you betrayed me
yes you did
you had lied to me
from your seducing lips

who was i too you
nothing but a fling
i thought love
was a many splendor thing

the affiar ended
and so did my old life
when you loving lies became
the hurting truth
when you took in a wife

my baby died
you'll never know
that loving feeling
the clear, wanted glow

when TC came into my life
he loved me so
and made me his wife

by time and time again
i wonder... what could have been

my sexy nights at the jazz club
in boston where i sang
