Wait For Me, Chapter 20 (Evian, TC, Su)
by ejcrane
Struggling with all her might, Eve finally broke through the strap that
had her chest tied down to the bed, and sat upright and glared at the screen,
for now Julian was lying on his back and Su had just climbed upon him.
Tc’s evil grin grew as he watched Eve struggle with jealousy.
“You didn’t think he’d stay and wait for you, did you, Eve?” he asked
as he stepped into the room, “Crane has always been the same…the same bastard
he was in the past…”
Eve’s eyes looked off to the side as she listened to Tc, but she soon
shook off his words as she returned her eyes to the screen.
Julian’s hands were running up and down Su’s BARE BACK!! DAMN HIM!
~~~
Eve…God, Eve, I’ve missed you so… Julian smiled into her face as he imagined
her on top of him.
“Julian…” Su smiled and leaned down to kiss him…
~~~
Tc got Eve’s attention once more, but he diverted his eyes to the screen
when he watched Julian throw Su off of him onto the bed.
~~~
“I’m sorry, Su,” Julian wiped his mouth and apologized, “I can’t…I just
can’t…it’s too soon…” he said and stood in front of the window.
~~~
Eve was just about to look back at the screen, when Tc pushed the button
and turned the Tv off.
“I thought that was enough, didn’t you?” Tc asked just as he jabbed a
needle in Eve’s neck and watched her head droop back onto the pillow, “Rest,
baby…just rest…we have a big day tomorrow…” he chuckled.

Just like before, Julian got the distinct feeling that something wasn’t
right…and this feeling had to do with Eve. If she didn’t want to speak to
him, then why hadn’t she at least contacted Whitney or Simone? It didn’t
make sense, and nothing was going to make sense unless he found her and spoke
to her…and that’s just what he was going to do!
As soon as Julian denied Su, he watched her fall asleep and then snuck
out of their room, and went downstairs to the library where he was going
to call in some more of his men to search for Eve and the new awakened Tc
Russell. He was going to have them trace back Eve and Tc’s steps from the
hospital to where they were at this moment…
---
“Hello, beautiful…” the man chuckled as he greeted Eve.
Her heavily eyes blinked continuously to focus…
Al…Alis…Alistair? What…what was he…doing there?
Damn, her mouth was so dry due to what Tc had injected her with. Swallowing
to try and clear her scratchy throat, Eve tried to speak…
“Alistairrrrrrr?” she slurred, “What are you doing here?” she licked her
lips, “Where’s Tc?”
“Ah, I’m glad you’re back from the dead,” he joked and laughed to himself,
“And Tc…hmm, he’s off somewhere…the Crane mansion to be exact…” he looked
down to her as she laid there staring back up at him.
There was something different about the way Alistair was looking at her.
Why the hell would Tc leave Alistair here to watch after her? It didn’t make
sense…unless…unless they were in this together? No…no! Tc hated Alistair!
He wouldn’t join forces with this monster…he wouldn’t!
“What are you thinking about, Eve? So, quiet and all…” he asked seductively,
“You know, I never knew what Julian saw in you…but,” his eyes trailed down
her face to her neck, to her breasts…and lingered there for a while, and
then down the rest of her body, “Now, I see,” he raised a brow, “I see all
the attributes my cowardly son sees in you…and I like what I see,” his index
finger outlined her face and then found it’s way to her lips, “Such beautiful
full lips…OW, you little B*TCH!” he backhanded her after she bit his finger,
“You want me, I KNOW you do! Let’s just see what you do after this…” his injured
hand rested on her knee and then began inching upward along the inside of
her thigh.
Eve’s eyes grew wide. NO! Please, God…please don’t let Alistair do this,
she begged!
“JUST WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?!” Tc rushed in and clobbered
Alistair, “You touch her again, even if you just bump into her, and I swear
to you…I’LL KILL YOU!”
Alistair smiled and held up his hands.
“It’ll never happen again…so, what did you find?”
“Enough…”
“What the hell does that mean?”
“Just as I said…‘enough’. I collected enough evidence to have Julian incriminated.”
Eve gasped!
“Yes, darling…” Tc did his best impersonation of Julian and then laughed,
“Julian is going to be guilty of ‘kidnapping’ you and ‘killing’ me…and he
is going away for a long long LONG time!” he laughed again.
This time, Alistair joined in.
No…not Julian…
Eve began crying. How did things get this bad? Why couldn’t Julian find
her before Tc and Alistair put their plan into motion? Maybe he could…maybe…
She closed her eyes and swallowed the lump in her throat and began thinking
of Julian deep down in her heart…in her soul…
Julian…Julian…Julian…help me…save me…
---
Julian and Su had arrived home that evening, and just missed Tc. As the
night before, Julian snuck down into the library and again, began researching...
“Eve!” Julian cried out as he fell out of his desk chair onto the floor.
Eve was crying out to him. She was nowhere around, but he heard her! Her
voice…it was so…so sad, so helpless, so…
This was it! There was no stopping him now! Julian was going to find her;
was going to find her and make sure she was alright!
But just as he was going to go get some rest before he began his investigation,
the phone rang. Julian picked it up and received some disturbing news.
There had definitely been something that happened at the hospital…
“There was a telephone that had traces of blood and what looks to be like
hair follicles found on the buttons? What? How? Why?!” Julian exclaimed.
“Well, that we don’t know, Mr. Crane…but we DO know whose blood it belonged
to.”
“You do? Well…who?! Whose is it?!”
“It’s Ms. Cheng’s, sir.”
“Su-yun’s?!”
“Yes…sir, AND…the lab also informed us that her fingerprints were on the
phone as well…there was also another set of prints, but ONLY hers were identifiable…”
“Su must’ve been attacked with that phone the day she lost her memory.
But, I thought if Su was attacked…if she were attacked, then how are her
fingerprints on the weapon as well?”
“That’s what we were questioning too, sir…”
“Yes, well, uh,” Julian cleared his throat, “Keep looking for more evidence
so we can track down Eve…something’s not right here, I just know it…” Julian
said into the receiver.
“Yes, sir…I’ll keep in touch…”
Julian hung up and left the library. When he got to their bedroom, he
couldn’t help but stare at Su-yun’s face.
She wouldn’t have lied to him, would she have? Nah, no, no…what was he
thinking? Or…would she?
He soon fell tired of thinking up reasons why Su wouldn’t betray him,
and he fell asleep beside her…
