Back in Time, Chapter 15
by ejcrane
An hour later…
Eve snuck out of her room, and found herself outside the private ICU room
of none other than…Julian Crane. Why did she decide to see him?
Her eyes scanned the room and her ears perked up to the many beeps of
the many machines and monitors hooked up to Julian. He was lying on his
back, the covers to his waist, his hands by his sides, and the tube from
the respirator was inserted in his mouth.
Sitting by his side, her eyes watched as his chest rose and fell with
each compression of the machine.
What was he doing with her? What was she doing with him?! What were they
doing TOGETHER?!
She hoped that TC hadn’t gotten any clue to their past. No, no, he couldn’t
have…
Well, wasn’t he curious to how and why they were together? Oh, God…what
would she tell him?
Eve then glared at Julian’s prone body…
“Damn, b*stard!” she bent down closer to Julian’s head, “If this doesn’t
kill you, then I will…that’s IF you decide to tell TC about us!” she hissed
into his ear.
“Don’t think that just because you are in a coma and helpless in that
bed that I’m going to feel compassion for you! Ugh, I hate you, Julian Crane…I
hate you more than anything!” Eve said into his ear.
It had been over a week, and Julian was still alive, but, the thing about
it was that the respirator wasn’t hooked, nor was it keeping him alive anymore.
He was now breathing on his own; something the doctors thought would never
happen.
Standing over next to the window, Eve opened up Julian’s chart and read
his prognosis. Rolling her eyes at the signs of improvement, she then diverted
them towards the door, which opened and watched a nurse come in.
“Oh, I didn’t know the doctor was making rounds today,” the nurse smiled.
She didn’t recognize Eve. Mr. Crane’s doctor had always been Dr. Joby.
“I can come back when you are finished…”
“No, no, I’m finished,” Eve lied, “I’m just jotting down some notes into
his chart…go on with your task.” And she turned back to the window and went
back to reading.
The nurse shrugged and walked up to his side. She glanced up again, and
noticed that Eve hadn’t taken her eyes off the file, so, she went on with
her task, as she was told.
Emily pulled down the covers to Julian’s ankles. She then reached behind
him and untied his gown. The next thing…
Eve dropped the chart onto the floor when she swung around and caught
sight of Julian’s naked body.
Her mind flashed back to her “singing” days, where Julian introduced himself
to her and then converted her from the innocent girl she was to a drug and
booze addicting wh*re. The things he would make her do…
She began to glare at him with glassy eyes.
Watching as the nurse scrubbed Julian’s chest, Eve’s eyes traveled down
south…and her mind traveled back in time again…
She was on her knees…satisfying Julian. Something she had become used
to, and didn’t mind doing. Anything, just to hear his moans…just to know
she excited him…
…And now, she was on her back, on top of the piano on the stage back at
The Blue Note, and he was between her legs…smiling at her, readying himself
and her for what was about to come…the pleasure he was about to give the
two of them…
“Dr. Russell? Is something the matter?”
‘No.’ Eve mouthed the words back to the nurse, and she continued to sponge
bathe her patient.
And Eve left…
Three days later, Eve made another unexpected check up on Julian. Still,
he hadn’t woken up.
Tc still pestered her about her being with Julian at the time of the accident.
She had no answers for him, which brought up some suspicions…
“Well, still here, hmm?” she laughed, “Oh, come on, Julian! Why don’t
you do me and all of Harmony a favor, and just DIE!”
Pushing back her chair to stand, Eve was caught off guard when Julian
grabbed her wrist and held onto it tightly. She turned back and watched
as Julian coughed and attempted to sit up. Her first instincts should have
been to call the other doctors, but she panicked under his firm hold and
began struggling.
“Let go! Let me go!” she cried out and watched as Julian sat up.
He pulled the collar of her jacket which brought her face inches from
his.
Julian’s eyes traveled from hers down her nose to her full lips.
“Hello, Eve…” he sucked in a breath when he felt his lips touch hers.
“Don’t you ‘HELLO’ me! Now, LET ME GO!”
“Hmm, let you go? First things first…”
“You wouldn’t dare!” she exclaimed and watched his eyes on her lips, then
travel back to her own eyes.
“You get out of my room, and DON’T COME BACK! The hatred you feel for
me, Eve, is reciprocated,” he raised a brow and shoved her away from him,
“GET OUT!” he growled and laid back down.
Stumbling backwards, she finally caught her balance and wondered what
the hell was going on! Julian hated her? No! She was supposed to HATE him,
for what he did to her and their child!
Julian turned over, after not hearing a door close, and met her confused
eyes.
“What?! Still here?! What part of ‘get out’ don’t you understand?!” he
glared, “FINE! If you won’t leave, then I will…I don’t even know what the
hell I’m still doing here!” he sat up and picked up the phone and began dialing,
“Yes, Sheridan, dear, I need for you to send someone to pick me up from
the hospital…the doctors are all so rude…” he said and twirled the cord
around his fingers while he eyed Eve.
She finally decided that she couldn’t take anymore of this and left.
