downstairs. Before she could reach the step she felt a push than she felt tremendous pain ,than everything went black. Kay woke up in a hospital bed and say everyone around her with agony written all over ther faces. They didnt want to say it but she could tell something was horribly wrong . Instanly she felt different, as if she was incomplete. They didnt have to tell her . She could feel it, she had lost the baby.Shortly after she moved into her own house thinking it would erase all the sad memeories ,but instead she spent every night crying herself to bed.

“ Kay are you there , answer me” Simone’s voice came blaring through the reciever,bringing Kay back to reality.

“ Um yeah Simone , your probaly right . Some out time would be nice just the two of us ,like old times.”

“ I know Im right, Kay. There’s this night club I’ve always wanted to go to .Its called the Blue Note. Who knows maybe we’ll find someone to make us forget all about our lives” Simone said thinking about her own troubles with Whitney and Chad. “ So go get ready and I’ll be by to pick you up in an hour”

“Bye” Kay said hanging up the phone . A night out would help her forget about her troubles ,but not change her life ,Kay thought and went to get ready.
