Rebecca chased after T.C. She had gotten in her car
and rushed to the Harmony youth center, certain that
T.C. had gone there.
"T.C., please let me explain," Rebecca said. She got out of her car
and went into the youth center looking for T.C. She had expected to hear
the pounding of T.C. taking out his frustrations on his punching bag, but
the gym was empty. Rebecca's face fell, and she
kept looking. Once outside, she sat down on the bench and buried her
face in her hands.
"How could this have happened?" Rebecca asked. "Things were going so
perfect." Rebecca wondered who had gotten a tape of her sending the letter
to the tabloids- intended for T.C. to see. All
she could think about was T.C.'s reaction and how
disappointed he had been before he stormed out.
Rebecca didn't know what to do- if someone was
determined enough to break them up to send T.C. a
tape from the Crane security, did they have worse things she had done
caught on tape, just waiting to be sent to T.C.? She never would have thought
that
those things could cause so much trouble later on.
Julian had shown up, also expecting T.C. to have gone to the youth center,
the tape in his hand. As he drove into the parking lot, he saw Rebecca
sitting on
a bench trying to figure out where T.C. had gone.
"Rebecca!" Julian called. Rebecca panicked when she realized that the
tape was in Julian's hand. Had he
seen it too?
"Oh Julian- you saw the tape of-" Rebecca said.
"Rebecca, I know what's going on here, we have to explain everything to T.C. right away." Julian said.
"He was so angry-" Rebecca said. Julian tried to calm her down.
"I know who sent this," Julian said. "Father." Julian said. "He was
so dead set against my proposing to
Eve that he disinherited me without a cent- I wouldn't put it past
him to pull something like this." Julian said.
"Why would Alastair go to all of this trouble to-" Rebecca said, not wanting to finish the sentence. "I mean, he did already disinherit you."
"I don't know, but something tells me that father has something else
up his sleeve. We'd better go find him before something else happens."
Julian said. He had always known that Alastair was out to cause trouble,
but he was wondering why Alastair would bother with this after he had
already disinherited Julian. He knew that he loved Eve, and that Rebecca
loved T.C., so why was he trying to ruin it?
T.C. had came back home after going on a drive to
think. He wasn't sure what to think about the tape-
or Rebecca's scheme to break up Ivy, Julian, and reveal that Ethan
was Sam and Ivy's son, then keep Ethan from marrying Theresa, and try to
convince Julian to adopt Ethan so that Gwen and Rebecca could both be Mrs.
Crane.
"T.C., what's wrong?" Eve asked.
"Someone sent me a tape-" T.C. said.
"A tape?" Eve asked in confusion.
"Yeah, a tape of Rebecca- laughing and bragging as
she sent Ivy's love letters revealing that Ethan was Sam Bennetts son
to the tabloids!" T.C. said.
"What?" Eve asked.
"Yeah, then she was saying that Julian would divorce Ivy, then when she married Julian, she could convince him to adopt Ethan so that Rebecca and Gwen could both be Cranes." T.C. said.
Eve was shocked. "T.C. I'm sure there's a good explanation-" Eve said. "Someone wouldn't have sent a tape unless there had been a reason-" Eve said. T.C. sighed guiltily.
"I didn't even hear her out," T.C. said. "I watched the tape, rewound it for her to watch, then just stormed out of here. Now, she's not even here- I don't know where she is." T.C. said. Maybe Eve was right. He didn't like what he had seen on the tape, but he just didn't think.
"I've really messed things up," T.C. said. Why couldn't he just learn
to keep his temper under
control? T.C. grabbed his keys from the coffee table.
"Where are you going?" Eve asked.
"I have a lot of thinking to do," T.C. said.
