Mr. Immigration Man II, Chapter 28
Bobbie is in the Nursery. Standing at the incubator. Her granddaughter, 8 weeks premature, is on a resperator. She is staring at her when she sees Nikolas come in.
“ Bobbie. When I got back downstairs from giving blood, Father told me that you were up here. I don’t get it. Why are you here with Carly Roberts’ baby?”
“ Nikolas. Because this is my Granddaughter.”
“ Your what?!”
“ My Granddaughter.”
“ But then, that would mean....”
“ That Carly Roberts is my daughter. Yes. She is.”
“ WOW! But, so many things make sense now. That horrible wedding. Why no one seemed happy. Why Lucas hasn’t been to visit Dr. Jones at all. Even the marriage to Father makes sense. You knew Lucas wasn’t going to be having a family anymore. And you wanted him to have one.”
“ You’re a smart young man.”
“ But all those things that Carly did to you.”
“ Yes. All those things.”
“ No wonder you forced my mother and father to tell me the truth.”
“ Yes. My own daughter didn’t come to me when she knew the circumstances of her birth, and she wanted to punish me for it. But, in the end, she wound up punishing herself even more.”
“ You’ve FORGIVEN her?”
“ Yes.”
“ How?”
“ The most simple answer: a mother’s love.”

Stefan is waiting for Bobbie in the GH Library when...
“ Hello, Stefan.”
“ Katherine. How are you?”
“ Stefan. Why so formal? There’s no one here but us. Why don’t we..” Katherine leans in to kiss Stefan. He stops her.
“ Stefan, what are you doing?”
“ Stopping you. Katherine...”
The door opens and it is Bobbie.
“ Barbara.”
“ Don’t let me interrupt you. I have some business to attend to. Bye.”
Bobbie leaves and Katherine moves near Stefan once again.
“ Now, where were we?”
“ I don’t think that we were anywhere. I must leave Katherine.” Stefan leaves the Library and runs into Alexis.
“ Alexis. Thank goodness you have returned.”
“ I got home, Stefan. And no one was there. When I found out about the trainwreck, I came here. How are you?”
“ I am fine. My problem is Katherine.”
“ Stefan, don’t say anymore. This time tomorrow, Katherine will not be a problem.”
“ Alexis, you aren’t?”
“ No, Stefan, I’m not.”
“ Fine. Well, while I find Barbara, I will fill you in on the events since you left.”

Bobbie is standing outside the lab with Tony and AJ.
“ Well, well. The prospective Daddy’s. We’re here to determine who is the father. And NOTHING else. Understood?”
Tony and AJ, in unison. “ Yes.”
“ Good. Shall we go?”
The gentlemen take the blood test.

Bobbie is sitting by Carly’s bedside when Luke comes in.
“ Hello, Barbara Jean.”
“ Luke.”
“ Bobbie, I just wanted to say that I am sorry. More than anyone, I am responsible for this.”
“ Yes, you are. Nice to know that you can admit it when you’re wrong.”
“ I miss you, Barbara Jean.”
“ I know. “
“ I want back in your life.”
“ You know what, Luke? What does that mean? Back in my life? On YOUR terms? If I choose the life that YOU want for me?”
“ By your terms, I’m assuming you mean Count Vlad and little Nikki.”
“ Yes, I mean Stefan and his SON, Nikolas. THEY are ever bit as much my family, as you are. Even moreso now. Because, they helped me pick up the pieces of my life, when your lies shattered it.”
“ I understand.”
“ Do you, Luke? I think that you talk a good game, but, when it comes down to it, you STILL don’t understand. You still think that I’m going to come to my senses about Stefan, and come running to you and gush and tell you how right you are about him.”
“ Well, I AM right about him.”
“ Good Lord, Luke. NOT AGAIN!”
“ Barbara Jean. He’s up to his old tricks. He has another virus.”
“ WHAT?!”
“ Yes, he does. He used it to stop Flea and Bubba from finding me in Europe. I bet he’s planning something really dastardly with it...”
“ You wanna know something, Luke? I DON’T CARE! My daughter is in a coma. My grandchild might not make it. And Dr. Newman just informed me, due to the difficulty of the pregnancy and birth, it is remote that Carly will be able to conceive again. So, whether Stefan wants to take over the world again, isn’t registering on my list of priorities. Just go, Luke. Go.”
“ Fine Bobbie.”

Luke and Stefan meet each other at the Nursery.
“ You are here to see your great-niece?”
“ Yeah. So, I hear you’re little Nikki’s Pop.”
“ Yes.”
“ Interesting. I’m still gonna hate your guts, Stiff, and the thought of you and Laura turns my stomach. Stay away from my wife.”
“ I haven’t been near your wife.”
“ I know. Well, gotta go.”
“ Fine.”
“ One last thing. You mistreat my sister again, and I will kill you.”
Luke goes into the Nursery.

Bobbie, Tony and AJ are all in Dr. Burgess’ office.
“ Well, Ellen.”
“ The lab rushed these results to me as soon as possible. The father of baby Roberts is AJ Quartermaine.”

Bobbie walks back into Carly’s room. She sees Jason and Virginia Bensen sitting there. Virginia’s eyes are teary when they see Bobbie.
“ Hello, Bobbie.”
“ Virginia. Well, I see that you’ve found Caroline.”
“ Yes, I did. And this nice young man.”
“ Well, this is Jason Morgan.”
“ We’ve made introductions. Well, I’ll leave you two ladies. But, I’ll be back later, if that’s OK, Bobbie.”
“ That would be great. Bye Jason.”
Jason leaves and the two ladies face one another.
“ Oh, Bobbie. I was worried that Caroline would get into trouble like this.”
“ I thought that she had gotten into enough trouble, already. “
“ You’ve......forgiven her, haven’t you?”
“ Yes.”
“ I’m so glad.”
(laughs) “ So, you don’t think I’m crazy?”
“ Crazy? No. You’re just a good mother. That’s all. Do you think Caroline is going to be OK?”
“ I don’t know that, Virginia. But, with both her mother’s love, I think that she has a better chance than most. (Bobbie takes Virginia’s hand) So, have you seen our Granddaughter?”
“ No.”
“ Well, respirator and all, she’s the most beautiful child in the Nursery. Do you want to go see her?”
“ Can we?”
“ Sure. Let’s go. The nurse is right outside. We’ll tell her where we’re going, and if anything changes, she’ll make sure that we’re notified.”
Bobbie and Virginia leave Carly to go to the Nursery.

AJ is outside of the Nursery when Keesha comes.
“ Hey, you.”
“ KEESHA! What are you doing here?”
“ I came to see you. And your daughter.”
“ So, you know.”
“ Yes. Justus told me. So, how is she?”
“ She’s premature. Underweight. Her lungs aren’t fully developed and she’s on a respirator. They don’t know if she’s going to make it.”
“ And Carly?”
“ She’s iffy too.”
“ Oh, AJ. I am sorry.”
“ You’re sorry? What for. Once again, I have messed things up. Keesha...I wanted to tell you..”
“ But, you couldn’t. “
“ No.”
“ I understand now. Because of the baby.”
“ Yep.”
“ Keesha, I know that this is all wrong, but, I have to know....”
“ Whether the baby means that things are over between us? I’ve been giving it a lot of thought, AJ. And I still love you. And there’s no way that I could ever think about coming between you and your little girl. I’m willing to stand by you, and work things out.”
“ Keesha.....I don’t know what to say.”
“ How about you buy me a cup of coffee in the Cafeteria and you try there.”
“ Sounds great.”

Virginia and Bobbie are in the Nursery.
“ Oh, Bobbie, she’s so tiny.”
“ Yes. But, she’s responding to feedings. The doctors say that it’s very important for her to have lots of human contact. So I spend as much time with her as I can.”
“ I’m glad that you were here for her. Her. Don’t you think that it’s about time that she got a name?”
“ I’ve been thinking that myself. Although, I think that it is a mother’s prerogative.”
“ I know. But, this little girl needs a name. And Caroline could always change it if she wants to when she gets better.”
“ True. Any suggestions?”
“ Well, the only song that used to lull Caroline to sleep when she was a baby was ‘Amazing Grace’.”
“ Grace. Sweet, yet with strength. I like it. OK, how about Grace Spencer Bensen Quartermaine.”
“ I think that Caroline would be pleased.”
“ Of course, Carly can wake up and decide that she likes the name Spice. But, for now, it’s Grace. Welcome to our family, Grace.”

Katherine comes into her apartment. She tries the light switch. But, it won’t work. As she goes to the phone, someone comes up behind her and chlorophorms her. The two gentlemen, then load her into a laundry basket and take her to an awaiting van in the garage. She is then loaded onto a private plane at the Port Charles Airport.
Alexis and Leo watch the plane take off.
“You’ve taken care of everything on the other end, Leo?”
“ Yes. Her host is awaiting her company.”
“ Terrific. Good job. Well done. “
Alexis gives Leo a glass.
“ A toast. To Katherine Bell. May she know and live a long life, in the hell that she is about to enter.”
They clink champagne glasses.
