You Made Me-Chapter 7 (Savy, Ethan, Nicholas.)
by Heated fire

Kay paced some what as she waited for Eve to return with her test results. She still did not fully understand why Doctor Russell insisted that she take her tests in private. After she told her the symptoms, Eve asked every one to leave the room so she could privately examine Kay which did nothing to ease the nerves of Sam and Grace, but they obliged Eve and left the room.

Finally getting to tired to walk up and down, Kay let herself fall with a heavy sigh to the sofa. Her eyes fell on the picture that sat on the table next to her. It was a picture of Miguel and Charity taken last year during Christmas. Both of them were smiling happily, Charity holding a big red teddy bear in her hand.

With a painful and angry sigh, she placed the picture face down on the table, just as Eve walked back into the room. Kay stood as she saw her. “Doctor Russell, did you examine my test results?” She asked.

Eve looked at Kay, and for some reason her eyes were filled with sadness. “Yes Kay.” She stated. “And I know what the problem is.”

Kay quickly tensed some. “Wait there’s a problem?” She asked. “I though I was having just a little flu bug or some thing.”

Eve shook her head. “No Kay, I am afraid that it’s a lot more serious than that.” She stated.

Kay quickly shifted her weight to one side as she did when she got nervous. “Well what is it?” She asked feeling her nerves jiggling.

“Kay,” Eve said her name in a sad breath. “Darling your pregnant.” She stated.

Kay who had closed her eyes, slowly opened them when she heard Eve deliver the blow. “What?” She asked in a small voice.

“Honey, You're pregnant.” Eve said sadly. Much to Eve’s surprise, a small smile played across Kay’s face. “Kay did you heart what I said?” She asked.

Kay nodded her head some. “Yes, yes I did.” She stated. “And this....it changes every thing.”

Eve nodded her head. “Honey I am afraid I don’t understand.” She stated. “Yes it does change every thing, but certainly not for the better. I mean, you still have a few months of high school left, and then how are you going to manage college?” She asked.

“It doesn’t matter.” Kay said shaking her head, her voice taking on a far away tone. “He’s mine now.”

“Kay.” Eve said confused. “Whose yours, what are you.....”

“Eve.” Both Kay and Eve turned around to see Sam with Grace and the other occupants of the house. “How is she?” He asked.

“It’s nothing serious is it Eve?” Grace asked.

Kay smiled as Eve looked back at her. “Doctor Russell please.” She stated. “Allow me.” She said walking to the middle of the room.

Grace tensed some at the look on her daughters face. It was one of satisfaction. Suddenly a chill ran up her spine. “Oh dear God.” She whispered.

Sam heard her and looked at her worriedly. “Grace, honey what is it?” He asked.

“Sam, it’s evil.” Grace stated. “I can feel it. There’s so much heart ache and so much pain. And it’s all going to happen right now.” Her eyes fell directly on her daughter.

For some reason, Charity felt the strong sense to grab a hold of Miguel’s hand. Part of her could fell that some thing was wrong. That some thing hard was about to be thrown at them, and if she did not hang on, it would tear them apart forever.

“Excuse me every one.” Kay said when she saw all eyes on her. “I have an announcement to make.”

“Kay,” Eve quickly spoke up. “ Don’t you think this is a private thing. That should be discussed just among family.”

“Nonsense Doctor Russell.” Kay said her smile never fading from her face. “Besides what I have to say involves every one in this room.”

Jessica walked up to Simone. “What is she up to?” She whispered.

Simone shook her head. “I don’t know.” She said nervously. “But that look in her eyes. It scares me.”

“You know it’s amazing how life can just throw you a curve ball.” Kay began talking bringing all eyes to her once again. “I mean, one minute I was on the floor in pain, part of me whishing I was dying because I felt I had lost the most important person in my life.” She said as her eyes roamed around the room and the people, in it. “You know mom, dad.” She said causing Grace to look at her daughter, fear and confusion written all over her face. “Lately we have not seen eye to eye about a number o f things.” She said surprising both her parents that she would say that out loud. “The main one being Charity.”

All the eyes in the room seemed to fall on Charity who was watching ay closely but clinging tightly to Miguel’s hand. “Kay!” Grace quickly called her daughter. “I want to talk to you in private.”

“No, no, no mom.” Kay said shaking her head. “No more secrets.” She stated letting her eyes fall on David. “They only kill and destroy, which s why I need to say what I have to say.” David shifted nervously.

“Kay.” Miguel said eyeing her cautiously. “What’s this about, and what does it have to do with Charity.”

“Well Miguel,” Kay said the smile growing some as she walked closer to the engaged couple. “For the past four years I have watched you and Mom and dad slew Charity with attention and love and compassion, while all I did was fade into the back ground. Alone, and forgotten.”

“Kay please,” Grace said in a nervous voice. “Your scaring me.”

“Honey, no one forgot you.” Sam stated.

Kay smirked. “Of course not.” She stated. “You just put me on the back shelf until you needed me to give up the room I worked my ass off for Charity, or until you needed to take all the money I saved on a car to but Charity a wardrobe, because she lost every thing when her mommy died in the fire.”

“Kay!” Grace snapped angrily. “That is enough.”

Kay nodded her head. “May be so.” She stated. “But it’s not going to stop me.” Her eyes then fell on her trembling cousin. She smiled even wider “What’s the matter dear.” She asked. “Your shaking like a leaf.”

Charity shifted some. “I just...I just want to know what this is about.”

“Well Charity this is about me and you.” Kay stated. “About me finally getting my revenge on you.”

Much to her surprise, Charity felt her hand slipping from Miguel’s, put she was not loosening her grip. “Revenge?” She asked surprise. “For what?”

“Oh please.” Kay said her entire smile falling. “Did you really think I would let you get away with just swooping into my house, stealing my room, my car, my parents, my friends, and the one thing I loved most in the world. Did you really think you could do all that to me, and get away with it.”

“Kay I don’t know what you think.” Charity said her voice now shaking. “But I never meant to purposely hurt you.”

“Well you did.” Kay stated. “And what makes it even worse is that you never apologized, but it’s alright. I’ve won Charity. You’ve lost. You’ve lost it all.”

“No, please stop.” Charity said in a pleading tone.

“That’s enough Kay.” Miguel stated. “ I am getting angry.”

“Sorry Miguel.” Kay stated. “It’s nothing against you, but this is much needed on my part.”

“Well then just say what it is your going to say and stop scaring Charity.” Miguel stated. “Other wise let us all go back and enjoy thanks giving.”

“Very well Miguel.” Kay stated backing away from him some until she was right back in ten middle. “Well every one there really is no easy way to say this but uh, I’m pregnant.” She stated.

“What!” Sam bellowed.

“With Miguel’s baby.” Kay added her smile growing as she watched the looks of shock go around everyone’s face. Except for Miguel’s, who held a look of devastation.

“No.” Charity said in a small voice as her hand slid completely out of Miguel’s hand. “NO!” Se screamed.

“Charity please!” Miguel begged. “Let me explain.” He stated.

“Well, there’s nothing to explain.” Grace spoke up. “This is not true Kay is just lying!” She said angrily.

“Grace.” Sam said,surprised.

“I’m sorry Sam but this has gone on far enough.” Grace said angrily. “There is no way Kay is pregnant, especially with Miguel’s baby.”

Kay smirked. “You wish Mommy dearest.” She stated, She then looked behind her. “Tell them doctor Russell. Tell them you ran the test, and I am pregnant.”

Eve felt all the eyes of everyone in the room on her and hated it. Grace quickly stepped forward. “Eve is it true?” She asked. “Is Kay pregnant with Miguel’s baby?” She asked.

“I can’t say for sure whose baby it is.” Eve stated. “But Kay is most certainly pregnant.”

“And yes Mother, the baby is Miguel’s.” Kay stated. “Unlike you I have only been with one man in my life, now ask yourself? Whose the real tramp.” Grace angrily raised her hand to strike her daughter but Kay swiftly caught it. “No, no, no.” She stated. “You don’t want to accidentally hurt your grand child.” She sad as she watched her mother cover her face in sadness.

Pilar quickly pushed past the crowd and went to her son. “Miguel is this true?” She asked in a pleading tone. “Did you really cheat on Charity, did you really have sex with Kay?” she asked.

He said the begging and the sorrow in her eyes, but her knew that he could not lie about this. “Mama’ it was a mistake.” Miguel stated.

“Could you stop calling it that?” Kay asked. “It did after all give us our first born child.”

“It was a mistake Kay!” Miguel yelled at her angrily. “I never would have willingly made love to you. I was tricked.”

“The hell you were!” Sam yelled getting in the younger man's face. “You got my daughter pregnant and now your using some excuse that you did not mean for it to happen.”

“But I didn’t!” Miguel insisted. He moved past Sam and rushed to Charity. “Please Charity you have to believe me.” She stated. “I thought I was making love to you I would never....”

The sting of her slap took him by surprise, as well as it did every one else. She narrowed her eyes at him as she spoke. “Stay the hell away from me.” She ordered in a shaking, heart broken voice. “I hate you, and I will always hate you! FOREVER!” She screamed pushing past him and running up stairs.

“Charity!” Miguel yelled, but it was a lost cause.

“Charity, sweet heart!” Grace said running up the stairs behind her.

Sam angrily looked to Miguel. “Get out.” He ordered. “And don’t let me ever catch you around my niece or daughter again.”

“Dad!” Kay quickly said in shock.

“Now wait a minute Sam.” Luis spoke up. “Now this is Miguel’s baby to, and he should be in his life!”

“Kay has her family, she does not need Miguel!” She stated.

“Dad stop.....”

“Damn it Kay just be quiet!” Sam yelled at her. He then looked back at Luis. “We will be fine with out Miguel.” He stated.

Luis shook his head. “It’s not happening that way Sam.” He stated. “Miguel will see this child.”

“Over my dead body.” Sam growled shocking every one. “Now get your brother the hell out of my house or I’ll move him myself!”

“Look, fuck this” Miguel cursed grabbing his jacket.

“Miguel wait!” Kay said running towards him.

“Get away from me Kay!” Miguel yelled not allowing her to touch him. “I can’t deal with you right now.” With that he stormed out the house Luis, Pilar and Antonio behind him.

Kay watched him go in surprise. “No.” She stated in a whisper. “It isn’t supposed to be this way!” She said running into the kitchen in tears.

Eve looked to Sam. “Sam, wait.” She said catching him before he went to confront Kay. “Your angry right now, it will just get out of hand.”

Sam nodded his head in agreement. “You're right.” He stated. “I’m going to go check on Charity.” He said walking past her.

At the Crane Mansion, Ivy wheeled into the dinning room where thanksgiving dinner was being served. However, when she saw Theresa, her face fell. “What the hell are you doing here?” She asked.

“Mother.” Ethan said entering into the dining room behind her with his sisters, brother, Sheridan and Julian and Rebecca. “We were invited.”

“Who the hell by?” Ivy asked.

“By me, Ivy.” Sheridan stated. “And I am a blood Crane so you and Rebecca can pitch a fit all you want but Theresa and Ethan are staying for dinner.”

Both Rebecca and Ivy shared an eye roll at the statement. “So mother, how are you feeling?” Ethan asked.

Ivy held her posture and looked to Nicholas. “Would you please help me into my chair?” She asked her youngest son.

Nicholas smiled some at the look on Ethan’s face and then tended to his mother. Ethan watched his brother help his mother into her seat and could not help but feel a small twinge of jealously.

Theresa smiled sadly at Ethan as he took his seat. “I wish that us getting back together could have been on better terms.” She stated. “I am sorry that your mother made you choose.”

Sheridan over heard and sat on the other side of Ethan. “Ivy is just being stubborn.” She said softly. “But believe me, she’ll crack. No matter what she says Ethan you mean the world to her.”

“Well she has her way of showing it.” Ethan said as he watched Ivy throw Julian a dirty look on some comment he made.

“So mother, I bet you're happy to be out and about.” Elizabeth stated. “Being locked up like you have been could drive a person mad.”

“Believe me you have no idea.” Ivy stated as they made small talk until the cooks brought in their Thanksgiving Feast.

Elizabeth secretly looked to Katherine and gave her slight nod of the head, and Katherine winked back.

“Oh what’s this.” Katherine said suddenly looking on the floor and picking up the rather large ear ring that they had found on the floor “It’s an ear ring.” She said showing it off. “A rather large ear ring.”

“Oh that’s mine.” Ivy stated nonchalantly.

“AH HA!” Elizabeth jumped up pointing at her mother. “I KNEW IT WAS....” She suddenly stopped. “Wait what?” She asked.

“Yours?” Katherine questioned. “This tacky thing.”

Ivy smiled some, but looked at Elizabeth in confusion. “I wore it a long time ago though, a some hallowen party your father forced me to go to. I think I went as a gypsy.”

Elizabeth cleared her throat some. “Well that it explains that.” She said sitting back down some what embarrassed.

Katherine leaned closer to her sister. “Way to go Sherlock.” She snapped in a whisper. Elizabeth only rolled her eyes.

Julian shook his head some. “Good God girl have you gone  mad?” He asked Elizabeth.

“Well being in close proximity to you does so that to me.” Elizabeth stated she and her mother raising their wine glasses and toasting to the insult. Elizabeth, being more like her mother, enjoyed torturing her father, but deep down, way deep down she really loved him.

Before Julian could retaliate the phone rang and one of the maids hurried in to answer it. “Crane Mansion.” She stated “Just a moment please.” She said putting the phone to her hand. “Mr. Crane sir, that was your father, he wishes to talk to you and Mrs. Crane privately.”

Julian raised his eye brow at the maid. “Which Mrs. Crane?” He asked. “I have two ex.’s and an up coming.”

“Mrs. Ivy Crane.” The maid clarified.

Ivy looked to Julian some what suspiciously. “What the hell for?” She asked.

“How the hell should I know?” Julian asked. “That man always wants some thing.” He then looked around for a minute. “I think we should go to the library.”

“Oh goody.” Ivy said. “Alone time with you. Nicholas darling will you help me?” She asked.

“Oh goody.” Nicholas mocked her as he stood and helped her into her wheel chair and she and his father went into the library.

“I wonder what that was about?” Sheridan asked confused.

“I don’t know but how dare Alistair call Ivy Mrs. Crane?” Rebecca asked some what annoyed.

A collective eye roll went around the room. “So Ethan,” Nicholas spoke up. “Kinda gettin the cold shoulder of late huh?” He asked cockily.

“Nicholas.” Sheridan said in a warning tone.

“No it’s alright Sheridan.” Ethan stated. “I can understand Nicholas wanting to get in a few jabs. He has been second fiddle all his life.”

“Oh,” Nicholas faked hurting. “Words from the bitter dethroned love child? Or do you prefer bastard.”

“Ohhh.” Both Katherine and Elizabeth cooed.

“Look that’s enough -both of you.” Sheridan said seriously.

“Sheridan’s right.” Theresa stated. “It’s Thanksgiving. We need to be thankful we have each other, and not take that for granted.”

“Put it in a Hallmark.” Elizabeth stated.

Sheridan shook her head trying not to laugh. “Now I see why they stay shipped away.” She mumbled.

In the library, Julian walked up and down the floor nervously as he spoke to his father. “Now father are you absolutely sure about this?” He asked. “We’ve done this sort of thing before. Thinking it was possible he escaped, and it turned out that....”

“I am not stupid Julian!” Alistair’s voice boomed in the library. “I know we have been through this before, but his doctor and the police have assured me. He’s gone.”

“And undoubtedly headed straight over here to pay us back.” Ivy said nervously as she played with her fingers.

“Yes, we do have a problem.” Alistair stated.

Ivy could hear the fear mounted in his voice, and Alistair was never one to fear any thing, so she knew that this was beyond him. “I know I shouldn't have,” Ivy spoke up. “But I prayed this moment would never come.”

“Should we alert the rest of the family?” Julian asked.

“Oh sure Julian.” Alistair said sarcastically. “And then just ensure pure mayhem all over the town.”

“Well how else can we keep Nicholas and the girls safe?” Ivy asked. “I mean there is not a doubt in my mind that he’ll go after them too.”

“We’ll just have to buff up security.” Alistair stated. “Make sure that they are followed every where twenty four hours a day.”

“God it’s my worst nightmare come true.” Julian said pouring himself a drink.

“The power that boy has can destroy the entire Crane empire.” Alistair stated.

Ivy rolled her eyes. “Forget the damn empire.” She stated. “He is out to get us to....kill us.”

“As I said.” Alistair spoke up. “Just keep on your toes, or in your case Ivy what ever you can muster.” She rolled her eyes. “Should push come to shove we will then consider filling Sheridan and your children in, but not until we have absolutely no choice.”

“And in the meantime?” Julian asked.

“Pray to God that the devil takes him first, before he reaches Harmony.” And with that. Alistair hung up.

Julian looked to Ivy and saw her fiddling. “Are you alright?” He asked.

Ivy shook her head. “No.” She answered. “I’m terrified.”

“Welcome to Harmony.” He read the sign, an evil glint in his eyes. “Well mommy, daddy. Your little boys come home, and this will be one hell of a reunion.” He brought his hands to his pocket and pulled out a picture, on it were the faces of Julian, Ivy, Nicholas, Katherine and Elizabeth. Under the picture the word die was written in big bold letters, in what appeared to be smeared blood.
