Simone's New Start ~Chapter 9 ~Brewing Thoughts~
by Mademoiselle Butterfly

Chapter Nine

The setting is evening, as the dusk on the sun begins to set surrounding Harmony’s little town. The day is Thursday, as we find families settling in from work and school getting ready for another day of the same routine till the weekend. We soon appear at the Harmony University’s dorms. There we see college kids focused on their studies or busy bothering their roommates about who ate the last slice of leftover pizza or Chinese food. Because of course, they were saving that last bit of food for later when they allowed themselves a thirty-minute study break. Now where is it they continue to question and pester one another over and over again?

Well, where do we find our steadfast Simone Russell this evening you asked? Well in her dorm room located in Keri Hall, room number 7K. She sat at the top of her bed, scribbling notes to remember in her personal day planner. While stopping every couple of minutes to take breaks to multi highlight the new chapters in her American History and English textbooks. She was totally multitasking, stopping to jump up for a soda; her mind was racing with everything that she needed to do. Just then Kay walked in, “Gee, Simone take a breather!” she announces seeing how her friend was in such deep concentration.

“Kay, you should actually be joining me in the quest for higher learning.” “You know, mid-terms are coming up soon.” Simone replied flipping through pages.
Kay soon flops down on Simone’s bed, shaking her books all around.
“Please, I have other things to be concerned about!” Kay remarks chomping on some gum.
“So, what are you up to tonight?” she asks.
“Well, besides turning into a bookworm.” “Or Reese.” She mumbles.
Simone looks up, “Nothing much.” “Tonight, I’ve got to go meet Gabe at the library.” “We’re going to go over today’s lecture notes and stuff.” “That’s about it, really.”
“Oh, the hottie from history, huh!” “Hey, that reminds me.” Kay said suddenly. “I need to call Miguel and maybe to two of us can have a private study session of our own.” she said with a seductively smile.

“Man, Kay I swear you’ve got Miguel on the brain.” Simone says rolling her eyes.
“Well, I love him so. .” Kay states.
“Please, I don’t think love is the word in which you have for Miguel.” “I think its more that you lust after him that’s all.” Simone replies.
“Whatever.” “Now what kind of excuse can I use to get him here?” Kay asks herself out loud.
“Well, whatever you do.” “I’m just glad that I’m not going to be here to see it blow up in your face.” Simone said getting up.
“Gee, thanks for the support Simone!” Kay yells throwing a pillow at her.
“You’re welcome,” Simone remarks ducking out of the way. . .

Now we focus on Gabe Carrington and John Hastings staying in dorm room 5E. We find John entering the room with homemade sandwiches and sodas in his hands. He had just came back from seeing Grace, and his Dad they told him how proud they were of him, and gave him plenty of food and drinks for those late night cramming sessions. Coming in the door, John turned to see Gabe preoccupied talking on the phone at the moment. “Yeah,” he replied nodding his head. “What about the house?”
“Its done, completely finished.” Blair replied on the other end of the receiver.
“Really,” Gabe said surprised.
“Uh, huh.” “You really should come by and see the finished product, Mom did a great job.” she responds.
“Well, what about your pool house then.” “How’s it coming along?” Gabe
asked.

“Pretty good, but me and Mom still can’t seem to agree on a color scheme.” “I wanted a deep baby blue and she wants it in sage.” “I’m telling you Gabe two women trying to decorate is like a war zone!” “But it’s going to be my place, so I want it just so.” She says.
Gabe laughed. “Well, anyway thanks again for those great gifts.” “I really love them.”
“Well, I know how much you love your baseball.” “So, I thought that a membership to the Harmony batting cages was a perfect gift.” Blair explained.

“I know, it will definitely be the ultimate stress reliever during finals.” Gabe told her.
“Good,” Blair replied. “Well, I gotta run, I’m going to take a walk with Mom around the neighborhood.” “You know do some mother, daughter bonding.” “I’ll call you later little bear.”
“Okay, talk to you later.” “Tell Mom and Dad I’ll come by soon.”
“Alright.”

Click!

“Talking to your sister?” John asks.
“Yeah, I couldn’t thank her enough for those gifts she gave me.”
“Yeah, they were thoughtful.” John remarks thinking about the meeting with Gabe’s sister and how she surprised him with presents.
“Oh, my Mom sent us some food from the B&B.”
“That was cool of her, tell her I said thanks okay.” Gabe says with a smile.
“Hey, what time is it?” he asks.
“Almost six.” “Why?” John responds.
“I think I’m suppose to meet up with Simone tonight, you know for that History class.” Gabe said packing up his books.
***************************

We now turn the Harmony Hospital, where we see Eve Russell entering her office after another hard shift with patients. Eve appeared in her lovely white doctor’s coat putting down the paperwork she just received. She breathed deeply wishing all of the paperwork in front of her would disappear and that she could now, be at home with her family, maybe even watching an old black and white movie with TC. Her thoughts then went to Liz Sandboure and her previous threats against her the other day. She wondered if her threats to destroy her family and steal her husband had any merit. Glancing at a picture of her family Eve thought that things were already bad enough without Liz trying to force her way into the picture.

After Chad Harris left for LA, things in the Russell Household still were the same. Simone’s moving out, showed just how much things had changed, somehow Eve had blamed herself for her daughters broken relationship. Both her girls in pain because of the same man, Simone blaming her sister for destroying her life and in turn running away from her home and family. Eve wanted to think that maybe Simone’s leaving was for the best, that she just needed time away, time to think and get her head on straight. But something inside her made her think otherwise, she thought that at home Simone was safe, out of harm’s way. Away from the intrigues of drinking, drugs and causal sex!

She knew that Simone was headstrong, and just prayed that she had taught her baby girl right from wrong. Eve would give anything to save her daughters’ from her shameful mistakes in youth. A past that she vowed to keep hidden from her loved ones, even if that meant lying for Ivy Crane or keeping Liz at bay. She was determined to make things better for her girls. Both were so precious to her, Whitney her little angel. Always seeming so sweet and understanding to everyone. And Simone, her little girl she was always so truthful, honest and loyal. She has a heart of gold; Eve thought she always wanted her daughter to truly believe that she was genuine and special. Eve’s eyes began to water thinking about her daughters somehow, she had to bring them back together again and make her family whole. That way, Liz nor anyone else could try and destroy their close knit again. No outsiders, were going to break them apart any longer, Eve vowed. . .

“So, what did you get for number eight, of the take home quiz?”
“Um, the 1918.” Gabe responds looking at his paper.
“Huh, I got 1920.” Simone replies glances at him, seeing him begin to frown. “What’s wrong?” she asks.
“Nothing,” Gabe said quietly.
“Really, because you just seem a little distracted.”
“I don’t know Simone.” “I’m just not into history, it’s more of my Dad’s type of thing.” Gabe explains.
“Oh, well I understand.” “It’s not one of my favorite subject’s either.” Simone said with a smile.

“I don’t know, it’s like I can’t visualize this stuff.” “I can’t see it through my world today, you know.” Gabe said softly.
“I agree, with that it is kind of hard to see ourselves riding horses all the time or working on something as big as the constitution.” Simone replied.
“Well, what about your Dad, you said that he would understand.” “How’s that?” she asked out of curiosity.
“He’s an art dealer.” “He gets paid to know all these history facts and stuff.” Gabe told her.

The two sitted in a corner of the library soon became very quiet.
After a while, Gabe suggested that they take a coffee break and get away from the books for a bit. Simone took the bait and they went out for some lattes at the campus-dining hall. Soon, their conversation sparked up again. Gabe told her about his life in New York and his upbringing and how different it was from life in Harmony. While, Simone raved about how great it was to live in a small town and all the things she would do as a kid. The two teenagers, found some common ground talking about their personal history it was much more exciting than that of the history books for the American Revolution.

Simone, told Gabe of an inquiry to know why his family would move to Harmony in the first place. She figured that New York was so lively, and beautiful why would they want to leave. Gabe laughed, as her eyes lit up talking about the famous sights of New York like the Tavern on the Green and such. “You’re right, Simone.” “It is a wonderful city but things change you know.”
“It’s funny really,” he starts. “Everyone in my family came to Harmony for different reasons.” “My Mom, to start her own law firm, my Dad to expand his galleries, me to go to Harmony Univ. and my sister to do her own thing.” “She’s going into the medical profession.”
“Hmm.” “So why, go the Harmony University?” Simone asked. “When you could go anywhere?”

“It’s a family thing, my grandfather went there, and so did his father and so on.” “It’s like a tradition, I guess.” “In my family traditions’ are big.” Gabe explains.
“Yeah, mine too.” Simone said. “My Mom’s always saying family is everything!”
“Well, I guess that’s one thing we have in common.”
“And what’s that?” Simone asks.
“Strong family values.” Gabe said with a smile.
“Yeah, we do.” Simone answered sipping her latte.
“So, how do you think Monday’s test will go?” Gabe asked.
“Um, I really don’t want to even think about it.” “Lately, there’s so much going on through my head.” “I barely feel like my brain can catch up to everything’s that’s been going on.” Simone replied with a laugh as he walked her back to her dorm. . .

Sunday evening, we return back to the old Carrington estate. Tonight, the whole Carrington family gathered together once again, to share witty conversations, talk about their love of politics and try their best to get along. At the moment, as we spy on them just in time for dessert a rich and luscious chocolate mousse. Edward, the head of the family had just excused himself from the table to retire in his office for an overseas phone conference. So, everyone sits and waits for his return. Becoming restless they soon dig into the elaborate dessert as Blair comments on the high fat calorie content of the dish.

Lane wonders to himself why his father is taking so long. He soon slips away to find out, covering the grounds of the huge household he feels a sense of déjà vu staring at all the lavish art work and sculptures the house was decked out in. He soon arrives at his Father’s private study and lightly knocks on the door to enter. “Come in.” Edward responds.
Lane enters seeing Edward just starting to end his conversation.
“Yes, yes I understand.” He said. “Well, have that altogether by tomorrow in my chambers.” “Nine o’clock sharp.” “Bye, Harold.” He proceeded.

Once he hung up, he looks up to see Lane over by the large volume of literature on the other side of the room. “I thought, I’d find you in here.” Lane said admiring a collection of Shakespeare’s work.
“I just had some loose ends to tie up.” Edward replied smoking his nightly cigar.
“Yes, you and your famous loose ends father.” Lane says with a laugh.
“I tell you, I must have spent a lifetime hearing about all your loose ends as a kid.”
Edward smirks, “It comes with the responsibilities of being a Judge.”
“I know.” “And that’s never stopped you from having your conference calls during dinner.”
“Yes, well your mother hated business during dinner.” Edward admits.
“Or Dessert.” Lane told him.
“Yes or dessert.” Edward said quietly.
“I haven’t been in here in ages.” Lane remarks glancing around.

Edward was silent; he stood pouring himself a glass of brandy.
He passed a glass over towards Lane, “Thank you.”
“So, father how are Leigh and Logan?” he asks suddenly, overlooking a picture of his two siblings.
“Fine.”
“Well, how are they?” “What have they been up to?” Lane asked staring at the bottom of his drink.
“Well.” “Logan’s residing in Europe these days and Leigh lives in Connecticut with her family.” “Nothing much to tell.” Edward replied puffing on his lit Cuban.
“Oh, that’s good that they’re doing well.” “So, what’s Logan doing in Europe?” Lane asks.
“Handling some business ventures for me.”
“Oh, alright.” “So, um father.” “Do they ever ask about me?” Lane shyly asked.
“Honestly, Lane.” Edward said sternly. “No, they don’t.” “They now have their own lives to worry about.”
It was now Lane’s turn to grow silent, “Hmm.” “You’re right they do, I should have known that.” He responds looking away.
“Well, Father I’m going to take a walk around the house you know, get a feel for being home.”
“Be my guest.” Edward replied leaving the room to join the others back in the dining room.

While Lane appears, making his way up the stairs in search of his old bedroom. The moment he opens the door he’s hit with nostalgic memories, he then begins to glance around seeing that nothing’s changed since he left. Not one thing, same rug and curtains, bedspread and old photos on the walls of what use to be. After a while, Lane’s joined by his wife’s company as she explains how she wondered where he went off. She soon ran into Edward and he told her of Lane’s exploring.
“So, this is your old bedroom huh!” Julia said looking around.
“This is it.” Lane says.
“Interesting, it doesn’t feel or seem like you.” “It’s like its lacking you’re personality.” “Where were you in this room, honey?” she asks picking up a catcher’s mitt.
“Jules, that’s just it.” “I wasn’t, well at least not who I am now.” Lane explained.
“In here, in this room, this house, I grew up a completely different person than I am now.” “Here, I was to be the next Judge Edward Carrington in line following my Father’s lead.” “That was my destiny as he’d call it.”
“Well, I like who you’ve become anyhow.” Julia said kissing him on the cheek.
“Thanks.” Lane replied wondering to himself.

The next day, it’s a Monday as Simone enters her history class. She takes a sit next to Kay and waves over to Gabe seeing him in his little corner spot. Soon, her professor enters the room and before she and her other classmates are able to start their first test of the semester. He instructs everyone that there’s going to be a huge assignment that was not originally added into his or her semester’s syallbus. The project was worth half his or her semester’s grade and it was to create your own personal family tree.

The project entailed that each student get some personal information through talking to his or her family members. About a series of things they have gone through, their lives growing up and what that person really hoped to achieve in their youth. The assignment was meant for the students to get a real perspective of true life, and their personal history. Her professor soon gave out a list of questions to ask, the questions were unusual but he stressed their importance. Also, just to make sure that the class was really connecting and studying with their study partners. They it were going to have to join in on the assignment. Then the test began. . .

After her classes, Simone went to her very first dance class, for the college’s dance company. Dressed in her dance apparel she entered the huge dance room it was a wide, open space with plenty of room to move in and had mirrors that reached all across the walls. There she stood, with her towels and bottle of water in hand. Soon, appeared the dance instructor her name was Sherry. Simone thought that she was nice, but found her a little extreme at times yelling at her like she was some mega diva, she seemed more like a cheap cop out of Fame’s Debbie Allen.

Yet, they started out slow going over the basics of what Simone had studied during the summer sessions a little ballet, jazz, salsa etc. Simone found that she really enjoyed the class, she even met a prospective male dance partner the very hot Mark Andrews. He had a tall-muscular build, flattering huge grin and piercing gray eyes. Every girl in the class was infatuated with him, watching him move to the soft music. They sighed heavenly to themselves engrossed in every movement he made, as he danced his whole body seemed to projec sensuality. It was all so exciting, different and fresh much like Simone’s attitude this semester.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At this very moment, we encounter the handsome and accomplished Lane Carrington out for a stroll around the town, visiting his old hunting grounds. He soon appears on the local town wharf, smelling the fresh salty sea air overlooking the sights as boaters sway in the waves sailing by his view. The feeling he experienced at this moment was so very surreal for him. He was now back home, in Harmony standing on a wharf where he had so many memories before. Like having his first kiss with beautiful socialite Debbie Heyworth on the same night his father caught him sneaking three bottles of champagne from an after hours party at the local Harmony Country club. There were too many memories to relive, but he had to admit he had missed Harmony and it’s quirky charm.
Yet, in all those years away from home he felt that he had only one regret in his leaving. For the path he had chosen so many years ago that led him to New York, to his wife and future children, made him in turn turn away from his roots. His mind wondered there standing on the wharf, “It was time.” He thought to himself, finally time for him to face the truth about his past actions and the people he had affected. Those who were faithful to him despite his actions, those who were and will always be a major part of him. In life they were his heart, Lane quietly left the wharf and found his way towards his next destination.
Approaching it he stopped and stood overlooking a piece of his heart, his beloved mother Meredith Carrington’s grave sight. He stared at her plot for the longest time, just feeling a mixture of emotions. As he quietly prayed for forgiveness, “I’m sorry, Mother.” He said silence. He reached out his hands and let his palms cascade down her elaborate headstone it read,
“Here lays the body of a remarkable woman.
Meredith Lillian Grayson-Carrington,
Loving wife to Edward and mother to daughter
Leigh and son Logan.”
Soon, a weak Lane dropped down to his knees and let somber tears fall down his cheeks. “Mother, you’re the only thing that I regret leaving.”
“The only thing.” “God, I miss you.” “I needed you then and now.” “I love you, so much.” He whispered. He engulfed his arms around the headstone, weeping.
He sat for a very long time just letting out all of his repressed emotions. He talked to her telling her about his life, his travels, his success and family. “You would be proud Mom, I followed my heart.” He told her. After consoling himself, he looked up to the sky and let out a deep sigh. He then turns back to the headstone finally noticing something that he hadn’t noticed before. Soon, he felt a rush of fury awaken within him, it made him shake with rage. Lane went into a deep trace unable to believe his eyes. “Damn, him.” “He won’t even let you rest in peace without causing trouble.” “Damn him, Mother he did it again.” “Whenever I let my guard down, he shows his true self.” Lane said standing up as he began to walk away . . .
**********************
Friday evening, we enter Eugene Hall as we see Gabe and John studying in their room. Both sitting in their individual corners of the small room, with their noses in the books. Soon a very tired and bored, Gabe turns around in his chair. Rubbing his fingers through his curly mane, he glances in John’s direction. “What day is it?” he asks quietly.
“Friday.” John replies.
“Thanks,” Gabe responds returning his attention to his work once more.
Soon he stares off into space, twirling his pen in his hand.
“So, John um, it’s a Friday night, the weekend?” Gabe hints.
“Yeah and. .” John asks.
“And, so what do you do for fun around here?” he asks.
“Um, nothing much hang out here and there.” John responds.
“Are there any clubs or anything around here?” Gabe asks.
“Clubs?” John says bewildered.
“Yeah, music, shadowy lighting, people.” “That kind of thing.” Gabe replies.
“Well, not really.” “Well not that I know of.” John admitted.
“What?” “Really, so you’ve never explored around here.” “In all the time you’ve been in Harmony?”
“Not really,” John said.
“Alright,” Gabe said nodding his head. “Well, then get ready.” he states getting up from his seat.
“What?” “But I’m studying.” John said.
“Well, you can finish studying tomorrow.” “Tonight, were going exploring!” Gabe replied excitedly.
“What?” “Where?” “I mean, really I shouldn’t.” John stutters.
“Anywhere, were going to find a pool hall, club, party, something.” Gabe explained pushing John out of his seat.
“Wait, but where are you taking me?” John questioned.
“To your closet.” Gabe responds.
“Were going to raid it for something cool tonight, you’ve got to look the part!”
“Man, has anyone ever said that you were a little demanding.” John told him.
“On one occasion or two.” “It’s a gene passed down in my family, if you don’t get the demanding gene they throw you out of the family tree.” Gabe replied with a smile.
Dragging John to his closet, “Now, come on.”
“Man, do you have anything in here that’s not plaid!” Gabe responds going through John’s closet . . .
After, finding the ‘right’ clothes John and Gabe appear ready for a night on the town. Exploring around they soon appeared around the campus at the local college parties hosted every Friday. Getting bored with the kiddy crowds the two soon appeared in a smoky, seedy pool hall. John expressed to Gabe that the place and the people surrounding them weren’t what he called fun and exciting. Especially seeing that they were denied any “refreshments”. So, checking his watch Gabe noticed that it was around eleven at night, he then turned to John and said, “Okay I know the perfect spot where we can chill!” After driving around in Grace’s car that John had borrowed for the night. The guys found themselves in one of Harmony’s posh neighborhoods. John quietly wondering to himself where was Gabe dragging him to this time.
Soon, they stopped at this one house it was a glorious sight all brick with a three-car garage. “Hey, John this is my parents’ house by the way.” Gabe informed him.
“Oh,” John responds walking up to the front door.
Getting his key out, Gabe opened the door. Revealing the beautiful household, and its elegant furnishings. His mother had done a brilliant job decorating her new household, as she patiently planned out everything. Decorating each room in the latest elegant color schemes from the warm touches of taupe, to soothing hues of sage each room had its own character and depth from the living room to the elaborate kitchen.
“Come on this way.” Gabe instructed.
The guys then appeared in a huge study of some sort, there laid out were a large pool table, beautiful rich chocolate colored leather club chairs and a bar stocked with many refreshments. On the walls of the supposed game room, was a vast collection of artworks remarkable portraits of legendary musicians from the classic blues artists to the great masters of jazz. There many portraits out for display for all to partake of the talent for years to come past, present or future. “This is one of my favorite rooms of the whole house.” Gabe admitted.
“Man, I can’t believe this is where you live!” John states looking around.
“Yeah,” Gabe said with a shrug. “I’ll break first okay.” he states getting
out a pool stick.
The guys played pool into late in the night, drinking cold coke cola and eating leftover food from the kitchen while playing some of Gabe’s father’s treasured blues records. “Man, I love B.B. King and Muddy Waters!” Gabe said as John took his shot.
“Who’s down here?” someone yelled coming down the stairs.
“It’s just me.” Gabe replied.
Soon, we see Lane enter the room in his robe.
“Oh, son.” “What are you going here?” he asked.
“Just, hanging out.” “I hope it’s not a problem.”
“No, of course not.” Lane says looking in John’s direction.
“Oh, Dad.” “This is my roommate from school John.” Gabe said.
“Hi, nice to meet you.” Lane said shaking John hand. “So, what are you boys up to tonight?”
“Nothing much, we went to a couple parties around campus and exploring.” “Then we just ended up here.” Gabe explained.
“Oh, alright.” Lane said softly as his mind began to wonder.
“Dad, are you alright you look stressed?” Gabe asked worried.
“No, I’m fine son.” “It’s just been a very long day.” Lane replied thinking about how enraged he was previously during the day.
“You sure.” Gabe said. “What, you finally saw Blair’s credit card bill or something?” he asked with a smirky smile.
“No, I’m okay.” “Look, you guys are pretty loud down here.” Lane starts. “Were you drinking?” he asks.
“No, sir we weren’t.” John responds quickly.
“So, what are you drinking?” Lane questioned getting into Dad mode.
“Coke,” Gabe said plainly.
“Well, don’t tell your mother, I said this okay but if you want you can take a little rum, with that coke of yours.” Lane replied with a wink.
“Oh, and maybe you guys should stay here tonight.” “I don’t want you out driving this late and I think your mother would be happy to see you tomorrow morning.” “John, we have an guest room available for you if you would like to stay.”
“Thanks, Mr. Carrington.” John replies.
“Yeah, thanks Dad.” Gabe said.
“No problem, night boys.” Lane said leaving the room to get a heavy scotch nightcap.
“See, I told you my parents were cool.” Gabe replied with a sly smile.
After pouring himself a large glass of scotch, Lane made his way to his favorite stress reliever his treasured baby grand piano. Julia had given it to him has an anniversary present. He sat down and eloquently began to play a soft jazz tune. After a bit of time, he was heavy engrossed in the tune that he didn’t even hear his wife Julia enter the room.
“Hey.” She said touching his shoulder.
She startled him, “Oh, sorry hon.” “I was just wondering where you were, so I see you’re still upset.” She said sitting beside him.
“Yes.” Lane quietly replied still playing his tune. “But I’m going to do something about it, though.”
“What’s that?” Julia asked re-tieing her robe.
“A little research of my own, and then when’s the time’s right.” Lane replied.
“I’m going to strike and strike hard.” “It’s time Julia, for a lot of changes to finally break way.” “And for him to finally realize that I’m not going to runaway anymore.” “I’m done with leaving home and my responsibilities.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Later on that night, we see a light on in the Russell Household. The bright light came from Eve and TC ’s bedroom. The two had just finished a late night talk about their family and the issues that now faced them. Both Eve and TC agreed that something must be done to restore their happy home. They first talked about Simone’s moving out, and how they wanted her home but then decided against forcing her to do something that she obviously wouldn’t want to do. “She’s so stubborn sometimes, TC!” Eve announced.

“Yeah, honey you’re right so.” “There’s got to be another solution here because I don’t want my little girl feeling like she’s second best in her own family.” “Damn it, Simone should be home!” TC states getting upset.
“Honey, I know but she’ll never agree to it.” Eve replies.
“Well, at school we don’t know what’s going on with her.” “Or the people she’s meeting, and the boys!” “Eve, I’ll beat down anyone of those knuckleheads who even try to talk to my little girl!” he yells.

“TC calm down, okay.” “Now we have to think about this rationally.”
“Because honey, were not going to always be there to protect our girls and both Simone and Whitney do know right from wrong.” “We just have to trust that we taught our girls right, to live decency.” Eve states.
“Eve, sweetheart you’re so right.” TC said in a calmer state.
“I shouldn’t lose my head over this, it’s just that I want Simone and Whitney to get over that punk Chad and move on!” “Especially, Whitney she’s still brainwashed into thinking that that jerk really loves her.” He continued.

“I know, honey.” “Well, I personally want both of our girls to meet someone from a good background, someone kind and decent.”
“A respectable young man, that’s what they need.” Eve said as she sat there thinking to herself.
“And honey, you know what I think I know who would be perfect for Simone to start seeing.” “I can’t believe I didn’t think about this before?” Eve states suddenly with a smile.
“Well, who honey?” TC remarks.
“This young man, I met recently at the hospital he’s in a training program were developing for future doctors.” “And honey, I think he’s just a little older than Simone is but yes, this definitely could work.” she said.

“Well, I’m definitely intrigued.” TC states. “So, you’ll talk to him and then we’ll talk with Simone.” “And see if we can persuade her about seeing a decent young man, that we chose.”
“Of course.”
“Well, that’s that then.” TC says reaching over to kiss his wife.
“Yes, it’s perfect sweetheart.” Eve states planting a big kiss on his lips.
“Eve, honey I really think that were doing the right thing.”
“Me too, TC.” Eve states.

So, a plan was made Eve and TC weren’t going to take Simone out of the dorms forcing her to face her problems with Whitney head on. Yet, instead if they couldn’t influence her life on a daily basis and keep her protected from what they considered dangerous temptations’ for their daughter. They most definitely would try to influence what kind of young man she got involved with. And as Eve stated a decent, respectable young man with a good background was needed for their youngest daughter. Now, let’s just see if the lively and headstrong Simone will go along with her parents request of who she should start seeing. . .
