~A Beautiful Mess~ Chapter 9 (Kaguel/Chadresa)

A Beautiful Mess
Julian Crane sat his drink down as he stared out his office window.
His home was his again, he smirked. He only had one Ex-wife living in his
house and she was married to his son. Such a strange life he lived he thought
as he heard his door open.
"Julian, are you busy?" The warm voice spoke to him.
His heart raced as he slowly turned around. "Eve." He smiled. "I’m
never too busy for you."
"I just saw our son." She smiled, her face glowing as she spoke those
words. ‘Their son, the child they made’.
"I hope your not too angry with Chad." Julian smiled. "He’s a smart
boy."
"Yes, I realize that." Eve nodded. "He seems to know what he’s doing,
Theresa too."
"Theresa." Julian laughed. "She’s something isn’t she? Never stops."
"She’s actually very intelligent."
"Yes, I guess she is." Julian nodded. "She does always get what she
wants."
"Well now she and Chad have found a way to give you something you want
Julian." Eve smiled walking over to him. "Your dream come true."
"They found a way to give me you?" He smirked. "Because that is my
dream darling."
Eve frowned. "No Julian, not me."
"I kicked Ivy and Rebecca out, did Chad tell you that? Even Ethan and
Gwen left."
"I’m glad you finally stood up to them." Eve spoke. "Now about what
I came to talk to you about."
"Yes, you said its something I’ve always wanted? Care to explain dear?"
Julian asked touching her hand.
"They want to vote you in as CEO Julian. Chad and Theresa want to help
you get the company away from your father."
Julian’s eyes became wide. "You have me curious, go ahead my darling
Eve, tell me more." He smirked, watching as a smile floated to her face
as well.

Fox Crane stood in the upstairs study, smugly he looked into the mirror
and smiled at his reflection. The night before he had received a interesting
phone call, and he just had to come to Harmony and see what was happening.
"Hello." A soft voice spoke as he turned to stare at the beautiful
woman smiling at him from the door. "You must be Nick."
He smiled at the woman, she was his step-mother, no his sister-in-law,
yes that was her title now he realized. "When it comes to beautiful women
like yourself, I prefer Fox." He smiled kissing her hand gently.
Theresa laughed lightly, "Now I see why they call you Fox. I was very
surprised to hear that you came in such a hurry. We could have talked about
this over the phone."
Fox shook his head. "I’ve saw your photos, heard all about the lovely
Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald, I wanted to meet you for myself, see what the
fuss was about." Smirking he looked her up and down. "Now I completely
understand."
Theresa only smiled at his words. "I just assumed you were far away
from here." She spoke.
Fox winked. "When it comes to me, never just assume anything, beautiful."
So he was a young Julian, Theresa thought to herself. Well, at least
she knew how to work him she realized smiling up at him. "Fox, how do you
feel about your grandfather?" She questioned leaning against the brown
wooden desk.
"When he’s handing me money I’m quite pleased with him." Fox spoke,
"But otherwise, he’s just as annoying as the rest of my family."
Theresa smiled slyly, "But don’t you hate having to ask him for the
money? It must get tiresome."
"Your up to something." Fox smiled, "What is it that you want from
me, Mrs. Crane?"
Theresa laughed, "Your on to me Fox, I do want something."
"And that is?"
"I want you to help Chad and I vote your grandfather out of the company.
Your father would be voted in as CEO, and if all goes as planned, you would
be set for life. No more begging Grandpa Al for money." Theresa smiled.
"You know Theresa, I must admit I’m impressed." Fox spoke a smirk on
his face as he faced her. "For someone so young, you have managed to do
a lot in this family. Not only did you give birth to the youngest Crane
son, you also married the oldest." He laughed. "Oh but lets not forget,
almost marrying Ethan, and then marrying father. You’ve been a very busy
girl."
Theresa gritted her teeth, she wanted to slap the smirk off of his
face. How dare him speak to her like that. Instead she forced a smile,
"I’m sure it was comments like that, that got you kicked out of all of
those schools. You’ve lead a very interesting life as well. I read all
about your professor at Harvard, you know the one Fox. I’m sure you were
relieved when you found out you weren’t the father of her child. "
"You have done your work." Fox sighed. "Not many people know about
that little incident, father and mother still have no clue. For the record,
Jennifer wasn’t much older than me, too bad her husband found out about
it."
Theresa rolled her eyes, "My point is, we both have our pasts, this
isn’t about your affairs or my mistakes. I wanted to talk to you about
the company, about what we can both gain from your father becoming CEO."
"And what is it you gain Theresa?" Fox asked. "More money? A bigger
desk at the company? Just what do you want?"
Theresa smirked, "Its quite simple, I want revenge."

"Kay, why did you bring me here?" Miguel whined as they walked into
the wedding shop. "Shouldn’t Simone be helping you pick out a dress?"
"I’m no t exactly talking to Simone right now." Kay frowned.
"What about Theresa? She offered to buy the dress." Miguel spoke as
Kay yanked him into the store.
Kay laughed lightly, "Miggs, your sister is a princess wanta be, that’s
not me. We would totally disagree on dresses."
"So you make me come with you? What do I know about dresses?" Miguel
questioned.
"You know what I look good in." She smirked. "Your a guy, the guy I’m
marrying. I’ll just take your ideas and use them to narrow the field."
"I’m going to be here for awhile, I can feel it." Miguel sighed.
Kay shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe." She grinned. "Afterward we can
go grab something to eat. This was the first morning I didn’t find myself
heading to the bathroom as soon as I opened my eyes." She spoke. "Your
Mama said count my blessings, I might be even sicker tomorrow."
Miguel laughed at Kay as he watched her stare at the expensive wedding
gowns. He was proud of his sister for giving Kay this one thing. He knew
once they said their ‘I do’s’, expensive things would be out of the question
for awhile. He had looked in the paper at several apartments, but he knew
that they were on the other side of town. He couldn’t imagine Kay living
in some cramped up apartment, but he knew that was all he could afford.
Money would be tight, and life would be hard, harder than even he was use
to. He knew more about pinching pennies than Kay did, but he still wasn’t
sure what living on his own would be like. Luis wouldn’t be there to fall
back on. This was his life and his family and he knew the future was going
to be a tough one.
"What about a maid of honor?" Miguel asked looking over at Kay. "Have
you decided who you want yet?"
Kay lowered her head. "Can’t be Simone or Jess, they’re not speaking
to me." She admitted. "And I don’t really have any other female friends.
I thought about asking your sister, since she is buying the dress, but
Theresa and I have never gotten along."
"Remember when we were little?" Miguel asked. "You said I would be
your best man?"
"And I was going to be your maid of honor." Kay nodded. "Seems like
so long ago."
"Kay, I think asking Theresa to be your matron of honor would be a
great idea.’ Miguel smiled. "It might bring you two closer together."
"You’re asking Luis to be your best man right?" Kay asked touching
a beige dress.
"Yeah of course." Miguel spoke walking over to Kay. "That one would
look nice on you."
"You think?" She asked staring at the strapless dress. "It has a sexy
look to it Miguel, I’m pregnant."
"Pregnant women can be sexy." He laughed. "You should try it on."
"Um my stomach would bulge out of that Miguel, no way!"
"Not if we get married in early January." Miguel smiled. "Your going
to be a beautiful bride Kay."
"Your bride." Kay spoke. "That’s all that really matters."

Theresa walked into Chad’s room a sly smile on her face. "Good news."
She spoke as he looked up at her from his desk.
"Fox is going to help us?"
"Close." She smiled. "He’s going to think about it."
"Let me guess." Chad grinned standing up and walking toward her. "You
did your magic on him? A little smile, a few giggles?"
"Chad!" She laughed. "Are you accusing me of flirting with your brother?"
"I’m accusing you of working my brother." Chad winked. "So did ya?"
"I’m a married woman." She spoke crossing her arms. "That would be
so wrong!"
"That would be so you." Chad smiled.
"Well maybe I did flirt a bit, but Fox is smart, he knows my game.
Still the idea of taking down his grandpa appeals to him."
Chad put his hands on Theresa’s shoulders. "You don’t see what you
are capable do you?" He asked. "The brains you have and what you can do
with them. You can be anything you want to be T."
"That’s why I’m going back to school." She smiled. "I want to be more
than just ‘A Crane wife’. Chad I’m ready to get my life back, and you’ve
helped me with that."
"You can have it all T, I know you can."
"Well all I want right now is revenge on your grandfather, after that,
I’ll take on the world."
Chad laughed. "Lets just take on Harmony first babe."
"Together?" Theresa smiled her brown eyes sparkling.
"Together."
