Chapter 6

Jasolyn Crane smiled as she put her cell phone to her ear.
"Hello." A young voice answered.
"Ericka, I’m here in Harmony." She stated.
"Have you saw father yet? How is he doing? What about mom? Is she OK?" The voice asked sweetly."
"Who cares? I didn’t come home to check on our parents. I came to make sure our money is safe and secure." She said blankly.
"But Jas, from what I’ve read Chad seems cool." The girl told her sister.
"Your only 14 what do you know about life?"
"I’m 15 Jas, just four years younger than you." Ericka defended.
"So I was off a year. Look I just thought you’d like to know how I was doing so far."
"I don’ t care about our money Jas. It’s not like we don’t have plenty of it. I just want to know how our parent’s are dealing with the divorce. And Chad I want to know about our brother Chad." The girl snapped.
"What about him? He’s just the offspring of some woman our father had a fling with. He’d never make it as a Crane. Nor would his girlfriend. I’m going to be watching them Ericka, someone has to protect what is ours."
"Whatever. I honestly can’t believe I’m related to you Jasolyn Crane. I’ve got to go. Later." She said hanging up.
Jasolyn rolled her eyes and looked at the huge door in front of her. Standing in front of Julian Crane’s home a crooked smile came to her face. "Daddy I’m home." She laughed preparing to open the door.
~*~*~*~

Chad stood up and walked toward his door as someone pounded it from the outside.
"Who is it?" Theresa questioned from the couch.
"I don’t know." He shrugged opening the door.
"So This is where you live." The girl at the door said looking up at him.
"Lori?" He questioned.
"Well yeah. Last time I checked that was still my name." She chuckled.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"I’m not stalking you if that’s what you think. I came about your parents." She stated as Theresa walked to the door.
"Chad are you going to make this girl stand outside?" Theresa smiled.
"Yeah Chad you gonna let me just stand here?" Lori laughed as Chad moved out of Lori’s way.
"Oh sorry. Just shocked to see you here. How’d you find me anyway?" He asked as she examined his place.
"I asked around. Nice place by the way. Need’s a little color though."
Theresa laughed. "That’s what I told him too." She said walking over to Lori. "I’m Theresa by the way."
"Nice to meet ya. Chad’s told me about you."
"Yeah he said you were going to help us fix Julian and Eve up." Theresa smiled as they both sat down on Chad’s couch.
"Well it’s better than watching my parents fight over money. Girl’s gotta have something to do with her time right?" The small blonde asked.
"So do you have some sort of plan?" Chad asked her.
She nodded. "Dinner with you two. Remind them of young love and all that stuff." Lori said as if love meant nothing to her.
"Dinner with us?" Chad questioned.
Lori rolled her eyes. "Oh Lord, this is going to be harder than I thought. Jog their memories Chad. Let them see you two goo goo eyeing each other and they’ll remember when they did that. " She explained falling back against the couch.
Theresa couldn’t help but smile with amusement at the teenage girl that was teaching them a lesson in love. "I think that’s a wonderful idea."
"Hey that’s only step one." Lori told them feeling as if she was talking to two children. These two knew nothing about scheming which shocked her. She had read all about Miss Theresa Lopez-Fitgerald now she wondered how the girl had managed to scheme her way into Ethan Crane’s life, he must have been pretty dumb she guessed to herself.
"Step one? What’s next." Chad asked sitting down in his chair.
"You’ll find out soon enough." She laughed.
" I just hope Jasolyn doesn’t try to get in our way." Theresa sighed.
"Jasolyn Crane?" Lori questioned.
"Yeah how’d you know?" Chad asked shocked that this girl knew so much.
"I checked out some stuff on the Internet. Wow that girl’s horrible. Only after money." She said pausing. "Must be related to my mother." She said with a small chuckle.
"So do you think she’d really try to stop us from fixing Julian and Eve up?" Theresa asked.
"Are you kidding? She’s heartless. Well from what I read." Lori sighed.
"I can’t believe you did so much research on my family." Chad told her.
"I got bored today. The whole bad dressing caper I pulled ticked off Mother so much she sent me to my room, actually she dragged me there."
"So what are you doing here?" He asked.
Lori shrugged. "Oh she left home again so I did too." She smiled.
Chad grinned. This girl was going to be a big help to him and Theresa. In fact she could be the very person that helped him make one of his dreams come true.

*~*~*~*~

Eve walked toward Julain’s home and frowned. She had to talk to him about their son, and their past. Chad had asked her about her former love for Julian, and she was sure he would soon ask Julian the same thing, if he hadn’t already. She had to make sure Julian wouldn’t say something crazy or tell Chad too much about their past. She had loved Julian, once. That was the truth, but then she met T.C. and they had Whitney and Simone, she loved them with all her hearts. And even though T.C. and left her, part of her heart would always remain with him. She frowned as she thought about her children, only Chad was talking to her. The girl’s just couldn’t handle her past, or her lies. But Chad, he didn’t care. He loved her for who she was then, and who she had become. She still Couldn’t believe he was alive. Her baby boy was a grown man who lived in Harmony and loved her. When she looked at him she could see his father in him, he was proud like Julian, and strong willed. Yes he got that from Julian, she had once loved that about Julian but now she found it annoying at times. Or was annoying really the right word? He just got to her at times, when her mind would float back to the past and back to the man Julian used to be. But he wasn’t that man anymore. She had to keep reminding herself of that.
"Get it together Eve." She told her self as she came out of her deep thought. Looking up she realized she was at the door but there was a young blonde standing there also.
As the girl turned around Eve smiled. "Hello."
"Hi." The girl said then looked at Eve again. "Do I know you?" She questioned.
"I don’t believe so. I’m Doctor Eve Russell." She said extending her hand.
The girl let a strange smile fall on her face. "So you’re Eve Russell. Well Dr. Russell, it’s so great to meet you. I’m Jasolyn Crane, the daughter of your former lover." The girl said laughing on the inside at the strange look Eve suddenly gave her.
