Theresa let out a huge yell as she slung her paper’s everywhere. "I’m
stuck." She yelled picking up the phone. Quickly dialing the phone she
waited until a warm voice greeted her.
"Chad here." Was all he said at first.
"Hey." She said softly.
His voice perked up. "Theresa? Whatcha doing girl?" He asked.
"Staring at a floor full of unfinished designs." She sighed.
"Bad day?" He asked.
"Is there such thing as drawer’s block? Because I think I’ve got it."
Chad chuckled, "Just take a deep breath, you’ll get it together."
"I doubt it. This house is just to quite. The kids are with Gwen and
I’m missing them like crazy. Then Gwen saw this picture of me and Ethan
and freaked and I don’t know if she’ll ever talk to me again, and now I
just can’t think." The rambled.
"Slow down Resa. "
"I’m sorry." She whimpered.
"So your friendship with Gwen’s gonna be a slow one. You did know that
to begin with right?" He asked.
Theresa thought for a moment, "Well, we just got along so well last
night that I just thought maybe." She began.
"Theresa, you stole her man from her a few years back. I mean think
about it." He told her.
"I didn’t steal him." Theresa almost yelled.
"You didn’t? Resa you know I’m your friend girl, but be real."
Theresa took a deep breath. "Fine so I did. But I was so young. I told
her how sorry I was."
"Yeah but it’s still gotta sting. Can’t be easy for Gwen to think about
what you did." Chad said in a calm voice.
"True. I just feel so bad. I guess I didn’t think." Theresa admitted.
"Well just give it time. Gwen will come around. After all you two have
the kids in common, work with that."
"Yeah we also have the hostility we feel against Ethan in common. He
stopped by last night by the way." Theresa said curling up on her couch.
"What did he want?" Chad questioned feeling his stomach crawl.
"He asked me to the Fashion Party. But when I told him I asked you,
he went off." Theresa said.
"Went off? Resa what did he do?" Chad asked feeling his anger rise.
"Chad relax he just yelled. Accused me of some stuff. Don’t worry I
handled it. With Miguel’s help of course." She assured her friend.
"Good. I don’t want him starting stuff with you. You’ve got enough
on your plate."
"Yeah. Listen I’m gonna go back to working on these designs."
"All right. Later Resa."
"Bye Chad." She said hanging up the phone.
Theresa fell back on the couch, "I hate it when he’s right." She complained
as a very small grin formed.

Julian and Ivy stood in front of Pilar’s door, "Are you sure she’s up
to company?" Julian asked as Ivy knocked on the door.
"Miguel said she was doing better, I just want to check on her."
"Yes, as usual your right Ivy." He smiled.
Pilar opened the door and looked at the people standing in front of
her, "Ivy, Mr. Crane." She said looking at them. She still wasn’t used
to calling Ivy anything but Mrs. Crane but she had started insisting right
after Kendra was born.
"Julian, Pilar, Please call me Julian."
Pilar smiled. "Come in please." She told them.
Ivy reached out and hugged her. "Pilar how are you?" She questioned
her voice showing concern.
"I feel much better today Ivy, I’m going to get through this now. "
She said.
Julian looked at the woman and smiled, "Pilar we are so glad your doing
better. "
"And you Mr., I mean Julian, how are you?" Pilar asked.
"None of this is easy, but its Kendra and Matt I must give my time
to now."
Pilar nodded, "I still can’t believe they are really gone." She said
looking toward a wedding photo of Sheridan and Luis."
"Hey mama we got anything to drink?" A very sweaty Miguel asked coming
in from the kitchen holding a basketball.
"Yes Ice tea." Pilar answered.
"No, I just drank that." He smiled then looked up at Julian and Ivy.
"Mr. And Mrs. Crane, I didn’t know you were here." He said smiling.
"Ivy, Miguel please its Ivy." Ivy smiled.
"Yes and call me Julian."
"Sure. Well I think I’ll go out and shoot some more." He said.
Julian studied the ball, "Miguel, your very good at that game right?"
"I’d say so." He bragged. "Why?"
"Well Kendra wanted me to play a game of basketball with her, and I
was horrible. " He admitted. "Would you mind showing me a few tips?"
Miguel smiled, the thought of Julian Crane on a basketball court was
to much for him to take. "Yeah sure. Just name the time."
"Well are you playing alone now? You could help me out, uncle to uncle
and give the ladies time to chat." He smiled.
"Sure thing Mr. Crane." Miguel said confused.
"Julian, please Miguel." He laughed as they headed outside.
Pilar looked at Ivy, "Julian Crane playing basketball?" She questioned.
Ivy nodded with a smile, "And Baseball from what he tells me, Chad’s
teaching him that one."
"That’s different isn’t it?" Pilar sighed.
"Yes, but its something I could get use to." Ivy noted with a large
smile.
"Yes I suppose so."
"Pilar how are you really doing? I mean really?" Ivy said as they sat
down.
"I still feel numb, but I realized last night, I have two children
and two grandchildren who need me. I just don’t understand why this happened,
but perhaps I’m not suppose to." She sighed holding back tears she was
tired of crying.
Ivy put her hand on Pilar’s shoulder, "We will all make it Pilar, you
just have to remember that." She said hugging Pilar as they both began
to cry.

Ethan stood in his new apartment, boxes covered the place. He sat down on the floor and began to unpack, still thinking of Hank’s words to him. He pulled out a few books as a note fell out. He picked it up and swallowed hard as he read it:
Ethan,
I miss you so much! I can’t believe your back home in harmony for
the summer and I’m stuck here in Paris. Its so unfair! I’m almost 18 years
old, I wanta come home and hang out with normal people but Father says
its not right. ‘Common’ people will mess me up! Anyway how is your summer?
I bet you miss Gwen don’t ya? At least you have to suffer a summer with
out her hehe. Just kidding. I know how much you two love each other. I
want love like that someday too. But I guess you don’t want to hear that
stuff from your AUNT! The truth is your one of my only real friends, well
you and Gwen, I just feel so alone. I don’t know what I would do if I lost
you. But like you say I am stuck with you. Oh guess what, I went shopping
yesterday (as usual) and bought me and Gwen matching dresses. Dumb I know,
BUT I thought we could wear them back in Harmony one day Pretend we’re
twins. OK so I’m loosing it! It just sounded like a cute idea. Oh well
I better stop writing now, Write me back nephew! (I’m so grinning right
now). Later heartbreaker.
Always
Sheridan
Ethan held the letter in his hand, how had he kept it so long? He didn’t
understand, but as he reread it again he wiped a tear. "Hank’s right, its
time to start over! Not just for me but for Sheridan." He said to himself
clutching the letter to his heart.
