Chapter 5
Alistair sat in his bed while she stood that end. She was dressed for
tonight’s game and was trying to look bored. The games always ended the
same and she would close her eyes and think of her mission. She had a purpose
that drove her to this and look on her sister’s face when her life fell
apart was enough to make Liz come every time. It wasn’t that Alistair was
a horrible lover; it was just that she despised him.
“I’m here sir.” She could feel the cold on her back and hated her outfit
immediately. It was barely two pieces of cloths and she had a feeling he
kept his room colder than the others on purpose.
“Come here, wench.” He reached up from his position and pulled her by
the arm. He smashed his lips on to hers and pushed his tongue in her mouth.
His hands went about her roughly and she hoped he wouldn’t leave bruises.
When he ripped off the two pieces of cloths, she closed her eyes and thought
of T.C.
“Thinking of your Black lover? Your brother in law? You can think of him
all you want, sl*t. I’m the one screwing you tonight.” He stormed into her
then. He took her violently three times that night before he was done.
“Well, that was excellent, sir. Best I ever had…really.” She searched
the floor for the coat she wore there. She was taken aback she felt hand
hard on the back of her head. The hit almost knocked her out and she went
face first on the floor.
“Don’t ever get sarcastic about my bed skills, b*tch. You come every time
and don’t you forget it.” Alistair would not have the wh*re’s sister mock
him. She wasn’t even a major player in this and he was only doing her because
they cancelled Third Watch and he had nothing better to do in this time slot.
“I’m sorry. You said you have something on my sister. You said you would
help me and it’s been two months. You’ve told me nothing.” Liz sat on the
floor while looking up at Alistair. He stood like a sad giant above her.
“Okay, you’ve been a piece of ass so I guess I can tell you. Plus, I’m
tired of having sex with you. I can find something else to watch. Your sister
has a secret that would destroy her marriage. Even more than the fact that
she was once shacked up with my idiot of a son. Half wit.” He drifted off
for a moment. His son was weak and stupid—a major and constant disappointment.
Lately, he had grown some balls and Alistair had to admire that much. Alistair
still hated him though and that made him a little sad because he had wanted
to at least like one of his offspring.
“I know all this. She left me to live a horrible sinful life while I was
being raped by my father.” Liz tried not to spit these words; Alistair would
tell her nothing if she was mean.
“You know that I know that’s a lie right? I’m Alistair…hello?” He couldn’t
believe she tried to push that story on him of all people. Eve was as stupid
as his son not to have that checked out as soon as she said it. It took Alistair
all of two hours to find out that Liz lived at home for all of two weeks
after Eve left to sing in bars. Her parents sent her away to live with nuns
for fear she would end up like her big sister.
“Well those nuns were mean and it was all her fault I went there. There
was one that was looking at me funny all the time.”
“So you had to set the church on fire, right?” He went over to his small
table and poured himself a brandy.
“Listen, she left me alone with our crazy strict parents and quite frankly,
I don’t see why she gets to have a husband and kids and a great career. While
I…I have nothing.” Liz never loved any man until recently. Through all her
hate and venom for her sister, she felt love for her husband. She felt it
the moment he touched her. She knew that they would be together.
“This is more about T.C than justice. Don’t lie to me. I’ll tell you what
you want. Julian and Eve had a child.”
Liz’s mouth dropped open. She knew that this would be the thing that could
make T.C hers forever. She knew that this would damage the perfect image
he had of her and see Liz as the more desirable wife.
“Tell me more.” Liz licked her lips and threw her head back. Alistair
found this pose most becoming. He had been dying to tell someone about his
scheme anyway and she was as good as person as any. Twenty five years after
the most delicious and cruel joke ever and Alistair could still laugh full
heartedly.
