"Talk to me Julian, tell me what’s going on." Ivy frowned.
"Ivy darling, what I have to tell you will change our lives." Julian
said then sighed. "Again." He finished.
"So out with it Julian, what have you done now?"
Julian looked at his wife and realized she had no clue what he was
talking about. "Oh no Ivy, its nothing bad, actually it has to do with
something I did many years ago." He explained.
"That’s even worse Julian! You were horrible back then." She said shaking
her head.
"Yes you’re right, but Ivy this isn’t a horrible thing, if it is even
anything at all."
"Julian you’re confusing me." Ivy said glaring at Julian. "Just spit
it out."
Julian took a deep breath, "Do you remember when I used to have those,
um, well those affairs?" He gulped.
"You mean when you used to bed every woman that would have you? Yes
Julian, I haven’t forgot that." She almost hissed.
Julian frowned, "Darling, do you remember me talking about Chad’s mother?"
He questioned.
"You once said she had looks but no heart, what about her?"
"Well she has alot to do with what I'm about to say."
Ivy sighed. "Julian, if your getting ready to tell me you're seeing
that woman again, then get ready to die!"
"No, nothing like that! I love you Ivy, only you darling, my cheating
days are no more."
"Then what is it?" Ivy asked again.
"Ivy there’s no easy way to say this, but I realized something a few
months ago."
"A few months ago? And your just now telling me?" She questioned her
voice rising.
"Yes, but it really didn't sink end, I mean I hate that woman, and
what I realized made me hate her even more."
"Is it about Chad?" Ivy questioned.
Julian shook his head. "No Ivy, not Chad, this has to do with Justin."
Ivy stood up, "Justin?" She said her mind whirling. "What about Justin?"
"Ivy, I have reason to believe Justin is my son."

Theresa heard music playing as she wrapped her arms around Chad. "Its
been so long since I actually danced." She laughed.
"Maybe that’s my fault Resa, I haven’t exactly took you out a lot."
Chad frowned.
"We have the kids Chad, its hard." Theresa smiled.
You know our love was meant to be
The kind of love to last forever
And I want you here with me
From tonight until the end of time
You should know
Everywhere I go
Always on my mind
In my heart
In my soul
"Oh I love this song." Theresa said resting her head on Chad.
"I thought you might."
"Thank you so much for this Chad." She whispered.
Baby, you're the meaning in my life
You're the inspiration
You bring feeling to my life
You're the inspiration
Wanna have you near me
I wanna have you hear me saying
"No one needs you more than I need you"
Theresa had never felt such a warmth as she did just being in Chad’s arms. With him she felt this strange sense of peace, so much so that sometimes it scared her. Just knowing she could lean on him gave her such a comfort, a feeling she had longed to feel.
And I know (And I know)
Yes I know that it's plain to see
So in love when we're together
Now I know (Now I know)
That I need you here with me
From tonight until the end of time
You should know (Yes, you need to know)
Everywhere I go
You're always on my mind
You're in my heart
In my soul
Chad felt Theresa rest her head on his shoulder and he smiled. It was
as if God had sent him the sweetest angel he had. In his life he had felt
love, but he also had lost love, yet nothing compared to what he felt when
he looked at Theresa. He need to question how he felt when it came to her,
because he just knew. He knew it was right every time he heard her name,
or when her smile shined up at him.
You're the meaning in my life
You're the inspiration
You bring feeling to my life
You're the inspiration
Wanna have you near me
I wanna have you hear me saying
"No one needs you more than I need you"
(No one needs you more than I)
Wanna have you near me
I wanna have you hear me saying
"No one needs you more than I need you"
(No one needs you more)
"I am so in love with you." She whispered to Chad moving to look at
him as he smiled at her.
"Its amazing isn’t it?" He smiled.
"Totally."
And for her amazing didn’t begin to describe it. She had promised herself
she’d never fall again, the day Ethan left her she declared she would never
let another man in. Chad had changed every vow she had made. He had broke
all the walls that she had built around her heart, and now she felt a joy
that she knew wouldn’t leave.
You're the meaning in my life
You're the inspiration
You bring feeling to my life
You're the inspiration
When you love somebody
'Til the end of time
When you love somebody
Always on my mind

Chad could only reach down and kiss her lips as the song ended, wanting to let her know just how deep his love went. Watching Theresa find strength to not just love again, but live as well had changed him. He rarely saw the girl she used to be, her brother’s death had forced her to grow up, and with it came a new understanding for her. Looking at her as he pulled away, he realized her eyes still glittered with the youth of who she once was, love was still the most important thing to her, though now she handled it in a much different way.
"Do I hear a phone ringing?" She suddenly questioned looking up at him.
Chad listened and frowned. "My cell is ringing."
"Then answer it." She told him.
"Resa don’t worry about It, I’m sure its Justin wanting money or something."
He laughed.
"Or it could be someone calling about one of the kids Chad, please
answer it for me."
Chad sighed walking over to pick up the phone.
"Chad here." He said then frowned. "Grace hey."
"Is everything okay?" Theresa quickly asked.
"But she’s feeling better now? Well that’s good. Okay tell her we’ll
be home soon." Chad hung up the phone and looked at Theresa. "Kenji has
a tummy ache." He smiled. "Nothing to worry about, but she said she wanted
you."
Theresa frowned. "Did Grace say how bad it is? Did she give her anything
for it?"
"Girl take a deep breath, Kenji is fine, she just wants you. Grace
said she brought the kids back to your house so Kenji could rest in her
own bed."
"Then let’s go, my baby needs me." She said rushing out the door, Chad
chasing in behind her.

Gwen and Miguel walked into the Book Café and headed for a table.
"I’m glad you decided to come with me today." Miguel smiled as they sat
down, "Its nice just to hang out, ya know?"
"Hang out." Gwen laughed. "Its been so long since I hung out."
"Gwen you make it sound like your over the hill, and your not." Miguel
said standing up, "Now I’m going to get our coffee, you just sit here."
He smiled.
Walking to the counter he smiled at Beth, "Two coffees."
"Just a plain coffee day?" She laughed.
"Yeah, something like that."
"Dude, is it really true?" A voice said beside Miguel, looking over
he realized it was a friend from school.
"Trevor, how’s it going?" Miguel asked.
"Fine here man, so is it true, you dating that rich chick?"
Miguel frowned. "Her name is Gwen, and yeah we’re dating."
"Dude, she’s like way older isn’t she?" Trevor questioned.
Miguel looked over to where Gwen sat then turned back to Trevor, "No
man, she’s not."
"Oh you lie. That chick was engaged to that guy, Ethan Crane. She’s
like thirty, you like the mature ones huh man?" Trevor said with a grin.
"She isn’t thirty, and Gwen is totally cool."
"She’s sexy, I’ll give you that." Trevor smirked nudging Miguel. "You’re
one lucky man."
Miguel shook his head. "Yeah I am lucky but it has nothing to do with
Gwen’s looks, or her age, its all about who she is man."
Trevor frowned. "Ouch, you’ve got it bad."
Miguel smiled. "You got that right."
Beth looked at the two men, "Miguel here’s your coffee."
Miguel went to take the cups but his eyes suddenly went to Beth’s hand.
"Wait a second, that looks like a wedding ring." He said his eyes becoming
huge.
Beth couldn’t help but smile. "That’s right it is."
"You got married? When? To who?" He questioned.
Beth blushed. "We didn’t plan on telling anyone yet, but I don’t see
what it would hurt. Ethan and I got married Miguel, and I’ve never felt
so alive."

Chad walked Grace to the door as Theresa walked over to Kendra who was
resting on the couch. "You feeling any better sweetie?"
"My tummy still hurts." She frowned.
"Baby was it something you ate?" Theresa asked wrapping her arms around
the little girl.
"Uh huh." Kendra frowned. "It was something yucky."
"What did you eat Kenji?"
Kendra wrinkled her nose. "It was called Tomato Stew Cake and it was
sooooo gross." She frowned.
Chad and Theresa both started laughing, "I think you mean Tomato Soup
Cake." Chad laughed.
"Maybe but it made me hurt all over Aunt Resa." Kendra frowned.
Theresa kissed her forehead, "Why don’t you go upstairs and get in
your bed, I bet Jada’s already asleep."
"Aunt Resa, can I sleep with you tonight? Just in case my tummy hurts
worser?"
Theresa smiled. "Of course, go on and get in my bed, I’ll be up in
a little while."
Kendra hugged her aunt, kissing her on the cheek. "I love you Aunt
Resa."
"Love you too baby." Theresa smiled.
"Night Chad!" Kendra said as she bounced up the stairs.
"See you later Kenji."
When Kendra had disappeared Theresa sighed. "Well that cake did it again
huh?"
Chad laughed, "It should be outlawed."
Theresa smiled, "Actually Mama made her on version of that cake once,
right from a book, and it tasted okay. She thinks Grace puts extra stuff
in that thing." Theresa said with a laugh.
"Well what ever it is, it just ain’t right." Chad frowned.
"You got that right!" Theresa said, "Another night spoiled as expected."
"But you love this life don’t you?" Chad asked smiling.
"I’m starting to get used to it, I mean I wish Luis was here, but Chad
I’m so attached to the kids now."
"And that’s a good thing." Chad smiled. "Because you are the parent
now Resa, I know its weird, but its true."
She nodded. "Yeah."
"So speaking of kids, do you want me to go get my rugrat?"
Theresa smiled. "She can stay here tonight Chad, she’s already asleep,
no need to wake her."
"I love you." Chad laughed.
"Well I’m glad." Theresa said kissing him.
Moving from her he smiled. "But I do have to get home, Justin better
be there when I get there or heads are going to roll." He laughed.
"Take it easy on him Chad."
"Oh he’ll be fine." He winked kissing Theresa once again. "Baby you
know I love you right?"
"Of course."
"And I’ll make tonight up to you I promise."
"Chad its okay." Theresa smiled.
"But I had so much planned."
"And we’ll get to it, just not tonight." She shrugged walking him to
the door.
"I’ll call you tomorrow." He said kissing her lips softly. "Or you
can just call me when you want me to come get Jada."
"Which ever." Theresa said her face glowing.
"Bye."
Theresa shut the door and smiled looking upward she whispered. "Thank
you for him." Her heart pounded as she walked into the kitchen, opening
the refrigerator to pour a glass of orange juice. Her life was good, in
fact she couldn’t think of many things that could make it better. Taking
a sip of the orange juice she heard her door bell ring.
"He forgot something." She laughed walking to back into her living
room opening the front door, juice in hand. Looking outside she was confused
until she looked down, her eyes becoming large at the sight.
There on one knee Chad sat looking up at her with a nervous smile,
"Well this worked the night of our first kiss, so I thought hey why
not." He laughed.
"Chad, what’s going on?" She asked taking in a deep breath.
"See I knew I forgot something tonight." He said looking up at her,
"And I figured I’d go ahead and just throw it out there now."
"What?" She swallowed.
"What I'm trying to say well actually ask is more like it. Chad rambled.
Then looked back up at Theresa,
"Marry me Theresa."He finally said watching her eyes go to the ring
in his hand, as the glass in her hand crashed to the floor.
