Somehow I Will Ch.58 When It Hits

His eyes peered at them, guilty looks on both of their faces. "Well?
What are you two talking about?" Justin questioned. "I heard my name so
spill."
Julian looked over at Chad. "Should we? Should I? Or maybe you should."
He rambled.
"Say what?" Justin asked. "Should ya’ll do what, somebody better start
talking."
Chad took a deep breath. "I think you need to sit down for this one
Jut, because your not going to believe it."
"I’m not sitting down." Justin frowned crossing his arms. "Tell me
what’s going on!"
"I’m not sure how." Chad said honestly. "I think I’m still in shock."
"I know son, believe me I know." Julian said looking over at Justin.
"Hello?" Justin said waving his hands in the air, "Remember me?"
"Justin do you remember when we talked about finding you father?" Chad
questioned.
"Yeah but we decided we didn’t want to find him." Justin spoke sitting
down in a kitchen chair.
"Well what would you say if I told your father may have just found
you?" Chad said sitting down next to the worried fifteen year old.
"I’d say he can go back to where he came from. I don’t need no man
coming into my life now. "
"Justin, listen to me." Chad began.
"No! I’ve got a family, If some man has came around claiming me, he’s
a little late!"
"Jut he didn’t know about you." Chad sighed.
"Didn’t know or didn’t care?" Justin countered.
"He honestly didn’t know."
"So there is a man? Some dude claiming to be my father?" He questioned.
Chad nodded. "Yeah."
"Well tell him he can leave, I’ve got you and Jada, and your marrying
Theresa, we’re going to have a big family, I don’t need this man in my
life."
"Don’t you want to know him?" Chad questioned.
Justin looked up at Julian. "Look just cause you and your dad’s got
all close don’t mean I won’t that with some dude. I want it the way it
is!"
"You have to listen to me Justin. Let me tell you who he is." Chad
said looking over at Julian. "I think once you hear more you’ll change
your mind."
Justin sat studying Chad, "You act like you know this guy."
"I do."
"Wait does he live in Harmony?" Justin questioned.
"Yeah bro he does."
"Who in Harmony thinks I’m his son?" Justin almost yelled.
"I do." Julian said looking down at him. "Justin I believe you are
my son."
There was a long pause as Justin’s eyes bolted up to Julian Crane.
First he glanced over at Chad, half expecting him to be laughing at the
sick joke at hand. Instead his brother had his head down, waiting for someone
else to speak. Justin had always hated silence, and yet there they were
three men just staring at each other, not knowing what to say.
Finally Justin stood up, his eyes connecting with Chad’s. "Is he drunk?"
He blurted. "No wait, are you both drunk?" he yelled out. "Julian Crane
my father? No I don’t think so! Ain’t no way that man is my father." He
spoke to Chad. "Mother would have cashed in on that on."
"She didn’t cash in on me." Chad noted looking up at his brother.
"Justin, your mother never wanted my money, she wanted a good time.
She liked her life, the parties, the bar."
"The drugs." Justin added crossing his arms. "The drugs are why I’m
here now. So why didn’t she cash in on the Crane bucks? If I am your son
why didn’t she take you for everything."
"Maybe Al stopped her." Chad said looking up at Julian.
Julian nodded. "Yes my father could have known."
Justin shook his head. "No! You’re not my father! If you were you would
have known before now!" He yelled.
"I asked your mother how old you were once, she lied to me Justin,
lied about your age. It was until your birthday that I learned your true
age. That’s when I put it together. I’m not saying I know for sure, but
there is a chance that you belong to me."
"You honestly think I’m your son?" Justin swallowed.
"Yes Justin, I believe I am your father."
Justin looked over at Chad, "What do you think about this?"
Chad shrugged. "I think that if you belong to dad it will be a answer
to my prayers."
"How so?" Justin questioned.
"Jut think about it, we’ve worried about someone coming here wanting
to take you away from me. If you belong to dad, that won’t happen. We’re
safe. Not only that but we share both a mother and a father." He smiled.
"It couldn’t be a better situation."
"What about you?" Justin said turning to Julian. "What do you think
about it?"
Julian smiled. "I would love to have you as a son Justin."
Justin sighed. "Would you make me leave Chad’s house?"
Julian shook his head. "I simply want to be apart of your life. You
have lived with Chad for a while now, if you’re happy there I understand."
"So what next?" Justin asked. "I mean don’t we have to take some kind
of test?"
"I can have that set up soon. Or I can go to your mother with this."
"No!" Justin and Chad both yelled.
"Then I’ll call about the Test."
"You know if you are my father, I can’t make you no promises." Justin
frowned. "You might be my father, but its gonna take time."
"We have plenty time." Julian said looking over at Chad, "Right son?"
"Yeah dad, all the time in the world."

"Father, Mother, are you here?" Gwen called out as she walked into her
parents den.
"Yes darling, come right in." Jonathan smiled looking up at his daughter.
"Gwen you’re here." Rebecca called out running down the stairs.
"Yes Mother I’m here." Gwen sighed as her mother grabbed her into a
huge hug. Gwen almost lost her breath at the scent of her mother’s strong
perfume.
"Darling what a surprise to see you here." Jonathan said looking up
from his paper.
Gwen looked over at her father, "Well I thought I should drop in."
"Yes, yes of course dear." Rebecca smiled. "Does this mean that you
and young Marcell are finished?" Rebecca asked.
"Miguel, his name is Miguel! M-I-G-U-E-L." Gwen yelled out suddenly.
"Miguel then, have you dumped the boy?" Rebecca sighed.
"No Mother, Miguel and I are still together. In fact I was wondering
if you two would be interested in getting together with us sometime? Perhaps
at the Club?"
"Our Club? The Club?" Rebecca swallowed looking over at her husband.
"Darling she wants us all to go to the club"
"Yes, I heard. " Jonathan frowned taking off his glasses. "Gwen do
you think that’s a wise idea?"
"I don’t know why not." Gwen said looking over at the terrified look
on her mother’s face.
"But dear, do you think Miguel would enjoy something like that?" Her
father questioned. "I mean the club is very private."
"Yes daddy, that’s why I think it would be a great place to go. I really
want you to get to know Miguel better."
"But the Country Club? Oh Gwen, what would people say?" Rebecca frowned
putting a hand on her face.
Gwen stepped back, her hands finding their way to her hips. "Not this
again!" She said glaring at her mother. "Daddy tell her she’s acting like
a child."
Jonathan sighed. "Gwen, darling we love you, and if you want to date
this boy, we can’t stop you, but to carry him to the Club where are friends
are? People you work with go there, think about the business."
"The business? What does my love life have to do with work?"
"You really think those men will want to make deals with a woman who
is dating a child? Gwen they won’t take you serious." Jonathan frowned.
"Now we’ve tried to hide this secret the best we know how, but if you just
go to the club with the boy, well it wouldn’t be good."
"I don’t believe this!" Gwen yelled. "Your doing this to me too daddy?
But you said you could accept Miguel, you told me you were on my side."
"Darling I never said it in those words." Jonathan sighed. "You misunderstood."
"Gwen, you’ve changed since you’ve been around those people, you’re
not the same person you were." Rebecca complained.
"That’s because I have a heart now mother!" Running her fingers through
her hair she looked over at her parents. "You know what? I’ve had it with
both of you! I can’t take your consent judgment. Until you learn to accept
me for who I am I can’t come here anymore! And as for work, daddy you don’t
have to worry about what people will think because I quit! I don’t want
to be anywhere near your business or the hypocrites that you call friends!"
Her voice was loud as she turned her back, her hands trembling.
"Gwen! You can’t mean this." Her father scolded.
"I do mean it . Miguel is so wonderful, and if you think I’m going
to walk away from him because you don’t like his age or where he comes
from then you’re both crazy! I don’t need to work with you daddy, I can
work anywhere!"
"But Gwen, how do I explain this to the ladies?" Rebecca whined chasing
after her daughter.
"Tell them I said if they don’t like it kiss it!" She called out as
she slammed the door in Rebecca’s face.
