Whitney arrived at her first day at work at the country club teaching
tennis lesson feeling nervous and excited. She was lucky to find this job
she knew. It paid well and she was able to do what she loved best. She
walked through the front gate and looked around at all the rich and powerful
people of Harmony and the surrounding areas. For a minute she thought she
might have made a mistake taking this job. She didn't fit in with these
people, then an attractive gentleman with wavy brown hair and sparkling
green eyes came her way.
"You must be Whitney" he said with a smile. "I'm Daniel. I'll be your
supervisor until you get the hang of things."
Whitney smiled and thanked him. He gave her a quick tour of the place,
showed her where the tennis courts were, and left her to change into her
tennis uniform. She walked into the eloborate girls changing room and was
greeted by a stunning blond girl in a red bathing suit.
"Hi!" she said. "You must be the new girl. My names Sara. I can tell
by the look of you that you and I are going to be the best of friends.
If you need anyhting at all, don't hesitate to ask."
Whitney and Sara chatted for a while, then parted was, Whitney to teach
her first tennis lesson, Sara to lifeguard at the olympic sized swimming
pool.
Whitney entered the huge tennis court and was met by Daniel with a good
looking blond guy in tow.
"Hey Whitney, here's your first guinea pig. Good luck and don't be
too easy on him." he joked and walked off.
The blond guy extended his hand. "I'm Tim" he said. "Mold me as you
will."
Whitney grinned until she felt her face was going to burst. "I'm going
to LOVE this job!"
At the same time that Whitney was enjoying her first tennis lesson with the handsome Tim, her mother was returning home from a night shift at the hospital. She was tired and a little iritable. Ever since the hospital board had found out about her misdiagnosing Antonio, they had not been easy on her. She took it all in stride, admitting that she had made a mistake and that her choice in carrer made sure that she would pay for it. She was happy with her home life, having Whitney at home and keeping in close contact with Simone, but she missed TC. She had tired to talk him into staying, telling him that it had all been in the past before she met him, but TC was a stubborn man. He could not find it in his heart to forgive her.
With a heavy sigh, Eve collapsed onto the couch, kicking her shoes off,
noticing there was a message on the machine. She considered not checking
it, for Chad had been calling nearly non stop since the dinner at Theresa's
and she really didn't want to hear his voice at the moment. Curiosity ended
up getting the best of her and she finally pushed the button to play back
the message. A deep manly voice with a gentle accent greeted her.
"Hi Eve. It's David. I just wanted to let you know that I had a good
time having coffee with you the other day and was just wondering if you
were possibly free for dinner tonight. If you're too tired, I understand.
I'll be waiting for your call."
Eve smiled. She had enjoyed coffee with David as well. Both had had a hard year. When his deception of Grace came out, Sam had nearly killed him. After Sam and Grace had moved away from Harmony, David and John decided to stay. Ivy had kept David on at Crane Industries and the Crane Mansion being a general errand boy. He enjoyed it and John enjoyed living in Harmony. He was working at the coffee shack and had made great friends with Migual.
Eve stood, feeling like a teenager going on her first date. She had
planned on sleeping most of the day, but she was so excited, she wasn't
sure she would be able to. She took the stairs two at a time, eager to
confirm her date with David.
