In the hall, Stefan has finished talking with some doctors about Sasha's condition. He is waiting for Alan to brief him. Nikolas walks past Stefan, and right into the elevator as it is clea that Stefan wanted to talk to Nikolas. " Nikolas!", he calls, but Nikolas just leaves. Katherine witnesses the scene, and hurries over to Stefan.

" Stefan. What's wrong? You look so worried."

" Well, it's my daughter, Katherine."

" What about her?"

" She was in a plane accident."

" Oh My God. Is she?"

" She is alive and doing well. Or so they say. I am waiting for Alan to come by and brief me on her case. He's the attending physician. When I fiest heard that she was at General Hospital, all sorts of scenarios went through my head."

" I can imagine...I hopw that she is doing alright. Is she on this floor?"

" Yes. In room 634."

At this moment, Alexis gets off the elevator, and heads over to Stefan.

" Were you EVER going to tell me that she was here?"

" Alexis, I came to the hospital as soon as I got the call."

" And you could not pick up your cell phone and call Wyndemere? You must have known that I would want to know. Does Nikolas know? Did you bother to call HIM?"

" Alexis, yes..."

" Alexis, Stefan has been trying to ascertain the extent of his daughter's injuries. I am sure that he did not mean to exclude you, but taking care of his daughter was first priority. I'm sure you understand. And Nikolas just finished visiting her."

Alexis is trying NOT to shoot the look of Death at Katherine. " Well, thank you Katherine. For the information. Stefan.."

Stefan sees Alan.

" Alan! I need you have a moment with you. Alexis, are you coming?"

Stefan and Alexis go over to the lounge and sit with Alan discussing Sasha's case.

Katherine decides that she should go and see Sasha. She walks into her room.

" Yes? I don't need anymore help, nurse."

" I am not a nurse. My name is Katherine. Katherine Bell. Maybe Stefan or Nikolas have told you about me?"

"No. Neither one has mentioned you to me."

" Well, Katya. Your father has spoken of you to me."

" What did you call me?"

" Katya. Isn't that your name?"

" No one calls me that but my father."

" What does everyone else call you?"

" My family calls me Sasha."

" Well then, Sasha it is."

" Is it?"

" I just wanted to let you know that your father and Nikolas are quite worried about you and want to make sure that you're fine. In fact, that's what Stefan is doing now. Making sure that you have the best care possible."

" Is that right?"

" Yes. And in case you didn't know, Nikolas is staying with me. (Kat writes down her phone number). Here is my phone number, in case you want to get in touch with him. If you need anything, you can contact my, here in the hospital. I work here, heading the PR Department."

" Well, one can never have too many friends, can one?"

" No. And I want you to see me as one. I can't wait for us to get to know one another."

" It should be interesting."

Alexis walks into Sasha's room.

" Sasha, how are you? Katherine, do you mind? I haven't seen my cousin in quite a long time."

" Of course. Well, it was nice meeting you, Sasha."

" I'm sure it was."

Katherine leaves. Alexis comes over and gives Sasha a kiss.

" How ARE you? Really?"

" I am fine. I will lives....thanks to Bobbie Spencer."

" So, I heard. She really saved your life."

" Yes. Right out of a novel. Florence Nightingale swoops out of nowhere and heals the sick. I like her, Alexis."

" Don't tell your father, but I do to...still."

" Niko told me of a DRUG incident?"

" Long story."

" One which I will have to hear one day...soon."

" You will. I see you've met Katherine."

" Yes......THAT vapid, insipid woman is the cause for Papa's loss of focus and concentration?"

" Yes."

Sasha is as cold as ice. " Completely unacceptable. You were correct in locating me, Alexis."

" I'm glad you understand the situation."

" Yes. During our phone conversations, sometimes I heard the urgency in your voice, but thought it was your lawyer's overprotectiveness. Now I see it was justified."

" I have been working on the situation."

" Should I be worried?"

" It's a story for later."

" Well, no need for you to concern yourself about it any longer. I will take care of Katherine Bell. You have more important projects that demand your focus and concentration. And we will deal with those later, alright? I am getting quite tired."

" OK. I'll leave you then." Alexis kisses her. I'm glad that you are going to be well, Sasha. And I think you know what having you here means to both Nikolas and Stefan. Especially Stefan. And me too."

" Thank you, Lexi. I've missed everyone terribly. Goodnight cousin."

" Goodnight."

Stefan sees Bobbie filling out some charts.

" Barbara."

" Stefan."

" I am going to warn you, Barbara. Don't even think about using Katya against me. Like the way you used Nikolas."

" First of all, I never used Nikolas. Nor would I ever. I could have told him some deep truths about you, but I wouldn't EVER utter to Nikolas what I really think about you. Second of all, I got to know your daughter when I didn't know who she was. And I happen to like her. AND, if she decides that she likes me, and wants to continue with our relationship, then I will welcome it. And there' NOTHING that you can do about it."

" We'll see."

" We'll see. We'll see. Is THAT all you can say? Is that the great Stefan Cassadine's new mantra. You know, despite yourself Stefan, you raised great kids. In your case, the apple falls as far from the tree as possible."

" I am warning you, Barbara. Stay away from BOTH Nikolas and Anastasia. They are off limits to you."

" NIkolas, fine. He's a minor. Anastasia is a grown woman with her own mind. I'll listen to HER as to the state of our relationship, not you.  YOU have no say in my life anymore, remember? Ciao, Stefan."

Bobbie just leaves Stefan standing there.

After Alexis leaves, Sasha picks up the telephone.

" Hello. This is Anastasia Cassadine. I would like a connection to an overseas operator."  She get the connection. " I would like the following number in England, please."

In England, in the offices of the Pegasus Group, sits a conservatively dressed young Asian woman. She answers the phone. Since there is only one person who knows that line, she knows who the other party is immediately.

" Hello, Boss. I was anticipating your call somewhat earlier. Actually, a great deal earlier."

" I am in the hospital, which accounts for my delay."

" The Hospital? Are you alright?"

" I will live. But, I won't be flying commercial again." (both she and the assistant laugh)

" I told you all you needed was to wait but a few hours for one of the jets, but you insisted. Where are you, and what would make you call from your hospital bed?"

" Ah, the ever clairvoyant Mai. I am in Port Charles, New York."

" With your father and Nikolas?"

" Yes. And I need for you to do research on a subject. Name-Katherine Bell. She runs a cosmetics company called Deception."

" What do you want?"

" I want a complete financial breakdown of Ms. Bell. I want to know where all her assets are and her financial makeup. I also want a complete private dossier done. From the time she was born, until I met her a few minutes ago."

" Alright, done. And then?"

" And then...I'll know how to deal with her. Did the other information come?"

" About Mr.  Corinthos? Yes, the final part of it arrived today. Do you want me to messenger it to you?"

" No. I want you to make copies andpur them in the appropriate places, and then taks a Cassadine Jet to Port Charles and deliver it to me personally. I will see you here, in 48 hours."   (pause) " I saw my father."

" How was that?"

" About what you would expect of the situation. Niko and Alexis are fine, though. It was wonderful to see their faces."

" I can imagine."

" I also met my father's wife."

" AND?"

" I like her. I really like her. She's a good person. But, they are divorcing."

" I thought 'Cassadines Don't Divorce.'"

" Yes. I thought so too...I think that it will be an interesting scenario for me to explore. I met someone else."

" Who?"

" My Father's mistress."

" Uh-oh."

(laughs) " Yes. You summed up the situation quite accurately."

" So. What are you going to do?"

" What I always do. Find a way to dispose of her."

" Yes. You do have a penchant for that."

" Indeed I do. Well, are understood on your instructions?"

" Understood. Well, take care."

" I will see you soon, Mai. Goodbye."

Sasha hangs up on Mai and makes another overseas call.

" Hello. I know I was supposed to call earlier, but circumstances prevented me. How is she? Is she doing well?...I see....Well, tell her that I called and am thinking about her."

Sasha hangs up the phone, and after a few minutes, drifts off to sleep.

Stefan comes into Sasha's room. He sees her sleeping. He comes in, stands over her and takes his hand and brushes her face slightly. My daughter, he thinks. I dont' know what brought you here back to me, but I will not let you go again. I will find a way to have both you and Nikolas at home with me at Wyndemere. I will repair my relationships with both of you, he vows. He kisses her gently, and leaves.
