The Imposter II (an alternate version), Chapter 1 (Evian)
by ejcrane
“Another business trip again, Julien?” Eve whined as she spoke into the
receiver.
“Yes, my pet…it’s very important, but don’t worry, love, I’ll be back by
the end of the week,” he grinned as he ran his hand through Trisha’s hair,
who was on her knees in front of him…
“Okay, honey…I’ll tell the kids that you’ll be leaving again…”
“Yes, ooh, uh, you do that, Eve,” he groaned.
“I love you, Ju…”
“Loveyoutoo, bye…” and Julien hung up, cutting Eve off, “Okay, Trisha honey,
that’s enough…” he pulled her face out of his lap, “I can see how much you
want that raise…” he grinned, “Why don’t you give me a few minutes?” he
stood and directed her to the door.
After he practically threw her out, Julien made his way back to his desk
and picked up the phone.
“Now, all I need is to call my brother,” he dialed the number, “Ah, hello,
Julian ol’ pal!”
Julian L. Crane, president of Crane Industries in Paris, France, also the
twin brother of Julien Crane, president of Crane Industries in Harmony,
Massachusetts, rolled his eyes and sighed.
“Hello, Julien, how can I help you, brother?”
“Well, you remember that one favor you owe me…well, I just found a way
you can pay me back…” he paused and waited for his brother’s response.
Julian was chewing gum on the other end, blowing bubbles.
“Well, are you going to tell me, or do you want me to read your mind? You
know us twins have that ‘ESP’ sort of thing…” he said as a bubbled popped.
“Don’t get SMART, brother,” he said through gritted teeth, “Now, how would
you like it to run CI from Harmony?”
Crane Industries in Harmony was the main headquarters, and Julian always
wanted to run it, but their father, Alistair Crane, left it to his oldest
boy, Julien.
“Of course I would!” he screamed into the phone, “…wait…what’s the catch?”
he glared when he heard his brother’s proposal, “NO WAY! NO WAY AM I TAKING
OVER YOUR LIFE WITH YOUR KIDS AND WIFE! I’ve never even met them, Julien,
you know that!”
“Well, there’s always a first time for everything,” he shrugged, “Hey,
do whatever you’d like to Eve…just keep her happy and thinking that you’re
me, OKAY?!”
“I don’t know about this…” he hesitated.
“Remember? YOU OWE ME BIG!”
“Yes, I remember,” he sighed, “Okay…how long?”
“Don’t you worry about that; I’ll let you know when the time is right,
little brother,” he smiled mischievously into the phone, “Anyway, I’ll need
you here in Harmony in exactly one week, got that?”
“Yeah, alright!”
“Okay, thank you, Julian…ohh, wait, I mean, Juli-en,” Julien chuckled,
“It shouldn’t be hard, our names sound too much alike…I’ll see you later,
brot…” but before Julien could finish his sentence, Julian hung up on him.
“BASTARD!” Julian fumed as he threw a dart at his twin’s portrait hanging
on the wall, “BULL’S-EYE!” he laughed as the dart pierced Julien’s crotch.
---
“Well, I made it,” Julian sucked in the air and blew it out as he dropped
his suitcases to the floor in the foyer, “Damn, it’s been too long since
I’ve been in this place,” he shook his head and looked around, remembering
his younger years growing up here in the mansion.
Walking past the portrait of his father which hung on the wall in the hallway
to the right of the foyer, Julian stopped just in front of it and stared.
“Hello, Father,” he saluted the man in the picture with his middle finger.
Rounding the corner, Julian saw a woman walking towards him. Hmm, she looked
mighty happy, but who the hell was she, he thought. He looked her up and
down. Eh, she wasn’t bad looking…
“Oh, uh, dear, I left my bags in the foyer. Be a doll and take them up
to my room,” he patted her shoulder and walked into the library where he
fixed himself a drink.
Eve’s smile soon faded as a look of puzzlement took over her face. She
decided to follow him into the library and see just what he meant by what
he had said. He must have been joking…yeah, Julien always liked to joke,
she smiled to herself. With his back to her, Eve took the opportunity to
close the door behind her and lock it. After doing so, she then shed her
clothing and sneaked up on Julian.
Julian never heard the door lock behind him, but he did feel someone right
on his a**. What the hell?! He turned and found the maid standing in front
of him…NAKED!
“Oh, my…” his eyes looked over her body, but seemed to linger on her breasts.
Eve giggled and shoved him back onto the couch. Julian’s mouth dropped
open when Eve then hopped into his lap, straddling him. She then rubbed
up against his member…feeling it become hard and lively.
“Ooh, you like that, huh?” she said seductively and shifted her hips forward
again.
“Ohh,” he let out as he swallowed.
“Touch me, Julien…touch me!” she moaned and reached out in front of her
and grabbed his hands and placed them over her breasts, “Yes…oh, yes,” she
sighed and threw her head back, “You’re so hard…” she moaned out and then
leaned forward and licked his lips.
Not knowing what was happening; Julian attempted to remove his hands from
her chest, and while doing so, his thumbs happened to move across her erect
nipples…
Feeling this happen, Julian couldn’t help but keep his thumbs where they
were. Shaking himself out of this wrong situation, Julian removed his hands
from her body, thought of his fiancée, and then spoke…
“Look, dear, I don’t know what you have going on with my br…I don’t know
what we have going on, but it needs to stop,” he stood up slowly, helping
Eve off his lap, “I don’t want Mrs. Crane finding us like this…and I wouldn’t
want you to lose your job over something like this, okay?” he smiled, “Please
put your clothes on and go inform Mrs. Crane that I’m home…” he walked around
her towards the desk.
Eve did as she was told and dressed…dressed and at the same time, wondered
what the hell Julien was talking about. Ohh, how he loved to play around,
she sighed.
Julian heard her dressing behind him and then lifted a picture up from
his brother’s desk. Just as his eyes were fixing to do a “roll”, he blinked
his eyes! He had just picked up the wedding picture of his brother’s! And
his brother was married to an African-American woman! The same woman that
was in the room with him at this very moment!
Julian turned around slowly and met his wife’s eyes. He grinned sheepishly
and laughed…
“Heh-heh…tricked you, didn’t I?” his face turned a shade of red.
“I knew you were playing!” she scolded him playfully and then walked up
to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, “Now, how about a kiss for my
husband…” she smiled and met his lips with hers.
But as Eve tried to deepen the kiss, she noticed how Julian didn’t respond.
“Is something the matter, honey?” she pulled away.
“Uh, no…I just…”
“Is it my breath?” Eve asked and put a hand over her mouth and breathed
into it, “I just ate garlic bread…” she sniffed, but all she could smell was
the mint scent from the stick of ‘Wrigley’s DoubleMint’ gum she just chewed.
“No, no, darling, it’s just I have a lot of things on my mind,” he kissed
her forehead, “I’m going to go up and take a nap…”
Julian smiled a last smile and left the library where he ran into Pilar…their
old maid! He hadn’t seen her since he was a teenager; since after he left
Harmony! And boy, did he miss her; she was like a second mother to him after
his mother, Katherine Crane, died.
“PILAR!” Julian screamed and ran to her throwing his arms around her and
picking her up.
Pilar, thinking this was Julien, was in shock. Julien was always so reserved.
“I haven’t seen you in so lon-…” Julian stopped speaking when he caught
himself.
It had only been a week since “Julien” was on his “business” trip, so it
really wasn’t long since “he” had seen her.
“Is there anything you need, Mr. Crane?” she said, never making eye contact
with him.
Julian noticed this and wondered why Pilar seemed…different now.
“No, no I’m quite fine,” he replied sadly and watched Pilar excuse herself
and walk away.
