"He needs you now, not me. He loves you
Elise but I'm sure that you know that by now." Matt looks at her and
blinks his eyes. It's hard for him to speak. Fatigue is evident on his
face. He is straining so hard, but why?

"Save your strength honey. Just rest. I'll be here when you awaken." A single tear falls from his eye.

"Elise, I want you to marry me now, right here, right now! I might not
have tomorrow or the next minute. I have wanted us to be married for so
long. If I die, I want to be your husband. I want it to be official."
Ellen can not believe what she's hearing.

"Yes Matt. Whatever you say."

The minister begins the ceremony as Joe, Karen, Kevin and Eve come in.
"What's going on?" Eve asks Mrs. Mancusi.

"Instead of Eric's last rites, he's marrying Elise. There isn't much time left and he wants her to be
his wife. He told me that he felt that something would happen to prevent
them from being happy, but this way he can die happily." Eve and Kevin
look at each other.

"Do you believe that? He has everything planned out to the letter. I hope that Matt can pull through this!" Matt looks at
the minister and then at Ellen.

"... I present to you Drs. Ellen and Matthew Harmon. You may now kiss the bride." With all the strength that
he had left he smiled and raised his head a little and was met by her
waiting lips. It was a warm and gentle kiss that grew a fainter and
fainter.

"I love you Elise. My dream is now complete and I'll rest happily now. My love will keep you warm at night. We'll be together forever. Never forget how much I loved you." In a faint whisper, and
then he was gone.

As Ellen kissed him, she felt him fade away from her.

His lips gently moves away from hers. Just then he flatlined! BEEP!!!!!
Ellen's face was in fixed on his still, lifeless body.

"NO! You're dying on me! I know that some part of you is still here with me! You can't
die! Breathe!!" Ellen starts emergency CPR. She breathes into his mouth
and counts.

"BREATHE! Matt! Come on and fight! This is not the Matthew
Harmon that I know and love. I felt ONE more breathe when I kissed you
and least ONE more! Give it to me!" She strikes his chest with her fist.

"I know that you can hear me! You said that you'd never leave me!
BREATHE or I'll... I'll be start crying again!" Ellen starts to cry as
she sees that her attempts were futile. He's gone.

"Ellen you tried. You did all that anyone could expect." Kevin pulls her away.

"I can't leave him. I just can't!" All of a sudden, there was a sound on the monitor.

"Your kiss brought me back to life. How could I die knowing what was
waiting for me back here! Besides, you know how much I hate to see you
cry. You promised me a child and I can hardly wait to start get
started." He wiped her tears away with his fingers.

"Oh Matt don't you ever scare me like that again. I was so scared!" He reaches up and
kisses her.

"I'm back now and here is where I'll aways be! Your love
brought me back. I could feel that I had lost you but there was nothing
that I could do, then I felt you fighting for me! I was literally in
death's grip but you snatched out of it's grasp and here and I am. I
know that you TRULY love me because the money was already yours. You
didn't need ME for that. Any other woman would have taken the money and
ran, but you keep fighting until I can back to you. For that, I will
spend my life making you happy as if I had something else to do." They
smile at each other warmly.

"Matt, I didn't want to go on without you.
You mean so much to me. I love you!"

With this much love how can they
NOT be together forever?
